Podere Sassarello is conveniently located minutes from the well known thermal baths resort Castel San Pietro Terme, where you can indulge in wellbeing and relaxation; it’s only a few kilometres from the local main routes Via Emilia and A14 motorway. Bologna and Imola, home of the Italian Grand Prix F1 circuit, can be reached in less than 20 minutes; Florence, Ferrara, Modena and Ravenna in about an hour. Nearby are also the spa centre “Villaggio della Salute Piu’”, the 18 hole “Le Fonti” golf course, and many sports centres with swimming pools and tennis courts. Foodies and wine lovers are spoilt for choice: from the Enoteca Regionale dell”Emilia Romagna in the medieval castle at Dozza to the many small food and wine producers of the local Colli Imolesi wine region. All in all, just the ideal place for those travelling for both work or leisure, looking for somewhere away from the bustle of city life.

My name is Tersilla Gardenghi and I love art.
I began my career as an illustrator right after completing the Anatomical Drawing program at the University of Bologna.
In my B&B, you will find artworks, drawings, and sculptures created by my family. The shelves and walls are filled with colors, jars, and all the materials for restoration and decoration.
For several years, I have left the profession of illustrator to dedicate myself full-time to teaching techniques of ancient arts, airbrushing, and gilding. I offer courses on these subjects and all my students can stay at my B&B.
Of course, all guests are welcome and courtesy and availability are the foundation of this work.

Saying that we had an excellent stay is an understatement. Silla's hospitality, skill, and friendliness are unique. The location is fantastic on the hills outside Imola. Absolute tranquility. The breakfasts with the cakes and the homemade jams made from the garden's produce were extraordinarily delicious. I thank Silla, who treated us like family and also showed us all the work she does in her artist's studio, teaching her ancient decorating techniques to people who want to learn. We will see each other very soon.

Excellent, the lady is extremely helpful. The structure is very well maintained, with vintage furniture pieces and attention to detail. Good breakfast with the added bonus of homemade sweets.

We stayed at this delightful B&B for its proximity to Bologna (about half an hour by car), but we still enjoyed the hospitality of Mrs. Silla, the familiar atmosphere of a house full of life and history, a splendid panorama both during the day and at night, the lights of the plain and those of the starry sky. Clean air and absence of chemical or electromagnetic pollution for those who are sensitive or intolerant to them.
