Description
The building is set in a typical Modenese rural residence, recognizable for its enchanting rooms featuring vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. A thoughtful renovation has enhanced the authentic character of the house, transforming it into a comfortable and well-maintained environment, ideal for both business trips and relaxing getaways. The accommodations include two double rooms (or with twin beds), one single room, and one quadruple room suitable for families, all equipped with private bathrooms. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a TV, hairdryer, safe, free Wi-Fi, and reserved internal parking; air conditioning is available in the family room.
The B&B is situated within the Montanari Loris farm, known for its famous Vignola cherries. From May to July, guests can purchase cherries and sweet cherries directly, with numerous varieties available, including prized local cultivars like the Moretta di Vignola and Durone Nero Secondo, as well as thoughtfully prepared gift packages.
The location is strategic: Vignola and nearby towns such as Castelvetro, Marano, Savignano, and Castelnuovo Rangone are just a few minutes away. Modena is approximately a 20-minute drive, and with the new foothill road, access to the province of Bologna is also convenient. For cycling enthusiasts, the Modena–Vignola bike path is about 500 meters away, making it an ideal spot for leisurely routes through the countryside and hills.
The name L’Arseni 1921 carries a family legacy: “Arseni” is the dialect nickname linked to the great-grandfather Arsenio, a well-known figure in the area, reflecting a deep connection to the house and the land. This homage to roots and memory is felt in every detail, accompanied by genuine and warm hospitality that truly makes guests feel at home.

Hey from Deborah
“Arseni” is, in fact, the family’s dialect nickname, inherited from her great-grandfather Arsenio, a well-known figure in the area. Deborah aimed to pay tribute to that story and the sacrifices of those who, through hard work and determination, managed to bring this property back into the family’s hands. As a result, guests arriving at the B&B immediately sense a genuine atmosphere, where tradition and comfort coexist harmoniously, and feeling truly welcomed becomes a natural experience.
Conditions
Area countryside
Vignola is a surprising destination: famous for its cherries, it is also a small treasure of culture. Its castle dominates the landscape with impressive charm, while walking through the town, one encounters sites that tell centuries of history, such as the Romanesque Pieve, Palazzo Contrari-Boncompagni (Palazzo Barozzi), the Galvani Tower with its hanging garden, the Civic Museum, and the captivating Santa Maria Rotonda, a church notable for its color and shape. The historic center is intimate and pleasant, perfect for leisurely exploration among views, shops, and delightful stops.
Surrounding it is a region rich in routes: Spilamberto, Castelvetro, Marano, Savignano, and Castelnuovo Rangone are easily accessible and offer different atmospheres, featuring squares, hills, wineries, and local cuisine that delivers great satisfaction. It’s an area that invites unhurried exploration, especially in the beautiful season when the countryside bursts with colors and fragrances.
The location is also very convenient for business travelers or those looking to venture toward more well-known destinations: in just a few minutes, one can reach Maranello, home of Ferrari, and the Sassuolo district. Modena is about a 20-minute drive away, making it an excellent choice for a day filled with art, porticos, and culinary traditions. Additionally, thanks to the new foothill road, it’s easy to reach Bazzano and the province of Bologna.
For outdoor enthusiasts, there is an important added value: a short distance away is the cycle path connecting Modena and Vignola, ideal for bike excursions through rural landscapes, with small stops in villages and changing panoramas at every turn. This territory manages to be both relaxing and dynamic, perfect for those seeking nature, authenticity, and the freedom to reach some of the most interesting destinations in Emilia-Romagna in just a few minutes.
