Description

Alloggio Cavour has 6 bright rooms all with private bathroom (supplied with shampoo, soap and hairdryer); TV and free WiFi.

Daily cleaning room, linen change is every 3 days of stay. When you arrive you’ll be hand over the keys of the room and of the main entrance so you can go in and out easily and freely.

Since we prefer to offer low prices, you can chose to have your breakfast at in bars and pastry shops adjacent (we have also agreements for discounts with some of them). We will be at your disposal for information and advice on our city, curiosity and suggestions about good wine and good food, to suit all budgets and needs!

Alloggio Cavour’s central location is convenint either if you arrive by train, by car, by bike or by bus:
train: 5 minutes’ walk from the Train station, 1 minute away from city bus stop;
car: close to the location there are several free parking places or streets where you can leave your care safely and without any cost;
bike: Alloggio Cavour has an internal yard, accessible with key, where you can park your motorbike or scooter;
bus 5 minutes’ walk from the central bus station.

Alloggio Cavour is a great solution also for long period and/or repeated stays: its location and the accessibility make it the ideal place to stay at. Moreover it is right in front of the principal city bus stops and only few minutes by car from the Hospital and the exhibition center.
Instead if you’re tourists, from our rooms the view in right on the top of the wonderful Ferrara’s roofs and you’ll be able to see how easy and fast you can get to the historical center which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Siamo consapevoli che Alloggio Cavour è una struttura datata, ma per questo motivo i prezzi sono molto contenuti rispetto altre realtà, soprattutto nel periodo in cui voi avete soggiornato, c'è stata una grossa fiera e diversi test d'ingresso unitamente a lauree. Di fronte abbiamo un'altra struttura che si chiama ALLOGGIO I GRIFONI, di recente ristrutturazione e più moderna ovviamente ad altri costi. Cordiali saluti, Milena

Room on the fifth floor of a building ten minutes walking distance from the Ferrara train station, with all the basic things for an overnight stay: comfortable bed, wardrobe, table, small bathroom with ensuite shower. There are also other rooms in the apartment so you can hear when there are other guests, but in general, it is all very quiet. For check-in, you call the manager who either accompanies you or leaves a code to enter and the keys in an envelope, always very available to answer questions on WhatsApp. Good quality-price ratio.

Fortunately, the accommodation is not too expensive because it is not worth more. The photos are beautiful but do not reflect reality. Room with very thin walls (you can hear all conversations even at a normal speaking voice, at 3 am this wakes you up well), no double glazing, plastic paper not thrown away present on the bed upon our arrival, bathroom not finished although still functional, toilet seat detached. Strange layout of the entire accommodation: raised floors everywhere and slopes for the entrance to the rooms. When we returned in the evening, we found the door of the accommodation, which leads to all the rooms, wide open on the stairs. And this is not a B&B since breakfast is not included. Just a 10% discount at the nearby bar. For us, this accommodation does not meet the criteria for B&Bs. The only advantage is its geographical location. Next time, we would prefer to pay a little more.

The stay, although short, was perfect: from the welcome to the availability, from the location of the property, to the general cleanliness and the comfort of the room. Plus: hyper-soundproof windows that guarantee optimal sound insulation from the public street and the Courtyard (during the weekends particularly 'lively'!). Highly recommended.

I stayed one night for a training weekend, central structure and convenient to services. Once parked, you can move around on foot, very good value for money. Very quick and practical check-in (excellent organization), bright rooms with a particularly large and, above all, windowed bathroom. TV and wifi, simple, clean, spacious, and well-kept rooms. I took advantage of a 10% discount for breakfast at the two affiliated bars, particularly well-stocked even for a quick lunch. I really liked this guesthouse, it will be my reference point for future training sessions in Ferrara!

Also fun because it feels like playing a treasure hunt to access the Alloggio Cavour. The property is located in a great location, within the vicinity you can find everything: bakery, pharmacy, bar, restaurant, hairdresser, banks. I highly recommend staying at this property.

Convenient structure as it is close to the center and at a good price. Our room was a bit tight for three people but we stayed only one night so it was fine and the rate was also good. The bathroom is run down, complete with a shower curtain that would need a good renovation. Finally, the windows do not have double glazing, and even though it is on the 5th floor, all the noises from the busy Cavour avenue could be heard.

The room at Alloggio Cavour is simple, spartan but equipped with everything, including a hairdryer and air conditioning (only the fridge is in the corridor). Perfect for a few days of visit. It is on the 5th floor with an elevator and self-check-in: through a link that will be sent to you, the door will open and then with a code you can access the apartment (it may seem cumbersome but in the end it is simple and practical). You get a 10% discount at the bar in front if you mention that you are staying at Cavour. It is located 10 minutes from the station and 10 minutes from the Castle/center. Convenient for those arriving by public transport. It is suitable for those who want a quiet and modest place without spending large sums of money.

Host very nice and always willing to explain and to help. The room is a little bit small but it's reasonable considering it's pretty cheap. The only problem I had was with the shower water pressure (very low) but beside that it was a great deal. Thank you Marcella, I'll certainly rent a room again in the future.

For study, I have used Alloggio Cavour several times between October and November, always finding helpful staff and cozy rooms. Very convenient to the city center, a bit further from Mammuth, but with the bus stop right in front of the door for the station and the university.

I stayed at Alloggio Cavour for one night due to a university exam. The lady at the reception was very kind. The location is strategic, between the city center and the train station, very convenient. The value for money is great. The room was clean. I would suggest installing shutters or a blackout curtain to avoid light in the early morning hours. It is also important to provide paper cups at the entrance. In a common area, there is a small kettle for tea, coffee, or herbal tea, but there are no cups, making it a bit difficult to use. Overall, a good choice if you are passing through.

Guest house 5 minutes from the station and 30 minutes from the center on foot, in a quiet area. Served by a small but working elevator. The room is small but cozy and equipped with a private bathroom. The property is managed by friendly and helpful people, whom unfortunately (at least this time) I did not have the opportunity to meet in person.

Angela and I treated ourselves to a couple of days in Ferrara. The Alloggio Cavour is strategically positioned to reach most of the places worth visiting in the city center. The landlady was super friendly, pointing out interesting and lovely places to discover in such a short time. Highly recommended especially for those looking for quick and not too expensive accommodations.

Simple, comfortable, clean, essential, practical. Like being at home 400 km away from home. It has everything you need. Easy to reach. Very close to the city center and monuments. Very affordable price. Prompt and efficient service. Maximum availability, friendliness, and hospitality. For breakfasts and meals, apart from the 'Nonno Umberto' Bar downstairs (of high quality at very reasonable prices), you can reach the city center with a wide range of options in a 5-minute walk. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended for families, but also in general due to the excellent quality/price ratio.

The bed and breakfast is located in a central position between the station and the town center. I was welcomed by Mrs. Sara and she was quite polite and helpful towards me. The only downside is that smoking is not allowed as you have to go downstairs to the entrance.

I was disappointed by the lack of resolution to a practical issue; before booking for the overnight stay, I made sure to inquire about the availability of a suitable parking to avoid having to search for one, given the difficulty of parking in the center of Ferrara. However, upon returning from dinner, I found the garage occupied by another guest's car. Upon contacting the B&B staff, I was told they were sorry about the situation but I could try to find external parking. I would like to point out that the garage has enough space for only one car if you don't want to depend on who parks after.

Decent structure, convenient location but, negated by excessive noise from the streets below, poorly soundproofed and insufficient air conditioning. Having booked for three nights, I thought that the room cleaning would be for the entire overnight stay not just for one night as it happened.

We had a great time. Very close to the city center, very helpful manager, clean and tidy rooms. Despite the lack of breakfast, you get a discount at the bar and restaurant below. I definitely recommend.

We stayed at Alloggio Cavour for a weekend. We thought it was a Bed and Breakfast, but it turned out to be a guest house. The days we spent in the city were quite cold, and we found ourselves in a room where the double bed was under a huge window from which draughts and humidity came in. The heating was never turned on at any time of the day or night, despite the manager claiming otherwise via message. He advised us to use the electric heater (which provided no heat) to warm up. Furthermore, the bathroom kept flooding after every shower, and the "affiliated" bar with which they have an agreement was not only bad, but on Saturday morning they didn't give us any discount, and on Sunday it was closed. Thank you for making us sleep with scarves and all the blankets we could find! I do not recommend it to anyone because of the cold and because for almost 50 euros per night, you can find better.
