“Alla Curva Del Fiume”, placed close to the banks of the River Taro, in the tranquillity of Parma countryside, offers a warm and friendly welcome in a confortable and elegant environment.
The guests’ wing, which is completely independent, includes three bedrooms pleasantly furnished, each with a private bathroom.
The house has a vast garden and stands in a quiet and peaceful agricultural area. An abundant breakfast will be served to the guests, including not only the classic baked products, but also fruit in season, home-made sweets and jams.
“Alla Curva Del Fiume” is 15 minutes from Parma Fairs and “G. Verdi” Airport and 25 minutes to the town centre, not far from A1 (Milano – Bologna) and A15 (Parma – La Spezia) motorway exits.
A bus stop connecting San Secondo to Parma is 200 metres from the B&B.

SIGHTSEEING
The B&B “Alla Curva Del Fiume” is 400 meters from the entry of the cycle path Ciclotaro, which stretches as far as the River Po running along the river bank, with a fantastic view on the river banks and the surrounding countryside.
The village of San Secondo is 1 km far, with its Rocca dei Rossi and its old town centre animated by several festivals and cultural activities all the year round. One of the most typical events is the traditional “Palio delle Contrade”, which takes place the first week of June with the passing of the historical procession and the challenge among knights.
“Alla Curva Del Fiume” represents the ideal starting point for a tour in search of the artistic and gastronomic treasures of Parma’s province. From here you can reach in a short time the castles of Parma’s plain: a part form the Rocca dei Rossi in San Secondo, you can also visit the Rocca San Vitale in Fontanellato, the Rocca Meli Lupi in Soragna, the Palazzo Ducale in Colorno and the Rocca of Roccabianca.
Roncole Verdi, Busseto and Sant’Agata, the villages where Giuseppe verdi was born and lived, are 10 km far from the B&B.
In several restaurants on this area you can enter the heart of the best Emilian gastronomic tradition and savour many typical local products, such spalla cotta, culatello, spalla cruda and the other products deriving from pork, and the inevitable Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, famous all around the world.

The "Alla Curva del Fiume" B&B is located on the cycle path known as ciclo-Taro. By following this path you can ride your bike to the Great River or to Parma where you can visit many monuments such as the Duomo, the Battistero, the Palazzo della Pilotta with the Camera di San Paolo and the Farnese Theater, the Regio Theater, and more.
Staying in the area, there are several castles to explore, such as Rocca dei Rossi in San Secondo Parmense, Rocca Sanvitale in Fontanellato, and Rocca Meli-Lupi in Soragna. You can also visit the Reggia di Colorno and the rocca di Roccabianca.
There are numerous food museums and agricultural museums to visit, and you can also admire the places that were dear to Maestro Giuseppe Verdi and the famous Giovannino Guareschi.

I stayed for 2 nights at the Bed and Breakfast "Alla Curva del Fiume". Mrs. Mara who manages it, is an impeccable host, very kind and helpful, makes you feel at home. Rich and abundant breakfast and homemade cakes with her jams, something fabulous. All very positive. I will definitely come back, highly recommended!

A pleasant surprise, Mrs. Mara lovely, helpful, attentive and professional. The fridge they made available was spot on. I found it lovely to fall asleep listening to the gentle rain falling on the zinc roof. Sufficient breakfast. Perfect parking, although outdoors. Would definitely come back.

I stayed for one night with my husband and 17-year-old daughter at the B&B Alla Curva del Fiume, a well-kept country farmhouse 1 km from San Secondo Parmense, a strategic location to visit cultural, landscape and gastronomic places of interest. The room is very clean with simple but comfortable furniture. Perhaps the dimensions of the sleeping area are a bit small for 3 adults. The bathroom, on the other hand, is large and complete with excellent linen and a small shower set. Breakfast is served at a agreed time in a common area equally clean and well set up. However, it disappointed expectations because there is no choice of savory products, only sweet products are offered. Good the 2 homemade cakes and their production jam, for the rest supermarket products. The landlady is kind and available to give advice on places and restaurants to visit. The evaluation is affected by the breakfast... A real shame because the B&B is located in the renowned Food Valley, homeland of Parma ham, Culatello, Parmigiano and derivatives and above all because if you do not like sweet products you do not eat anything.

What a nice surprise! The countryside just a stone's throw from the city, a very quiet place surrounded by meadows and vineyards. The owner is very kind and attentive to your requests. Absolute cleanliness. Only one regret: the establishment is already fully booked on the dates of my next trip to Italy.

We stayed at this B&B immersed in the silence and greenery of the Romagna countryside. The rooms are very clean, as well as the common areas. The owner, Mrs. Mara, generous with advice, friendly and kind, prepared us an excellent and abundant breakfast and the cake is truly homemade! We highly recommend it.

Mrs. Mara is the cornerstone of this B&B nestled in the countryside. In addition to the kind welcome, she is the creator of truly delicious breakfasts. The cakes and fantastic jams are of her own production. Moreover, she is a valuable source (especially updated) for visits around the area and dining places. Extremely helpful also in solving small problems (thanks for the super glue!). The property is surrounded by the countryside and silence, yet the main road is just a few meters away, and the central location allows for various excursions in all directions. It seems to be an excellent solution even for those arriving by bike, as it is close to the cycle path. The room assigned to me was really large with a comfortable double bed and a very large bathroom. I rested very well. The gem is a small balcony from which to enjoy the surrounding countryside upon waking up. Impeccable cleanliness. The value for money is really excellent. It's a shame not to have been able to stay longer.

I would highly recommend this property for various reasons: an excellent value for money, the hospitality and friendliness of Mrs. Mara who makes guests feel like old friends, the cleanliness of the rooms, the quiet and green surroundings, and an unforgettable, refined breakfast that would cheer up anyone.

The accommodation in a quiet area (along a side street of a connecting avenue) is comfortable, functional and very clean. Optimal parking at the facility. Beautiful and spacious double room. Very comfortable bathroom. The Wi-Fi works perfectly. The owner, Mrs. Mara, is very kind, helpful and very affectionate. For breakfast, she made sure we had everything we needed and more. In the middle of the countryside but very convenient to visit Parma and its surroundings. Very close restaurants with excellent food that the landlady recommended to us. The lady also recommended places to visit that we did not know. Highly recommend. The only downside, the rooms being in a house are poorly soundproofed and if a noisy guest happens, it can be annoying... just bring ear plugs and it's quickly solved. Thank you.

Non c'è da stupirsi se la mia votazione è così alta in ogni punto di questo breve questionario, ma il luogo e così incantevole che avrei voluto aggiungere anche un altro 10 per l'accoglienza e la cortesia della Signora Mara al nostro arrivo in questa che, sin dal primo momento vi fa sentire come se foste a casa vostra. Sono ormai da quattro anni che per motivi eno-gastronomici mi reco da queste parti e ormai non posso più fare a meno della "suite" di questo Bed & Breakfast. Molti albergatori che ostentano le loro obsolete 4 stelle dovrebbero passare più tempo ad osservare, e se il caso anche copiare, le strutture come "Alla Curva del Fiume". È la quarta volta in quattro anni che vengo in questo luogo incantevole, caldo e familiare. Mi auguro di poterci ritornare per altre 40 volte. Complimenti.

Il B&B è sito ai margini del paese, che lo rende tranquillo, comodo per raggiungere l'autostrada.
La struttura è molto ben tenuta e confortevole.
La signora Mara è stata gentilissima, sempre disponibile a scambiare due chiacchiere e a dare informazioni sul luogo e dintorni, e la colazione era sempre molto fornita e abbondante.

Ottima accoglienza da parte della padrona di casa. Stanza molto accogliente e, per noi che eravamo in 5, direi anche parecchio spaziosa.
Bellissima la posizione a due passi dal paese, a 20 minuti da Parma ma in mezzo alla natura. E che dire della colazione: ottima e abbondante, torte appena sfornate e croissant golosissimi.
Sicuramente torneremo. Per il momento abbiamo già fatto pubblicità ai nostri amici.

Il luogo in cui sorge la struttura è bellissimo, molto vicino alla strada provinciale, ma immerso in una tranquillità assoluta, circondato da campi coltivati in cui abbiamo fatto piacevoli passeggiate.
Mi ha colpito molto il profumo di spezie che si mischiava con quello di frutta e verdura appena colti, sembrava di essere in un altro mondo.
La Signora è fantastica, ospitale al massimo e le colazioni con cui vizia gli ospiti sono davvero preparate come se si fosse della famiglia.
Spero piuttosto che i suoi bellissimi gatti siano sopravvissuti agli inseguimenti del nostro nano da giardino.
Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

Siamo stati solo una notte a Pasqua ma è stato sufficiente per apprezzare la grande disponibilità della signora Mara gestore di questo bello, spazioso e accogliente B&B. Io, mio marito e il nostro bimbo di due anni siamo stati esauditi in ogni nostro bisogno, pure il coniglio di cioccolato in regalo al piccolo; grande gentilezza. Abbiamo davvero apprezzato tutto. Mia moglie ed io siamo stati ospiti della Signora Mara a fine novembre 2015. Posso dire con certezza che uno dei migliori B&B dove abbiamo alloggiato. La posizione è ottima, la colazione è abbondante, la camera spaziosa e pulitissima, così anche il bagno che era anche molto grande. Una speciale nota di merito va alla simpatica e gentilissima Signora Mara che ci ha dato delle informazioni dettagliate e ci ha permesso di godere del meglio che si poteva visitare in quella zona, ristoranti compresi. Abbiamo trascorso tre giorni bellissimi.
Se torneremo in quella zona non mancheremo di ritornare in questo ottimo B&B.
Consigliatissimo.

Padrona di casa gentile, disponibile e simpatica.
Posizione del B&B perfetta per fare il giro dei castelli tra Parma e Piacenza, stanza pulitissima, in campagna, quindi pace e silenzio a volontà.
Colazione abbondante con torte fatte in casa, sono a dieta, ma non ho resistito.
Siamo stati benissimo e speriamo di tornare per completare il giro.

Come detto alla signora Mara, davvero non avremmo potuto stare meglio. Il B&B è facilmente raggiungibile grazie al navigatore e alle indicazioni lungo la strada. Si presenta come un casale perfettamente ristrutturato, circondato da un giardino che è una delizia per gli occhi tanti sono i colori che lo compongono. La proprietaria ci accoglie calorosamente quando ancora non siamo scesi dalla macchina e ci accompagna nella nostra stanza. All'interno tutto ci lascia positivamente colpiti: gli arredi, la pulizia, il profumo di buono. La camera conferma l'impressione iniziale: non avremmo potuto chiedere di meglio: pulizia estrema, arredamento curato, asciugamani in abbondanza. La colazione, ulteriore aspetto positivo: ottime torte e marmellate fatte in casa, caffè preparato al momento, succhi di frutta, brioche fresche, e altro ancora. Da provare, senza dubbio alcuno, per scoprire le bellezze che caratterizzano la zona.
