Description

Our B&B is located in a strategic position, a 5-minute walk from the train station, very close to the historic center, you can reach Piazza Maggiore and the Due Torri on foot and any other place by public transport.

It is well connected to the Fair and the Unipol Arena.

Casa Margot is on the second floor with an elevator in a very quiet 1960s condominium.

The house has a fast and free Wi-Fi connection.

The washing machine, kitchenette, and the possibility to add an extra bed are only available for the double room.

Smoking is allowed on the balconies.

Being a small Bed & Breakfast, it is impossible for us to prepare cakes and other homemade foods, but we offer packaged products for a varied and abundant breakfast, available on request for vegan and gluten-free options.

I'm Margherita but everyone calls me Margot because for many years together with my husband I ran a clothing boutique with this name.

Now I'm a widow and retired so I decided to move from Puglia here to Bologna where my daughter lives who has created this B&B to help me pay for the household expenses.

We will put all our passion and willingness to help you spend a pleasant stay in this wonderful city.

Casa Margot is a 5-minute walk from Bologna Central train station, a 5-minute walk from Via Indipendenza, a 15-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore and the Two Towers. It can be easily reached by train, bus, plane and by car because it is not a restricted traffic area.
Close to house there are buses to reach any point of the city, Fair, Hospitals, Museums, Universities and there is also the shuttle to the Unipol Arena for live concerts.

Near the house there are the post office, the supermarket, the car rental, tobacco shops, laundries, bars and all kind of restaurants.
It's located in a strategic point from which the liveliest areas of Bologna can be reached in just a few minutes: the Montagnola, via del Pratello and the Cineteca in via Azzo Gardino.
The area is rather quiet and the condominium has a day porter and a night watchman.

I had a pleasant stay at Casa Margot. I expected a room but got a whole apartment with a spacious kitchen and a bathroom. I knew from previous travels that an Italian breakfast can be different from what I usually have for breakfast. Not really a problem, I just bought what I wanted in one of the supermarkets.

I stayed for one night in this place and I must say that I had a great time. Excellent location near the train station and bus stops. The room was spotless and equipped with everything. I slept very well because the mattress and pillows were really comfortable. The owner was very kind, she explained everything about the room and also advised me on the safest and fastest routes to get to the place I needed to go. I have stayed in several B&Bs in Bologna, but this is without a doubt the best (especially for the comfort and friendliness of the owner!). I will definitely come back.

The apartment is small but very comfy and there is more than enough for solo traveller. And location is great - near to the Station and also city centre. And the host is nice and welcoming. Dear Claudia, thank you so much for your hospitality and guiding me.

Super convenient B&B just 5 minutes walk from the station and 15 minutes walk from the city center. Quiet and well-kept, with a reception at the entrance. The hostess is easy-going, kind, and caring. If I happen to return to Bologna, I already know where to go back!

I stayed here for only one night but I must say that I felt very good. The girl who welcomed me was very friendly and even offered me a choice of vegan breakfast, which I appreciate a lot since it almost never happens. I also found it very convenient in terms of location, close to the station and about 20 minutes from the various museums.

Nice room, well equipped with a small kitchen (microwave, kettle, refrigerator, coffee machine), clean, 5 minutes from the station, 20 minutes from Piazza Maggiore. The owner was very kind and welcoming, I recommend!

The structure has a modest appearance, a bit dated, but overall it offers all the required comforts. The cleanliness and the availability of the owner are excellent. The location is great: the station and the center are just a few steps away. The condominium has a night porter on duty. Suggestions for improvement: bed and mattress of the double room and the shower box.

I had the single room. Overall, a very comfortable, convenient, reasonably priced experience. It was like having a small private studio apartment for a week. A couple minor inconveniences: I sometimes needed to stand on a chair to use the coffee maker and I found it hard to avoid getting the bathroom floor wet when using the shower. The breakfast food is all pre-packaged but that is exactly as described in the listing. The location is very convenient to the Centrale train station and about 20-25 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore. I would stay here again.

Apartment very well located, close to the train station and close to the center, spacious and very quiet. The owner was very kind and took the time to explain everything to me even though I arrived 3.5 hours late due to a train strike (22:30 instead of 19:00). For breakfast, choice between tea and coffee, or cereals, etc. I also appreciated the yogurts found in the refrigerator!

Apartment on the 2nd floor with elevator 5 minutes walk from the central station of Bologna. The apartment is in good condition despite being certainly dated as a building. Hallway, kitchen with terrace, bedroom with double bed and single bed, bathroom. All rooms are well maintained and clean. Bedroom with TV, large wardrobe, desk, and bedside tables. Bathroom with bidet, toilet, shower (with curtain), washing machine, and shelving with everything you need for cleaning. Kitchen with fridge (with milk, butter pats, and fruit juices), microwave, coffee/chocolate machine with capsules, induction hob (on request), electric kettle for water, and toaster. Nothing is missing! For breakfast, there are 2/3 types of snacks, single-portion jams, single-portion Nutella, coffee and chocolate capsules, rusks. Complete dishes for all day situations (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Everything is very well organized, even with recycling. Very clean structure. Kind and very helpful owner. We arrived late at night and she waited for us for the keys and explanations.

Lovely little apartment, bright and with a large balcony in the kitchen. Excellent location from Bologna central station and the famous Bologna arcades. The owner, very kind, provided a very varied and abundant breakfast, all sealed in single portions, even the legendary Nutella jars... and if you forget to bring toothpaste... don't worry, you will also find that in the bathroom. I will gladly come back.

Very easy to reach when arriving at the station, close enough to the center to reach it comfortably with a walk under the arcades, but it is also located in a quiet area where at night there is neither traffic nor noise from local venues. Comfortable and welcoming and spacious (it's not a room, but a real apartment), nothing is missing, not even the washing machine if the stay should be extended. There are facilities to do anything (cook, store food, spend time in relaxation - there is also a wide assortment of board games - prepare a snack or a coffee). Crystal clear cleanliness and a wide range of soaps for any need. The price/service ratio is exceptional in my opinion.

Casa Margot is a great choice for those visiting Bologna: close to the station and not far from the center. The apartment is clean and equipped with everything you need and a wide selection of breakfast products, such as milk, coffee pods, butter, jam, etc. The owner is very kind and helpful, she even allowed us to leave our luggage outside the check-in time. I would say everything is perfect.
