Welcome to Casa Morandi between Bologna's history and culture. Casa Morandi is the result of the extensive restoration of a portion of a farmhouse from the early 1900s.
The restoration, completed in 2014, has preserved the building's characteristics while respecting historical and documentary constraints. It has also incorporated all the currently possible improvements in terms of seismic safety and energy efficiency. We have chosen a photovoltaic system for electricity and a geothermal system to cover the heating, active and passive cooling, and hot water needs of the building.
The spacious garden with a grill area and a separate room will allow guests to enjoy their stay with freedom, organizing meetings and barbecues independently.
During the renovation, the possibility of combining the various rooms of the residence was considered, making it easy to transform them into two separately rentable apartments, each with its own mini kitchen.
The experience of hospitality, as well as local history and culture, can be felt in every corner of the rooms. Each room is named after a little-known curiosity of Bologna, and inside you will find the story told in multiple languages, including the local Bolognese dialect, to allow curious guests to discover something unusual and lesser-known about our beautiful city.

Beautiful property in a renovated and well-maintained historic farmhouse. The owner is always present and available. Close to the highway exit and a few minutes from downtown Bologna. Large private outdoor parking for the property. I recommend it.

Upon our arrival, there were 28.6 degrees in our room; we stayed for two days, and despite the night ventilation and the fan, we didn't have less than 27 degrees, and on top of that, there was constant car noise because the room faced a very busy road, which made our stay not very pleasant. The breakfast was tasteless, consisting of industrial products individually wrapped in plastic. These are the only negative points, unfortunately.

La nostra struttura è stata ristrutturata cercando di rispettare quanto più possibile l'ambiente e l'impianto di raffrescamento a pavimento permette di avere una temperatura in stanza di una decina di gradi in meno rispetto all'esterno. Per quanto riguarda la colazione la normativa prevede la somministrazione di prodotti confezionati per i quali cerchiamo comunque di offrire qualità ai nostri ospiti, oltre a frutta fresca, yogurt, cereali, succhi, bevande per ogni tipo di intolleranze, alimenti senza glutine, caffè in grani macinato al momento, ecc... Se ci avesse manifestato qualche genere di disappunto le saremmo venuti incontro come possibile, dedicandovi il tempo necessario, come abbiamo fatto suggerendovi le eccellenze nei dintorni per i vostri pasti, come muovervi in economia con o senza auto per andare in centro a Bologna, dove parcheggiare dentro e fuori dal centro e cosa vedere. In ultimo, siamo dispiaciuti che il rapporto qualità/prezzo meriti un 5 dal momento che avete pagato 45€ a testa per pernotto in b&b a Boloigna con parcheggio incluso e cane. The B&B is very convenient for visiting Bologna. The structure is comfortable and particularly welcoming. It was Maurizia who told us many curiosities about the city and gave us useful information about where to eat well. The breakfast was excellent with many products.

We stayed at Casa Morandi in June 2022 for 3 nights to visit Bologna. The house is not located close to the center, but Bologna is easily reachable by bus. Additionally, near the house there is a tavern with delicious dishes, definitely better than what we found in Bologna. House reached by taxi from the airport. We walked a lot to reach the bus and the tavern, but the atmosphere was beautiful, the house magical, with 3 beautiful cats, the garden, and very kind owners. Normal breakfast with the very kind lady, with whom we enjoyed chatting very much.

Very beautiful structure. I don't give it a 10 only because of the location. In fact, being outside Bologna, it is absolutely necessary to have a car to reach it. However, I had chosen it, so I have no complaints at all, but for those traveling without a car, it is not recommendable. Clean, bright, sunny, welcoming. It's worth the price and I will definitely come back. The breakfast is very rich. I give it an 8 because unfortunately I don't like coffee with pods and only that was served (together with tea, fruit juices, and herbal teas).

Let's start by saying that I didn't have a bad experience, so let's clear the field from misleading interpretations! I agree with those who complain about breakfast because a coffee in the room with a packaged croissant (without even a brand and ingredients so you can understand the taste or allergens) is not the best for me, it actually makes me sad! I understand the rules, but a small breakfast room would be nice! The room decor (all different) could be a gem but tastes cannot always be satisfied: personally, I find the Napoleon one disturbing! Last note: at 10 am, a person of color not well identifiable as a floor waiter knocks on my door to see if I was there or if I had already left. But if the check-out time is at 11, why knock at 10? You should start knocking from 11:15 onwards, I say! Personally, I don't like animals in the house and I would find it fair that this note was written in the structure's presentation! I understand that cats are indoor animals more than outdoor.

The house is very beautiful, a typical ancient building well restored, the rooms are very well taken care of, spacious and elegant and the level of cleanliness is impeccable. A very nice B+B with all the trimmings. A small downside is the location outside Bologna. A car is advantageous here, although the connection by bus to the city center works very well. The remaining points such as breakfast and room are simply superbly implemented with an eye for detail.

High-quality Bed and Breakfast, welcoming and modern structure, extremely clean environment, spacious rooms, abundant breakfast rich in excellent quality products. The owner was very kind and always available. Bed and Breakfast very close to the center of Bologna, yet in a green setting. Recently renovated modern structure, high comfort thanks to the most modern plant technologies. Warm environments. Always available drinks and hot or cold beverages. A jewel of Bologna.

I was leading a group of eleven people. Everyone had a great time, they really appreciated the structure, the beauty and comfort of the rooms, the availability of Maurizia, always ready to do her best to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The location of the structure is at a good distance from the Bologna ring road, so not too far from anything, but enough to be quiet and peaceful. The rooms are comfortable, each furnished according to a different theme, very nice. The structure is very clean. Also for what concerns breakfast, the group was very satisfied with the variety of foods presented to us. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Bologna.

Very charming and very clean rooms. Excellent, rich and varied breakfast. The lady is very kind and helpful, if I find myself in those parts again I would not hesitate to return.

The vote for the manager is not due to lack of kindness, but to the difficulty of organization upon our arrival. Clean room, although a bit noisy (street side), good breakfast. Overall a good B&B.

A unique sensation, the Napoleone room is fantastic. The attention to detail of the property is priceless, like scented candles and the opportunity to live as if you were at home. Very convenient for those who need to work in the fair area, no more than 8-10 minutes by car. Next time I come back I want to try other rooms, as they are all different from each other and especially I would like to enjoy the barbecue available to guests for grilling with friends. A naif B&B as the property likes to define it :) I recommend adding savory products to breakfast, from eggs, to ham, to cheese, to some savory cake.

Grazie per la bella recensione che mi era sfuggita. Purtroppo per quanto riguarda la colazione è la normativa che disciplina i b&b a prevedere che possano essere serviti solo prodotti confezionati e monodose. C'erano però a disposizione un frigo e dei fornelli per cucinarvi ciò che preferivate....questo per offrire il massimo dell'elasticità rimanendo nei parametri di ciò che è consentito.
