In the heart of the lush countryside, just two kilometers from the center of Bobbio, you will find the Antico Casale di Bobbio Bed & Breakfast located in the charming village of Piancasale. This is the perfect spot to kick off your vacation or enjoy a brief escape from city life.
Our residence is an ancient border house dating back to the 1700s, which once served as a connection point between the two Malaspina castles. It has now been transformed into a tastefully decorated bed & breakfast, featuring warm and inviting tones to ensure our guests have an elegant and relaxing stay.
Our location is close to the beautiful beaches along the Trebbia River, the starting point for numerous hiking trails, and the lovely waterfalls of Carlone and Perino, all set in nature and less than two hours from major northern Italian cities such as Milan, Turin, and Genoa, and three hours from Venice and Florence.

We stayed three nights at Antico Casale Bobbio and the experience was excellent. From the first phone contact, the owner Marina proved to be efficient, kind and very helpful. Before our arrival she sent us a carefully curated list of local restaurants with reviews and price ranges. Also, due to a work-related issue we arrived well past the agreed time: Marina was very flexible and even called a nearby pizzeria herself to book us a table, allowing us to dine with a wonderful view of Bobbio and the Ponte Gobbo, accompanied by the sound of the Trebbia river. The apartment is perfect, tastefully furnished, clean and equipped with everything needed (complete linens and courtesy kit). A great plus is its orientation: it is very airy and stays cool. A short walk from the accommodation there is a garden with a swimming pool, ideal for relaxing. The property is immersed in nature, extremely quiet and frequented by guests who respect the peace. The ideal stay for those seeking rest and truly attentive, human and empathetic hospitality. We will definitely return!

At Antico Casale the welcome was perfect! The room was clean and tidy in a quiet area surrounded by nature, a few minutes from Bobbio. The breakfast prepared by Marina was pleasant, brightened by the friendly presence of Gianluca. The pool surrounded by greenery... a must! We will definitely return.

The Antico Casale pleased us very much: the property is clean and well cared for, the pool is a real plus and is immersed in silence. The hosts, Marina and Gianluca, are truly kind and friendly. The location is strategic: from Piancasale you can reach Bobbio and the beaches on the Trebbia in 5 minutes, while with a few more km you can visit other villages such as Travo and Brugnello. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back.
