Description

L 'Antico Vinaio is a classic family run B&B located in a large house built in thè 20s by my great-grandfather; after having completely restructured it, trying to keep the original imprint as much as possible, in 2003 I decided to open the business on the wave of wonderful experiences lived in the Anglo-Saxon B & Bs.

One of the first guests who slept here defined the house and its surroundings as an "oasis in the city":
in fact, the road of the B&B is very quiet and the house is surrounded by the green of the garden that laps the stream Savena with its dense vegetation, but just return to the main street, the historic Via Emilia, to "reconnect" with the city and the its main communication routes.

The B&B has:
- a double room with a private bathroom;
- a single room with a private bathroom; (mattress 90x200)
- a suite consisting of: a double room (mattresses 90x200), a single room with a queen bed and a bathroom.

All rooms have TV, air conditioning and are furnished with period furniture.

Breakfast is rich and varied; the homemade cake never fails! On request savory breakfast and breakfast for celiacs. In summer breakfast is served on the terrace.

My wife and I are always present and available and try to satisfy, as far as we can, the needs of our guests
Guests also have private parking and a wifi connection; there are no time problems because the house keys are given. Tourist material is available in Italian, English, French, German and Spanish.

All rooms are non-smoking and pets are not allowed.

The suite can accommodate people with walking difficulties because the room and bathroom spaces are in line with wheelchairs; however, there are seven steps from the garden at the entrance to the house.

Breakfast

The breakfast we offer at Antico Vinaio is based on homemade cakes, biscuits, juices, jams, yogurt, butter, toast, fruit and snacks. On request meats, cheeses and hard-boiled eggs. There is no shortage of coffee, barley coffee, herbal teas, breakfast and green tea, milk and cappuccino. Always on request, breakfast for celiacs.

Welcome to this presentation page.

Already as a young man, while I was attending the University and at the same time I was playing rugby pitches all over Italy, I always cultivated the idea of ??dedicating a large part of my big house to hospitality, in September 2003, after a careful restructuring I opened the B&B Antico Vinaio.

The reasons for why I made this choice are varied but all of them are the wonderful experiences of being a traveler in B & Bs in Great Britain: I understood what it means to open your home to guests and the added value you can receive in terms of knowledge and mutual cultural exchanges.

After so many years of activity, this inspiration is still very strong and I am proud to carry on, with so many difficulties, this philosophy that allows me to dedicate myself with attention and pleasure to the needs of my guests. In all this, my wife Elisa helps me (responsible for the "cakes department" in the B & B) since my passion for rugby is stronger than ever and leads me to absent myself to train my under 14 guys.

The "professional" training in the sector was given to me by the "Turisti per Casa" Association (which is unfortunately no longer active); founded in 1999, it was the first to talk about B&B in Emilia Romagna and contributed to the drafting of the first regional law thanks to the experience gained by the founding members during a seven hundred hours course organized by the European community. Over the years I have held various positions within the association taking advantage of the issues and regulations that regulate the world of receptivity.

The route of the B & B Antico Vinaio is the first of the country arriving from Bologna along the historic Via Emilia. The whole area is very green thanks to the numerous parks and also thanks to the proximity of the hills where there is the "regional park of gypsum bolognesi and the badlands and the Abbadessa" with its many trails suitable for all types of trekking and its famous caves that can be visited thanks to the association of the territory. On the hills it is easy to find excellent restaurants that are not affected by the tourist flow of Bologna. Getting to Bologna is really easy: bus No. 19 is one of the most frequent lines and starts at 5. 30 and ends at 01. 00 and takes to Piazza Maggiore in 20 minutes (the stop is 100 meters from the B & B). The connections to the central station are also convenient with bus No. 101 or the regional train. The B & B is however very close to restaurants and pizzerias that are numerous in the center of the town.

A very nice room (although not very large, but totally adequate), with an attached bathroom. The hosts are charming and welcoming, they live upstairs and offered to sort out any problems, would there have been any. The car can be parked safely in the courtyard. There is a trolley bus going into Bologna about three minutes' walk away, so that one can have a night out without any worries.

I adored its retro atmosphere with its antique furniture, it reminded me of my grandmother's house. Clean, the lady prepared a delicious chocolate cake for breakfast. A bit far from the center but with buses 15 and 19 in 20 minutes you are at the station and with 25 you are in the city center. Recommended for those like me who come to visit Bologna. Very quiet area.

Great stay, I had a great time. The manager is very kind and friendly and the property is convenient for the proximity of the bus, which takes you quickly to the center of Bologna and to the station. We stayed just one night, my family and I. We were welcomed by Nicola who made us feel at home, very helpful and kind. Slept well, clean rooms and very abundant breakfast, the manager was available to accommodate every request. Worth trying.

Truly a pleasant discovery. The B&B Antico Vinaio is easy to reach, welcoming, well-organized, and clean. The hosts are very kind and helpful. Mrs. Elisa's cake is excellent. Perhaps the only flaw is the lack of wifi, but it doesn't detract from the high quality of the structure. And frankly, one can do without it. I will definitely come back.

I had a great time, Manager Nicola is truly a kind and helpful person. The family atmosphere is exactly what you expect in a bed and breakfast. The outdoor spaces are well-kept and pleasant.

The B&B Antico Vinaio by Nicola is a warm and welcoming place. Excellent and abundant breakfast and the rooms are very clean. The center of Bologna can be reached in a few minutes thanks to the bus that practically passes under the structure. It's an experience I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone. Thank you for the lovely moments you made us spend.

The B&B is located in a beautiful ancient building, restored with taste and respect for the original style; surrounded by the greenery of the large garden, which reaches the Savena river, it is a true oasis of tranquility and harmony. Five minutes away there is a bus stop that takes you to the city center and the train station. The interior is furnished with great taste and sensitivity, no detail is overlooked: the lit candles for breakfast, the chestnuts scattered on the beautiful bar counter, the glass stands, the vintage porcelain cups. The antique wardrobes are beautiful, the scent of linen sheets is welcoming, the kettle in the room for herbal teas is fantastic, and the breakfasts are delicious and abundant. The environment is pleasant and welcoming, very family-like and almost homely; the refined details add a sober and pure elegance to the atmosphere, like that of genuinely beautiful things. The owner Nicola is a delightful person, always smiling and kind, amiable and cordial, helpful and patient, even in case of unforeseen events.
