Description

The Bed & Breakfast Vicidomini rises proudly in the heart of the historical center of San Marco dei Cavoti (Pietrelcina is 20 Kms away, native country of San Pio) in the Marchesale complex, built in 1674. The buildings have recently been restored, to preserve the charm of their original antiquity and yet also provide all the modern conveniences in a comfortable and relaxing environment. The B&B is located in the center of the antiquity and therefore just stepping outside begins the travel back in time as you explore the quaint pedestrian-only pathways that wind throughout the medieval portion of this charming Italian village. All day long you will hear the chorus of church bells as they compete for your attention.

The panoramic view from each of the elegantly furnished private bedrooms is absolutely breathtaking. Directly below are neighbors working in their gardens and in the distance are small and large farms and vineyards that extend toward Benevento and ultimately Naples. Each room has it’s own completely modern bathroom exquisitely treated with tile floors, and wonderful handmade pottery light fixtures. Great care has been taken in selecting fabrics, furniture, fixtures, tiles, and wonderful wood craftsmanship that supports the antique ambience of these wonderful surroundings.

The careful restoration is replicated by the attention to detail that Franca and Rino provide as your hosts in this wonderfully unique accommodation. Each morning, your ample and thoughtfully presented breakfast will be served in Marchesale’s Noble Chapel, rich in heritage and history.

The B&B Vicidomini is an ideal destination, centrally located, and full of old Italian charm. Take some time to become immersed in the history and enjoy your own rest and relaxation.

Hi, I'm Franca, I manage the Bed and Breakfast Vicidomini for over 15 years.

The idea of opening a B&B was born from the desire to make available to guests my house which is a part of the Marquis Palace built in 1600.

Since I opened my B&B I have had the opportunity to host so many people, with many you form a relationship of friendship and I'm very happy.

We stayed in this wonderful structure for a weekend and were pampered by the very caring Franca, as well as guided by the expert Rino on the visit to the museums of this charming village of San Marco dei Cavoti. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well-equipped; the breakfast was incredibly varied and abundant; the location of the structure allowed us to enjoy characteristic views, as well as the possibility of reaching, just a few steps away, an incredible waterfall. We will definitely return.

We spent the first weekend of March in this charming structure, full of history and anecdotes, and were welcomed by the owner who immediately made us feel at home and part of the family, advising us on places to eat and buy typical products. Clean and comfortable room overlooking the village. Rich breakfast with fresh and delicious products, all carefully curated down to the smallest details. We will return very soon!

Absolutely perfect in every way! Franca and her husband were absolutely amazing. Franca made our lunch and dinner reservations and helped us order a birthday cake. The cake was amazing. Her husband gave a tour of the town. We are so grateful for their kindness. On top of their amazing hospitality, the rooms were amazing! They were beautiful and perfectly clean! There is A/C but you don't need it! The house is perfectly cool. I can not speak more highly of their bed and breakfast and the hospitality! It was so amazing we didn't want to leave.

Our room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious and abundant. The historic former monastery is a beautiful property. We would not hesitate to return to Vicidomini. Thank you, Franca!

The property is beautiful! Franca and her husband Rino are excellent hosts and do everything possible to make sure your stay is perfect! The rooms are very clean and large with great views of the courtyard and countryside. The breakfasts are fresh, menu changes daily and all are delicious. Relaxing in the common areas both inside and outside is very peaceful and magical. This is one of our favorite B&Bs and we will return in the spring to enjoy this peaceful palace. Thank you again Franca and Rino for your great hospitality. We love your place, stay well and see you in the spring.

At the B&B Vicidomini (Structure from the 1600s) we had a great time and it was magnificent! The welcome was very familiar and we immediately felt at ease! The abundant and refined breakfast and homemade cakes were really exquisite! The location and the rooms are wonderful! I would also like to add the general cleanliness in the rooms and the environment, superb! The benches and the terrace, great for relaxing... We were never bored, there are many things to visit, one of them is the waterfall a few meters away and the ancient village! Brilliant!
