Restaurant
Also known as "Da Mauro" Restaurant, this place tells a story rich in tradition. In the past, it was a trattoria that offered a variety of dishes and was a point of reference for the local residents and passing travelers.
The credit and determination to give this ancient structure a new style and concept belong to its owner, Giovanni, better known as Mauro. In 1981, he and his family purchased this property and embarked on a journey that made this establishment one of the most appreciated in the province. After a complete restoration, the restaurant opened its doors in 1983. The venue features two spacious dining rooms, a beautiful terrace with a veranda overlooking the hill, and, of course, a well-equipped kitchen where Innocenta, Mauro's wife, along with their son Michele and daughter-in-law Mara, dedicate themselves to the preparation of artisan delicacies and traditional dishes from Piacenza.
Among the specialties offered, you can delight your palate with the famous "tortelli a due code" filled with ricotta and spinach, wild boar with polenta during the season, oven-baked stuffed veal tip, and, to end on a high note, semifreddo with nougat or almond tart. Additionally, there will be dishes featuring fresh mushrooms to satisfy your taste.

What guests say
Reviews consistently mention the friendly and helpful hosts, the high cleanliness standards, and the comfort of the spacious, quiet rooms with renovated bathrooms. The property is located in a peaceful countryside setting, making it ideal both for relaxing and for exploring nearby castles and historic sites. Many guests also enjoy the restaurant across the street, managed by the same owners, which is known for its quality local cuisine. Despite the lack of air conditioning, the rooms remain naturally cool. Some guests note possible early morning noise from the bar below. Overall, the property is highly recommended for a relaxing stay in an authentic local environment.
