The apartment is on Viale Buon Pastore, in a quiet residential area a few minutes from the centre of Modena: quiet enough to rest properly, close enough to reach everything on foot or by bike.
The interiors were put together by the owner, a gallery owner by profession: original modern design pieces and contemporary artworks, each chosen individually, give the flat a character rarely found in a short-stay apartment.
It offers 38 sqm of bright space, with a double bed and a single bed — up to three guests — a well-equipped kitchenette, a comfortable bathroom and a large balcony, pleasant for breakfast in the morning and for a pause in the evening. Air conditioning and wi-fi complete the amenities.
Everything needed day to day is close at hand: supermarkets, bakery, cafés, pharmacy, neighbourhood restaurants. The city hospital, the university faculties and the historic centre — Piazza Grande, the Cathedral and the Ghirlandina tower — are all a few minutes away. For those arriving by car, the ring road and the Modena Sud motorway exit are nearby, and parking is easy compared with the centre.

I work in interior design and run a gallery specialising in modern design and contemporary art. My work has always involved a great deal of travelling, and whenever I can take a break I use it to discover new places. That is how I learned what makes a home pleasant for a short stay — order, light, quiet and a few beautiful things to look at. This is the hospital and university district, so it is a practical base for anyone in town for medical care, study or work. The historic centre — Piazza Grande, the Cathedral and the Ghirlandina tower, a UNESCO World Heritage site — along with the Albinelli covered market and the Enzo Ferrari Museum, is a few minutes away by bike or bus, or about a half-hour walk.
