Classic Italian style. Perfect experience in Salerno.

We recently stayed at Salerno Antica Bed and Breakfast for three nights during our two-week vacation in Italy. This was our first time in Europe, and we were somewhat nervous about the arrangements. We found some very flattering articles and reviews online about this B&B and knew we had to make contact. From our very first email, Daniele was warm and responsive. His attention to detail and kind, warm personality gave us the comfort we needed to make the booking. It turned out to be the best experience of our entire two-week trip. The room itself was beautiful and exactly as described, but it was so much more. We felt well cared for during our stay. From the exceptional breakfasts served every morning to the information provided about Salerno and the logistics of getting around, Daniele was there every step of the way. While we stayed at other beautiful places in Italy, the service did not compare to what Daniele provided. The downtown location and the ease of taking day trips to the Amalfi Coast made this a perfect choice. It was by far the best value of anywhere we stayed in Italy. We loved the town and its people so much, and we will cherish this memory forever.

Danielle was incredibly helpful, and Danielle's suggestions for restaurants and places to visit were spot on. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the location made it easy to explore Salerno and the Amalfi Coast. The structure is located on a historic street in Salerno, near the seafront and at the foot of the climb to the cathedral. The B&B is on the 3rd floor with an elevator. The manager, Daniele, prepares personalized, abundant, and tasty breakfasts with local products, served in Vietri ceramic cups and plates. The location is tastefully furnished, with antique and valuable furniture and accessories. The background music accompanies the breakfast moment. The room and bathroom are clean and spacious with mozzarella, taralli, and cherry tomatoes as a welcome gift! Comfortable bed, made every morning with a chocolate on the bedside table! Daniele provides useful information for excursions along the coast and restaurants to eat at. The location allows you to reach the station and the two ports, shops, and the cathedral. We recommend this B&B for anyone who wants to spend relaxing vacation days in Salerno, a strategic point to reach the Amalfi Coast, Naples, Pompeii, Paestum.

Contrary to the first impression at the entrance, the apartment surprises with a family and refined atmosphere. The room was very clean with daily cleaning. For breakfast, a lot of importance was given to an individual offer in Italian style. We felt very comfortable in the family environment. We received a lot of information about possible activities and good tips for restaurants.

I wish I would have spent all of my Italy trip in Salerno, and already looking forward to when we can come back. Daniele is sincerely the best host, he went above and beyond to make our stay such a pleasant experience. The room was very clean, location is also great. His breakfasts are amazing and he is such a kind, caring individual with great recommendations on things to do and places to eat and drink. Words alone cannot express how wonderful Daniele and Salerno Antica are - I highly recommend to anyone considering visiting the Amalfi coast area!

Last minute booking for us and Daniele and the Salerno Antica Bed and Breakfast exceeded all of our expectations! Room, bed, shower, custom breakfast, morning juice and coffee. Daniele is very friendly, knowledgeable with the area and local transportation. He made us feel a part of his family while we were in the Amalfi Coast.\n\nWould highly recommend this place to all of our friends!

My 5 night stay at Salerno Antica B&B was fabulous, in great measure due to a perfect host, the owner Daniele. After a few winter weeks in Tuscany, I craved southern Italy’s food, sea, sun and friendliness. This was my first time in Salerno and arrived without plans other than 5 nights in this B&B. The bed is supremely comfortable, room extremely clean, decor is tasteful and modern. Shower pressure is nice, and Daniele makes some of the most wonderful breakfast you can hope for. As an American, I enjoy both sweet and savory breakfast. Daniele prepares a cheese with soft prosciutto omelette accompanied by crunchy crusted crostini with a soft interior of olive oil and chopped ripe tomatoes. Adorable various locally painted ceramic plates fill the table. If you let him know what kind of pastry you prefer, he introduced me to the addictive and divine millefoglie, layers of crunchy crackly pastry rolled around an orange-scented custard with bits of dried orange. Some mornings he offered a tiny cup of buffalo milk yogurt with a curled lemon zest that is so good. Cappuccino is frothy and satisfying. Daniele suggested perfect dinners each night at my request and made reservations for me. Pizza at gli Esposito, the Celentina was great as was the side escarole with olives and capers. Another night, he suggested a fun meal at Le Botte Pazza, and the best meal of my month in Italy so far at Taverna Santa Maria De Domno, pulpo and the sesame-crusted seared tuna were perfection. There are three rooms. For a light sleeper, I suggest the standard room facing the interior. People at a nearby bar can be loud until 12 or 1:00 for the other two rooms. I always travel with Mack’s silicone earplugs, so it was fine. Daniele suggested a day tour to a local farm to learn about Buffalo mozzarella, but the weather didn’t cooperate for it. He personally cares for his guests so much, trying to satisfy not only their room desires and to help make your holiday as wonderful as possible. I highly recommend this B&B and Daniele deserves his perfect review scores.

Daniele runs Salerno Antica with great passion and makes your stay special. The rooms and dining area are clean and nicely decorated. Each breakfast was delicious and included local dishes. He helps you with Salerno area sights, restaurants, etc. Salerno is a clean and beautiful city.

Salerno Antica is a great experience! I cannot say enough how kind and helpful Daniele is. The property is very nice, clean, and comfortable. Daniele is always available through WhatsApp and was a great help in planning our itinerary, navigating the train schedules, and the best way to experience the Amalfi coast. Salerno makes a great home base to see the Amalfi coast, visit Pompei, etc. In addition, Daniele makes an exceptional breakfast and tailors it to your preferences. This property is right in the middle of the city so it is close to many restaurants, shopping, etc. It is about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station or ferry dock, but easily walkable unless you have a lot of luggage. Daniele goes out of his way to make sure you have a great experience and you get a lot more than just a room to rent.

We stayed at Salerno Antica B&B from September 4 to 12, 2024 and had an amazing stay. We picked that B&B based on the great reviews we read and we weren’t disappointed! The host’s (Daniele) hospitality, knowledge of Salerno and the entire Amalfi Coast (I should say the whole Campania region), and attention to detail truly contributed to making our trip memorable. The B&B is extremely well located (walking distance from the train station and 2 harbours) in a pedestrian area filled with restaurants, cafés, gelateria, boutiques, etc.; being able to have all these options a few steps away after spending long days visiting the Coast was a real treat. The room was comfortable and well kept, and the breakfast was varied, copious, nicely presented, and absolutely delicious! If you are looking for a place to stay in Salerno, look no more; Salerno Antica B&B is the answer.

We enjoyed our stay at Salerno Antica very much. The rooms were spacious and clean. Salerno Antica is located in Old Salerno, and is a great location from which to explore Salerno and the Amalfi Coast. Daniele was an excellent host, and was very helpful with suggestions for places to visit. The breakfasts are delicious, with plenty of local produce.

There is one place that stands out above the rest in our travels and that is Salerno Antica B&B. Our amazing host Daniele made our stay outstanding! Even before arriving, he extended himself to help us with the planning of our trip. We now know why he gets so many positive reviews. His B&B was most comfortable and his breakfasts were superb. The location was perfect, getting around was so easy. We loved our experience and you will too.

Daniele is awesome! Daniele greeted us each morning and explained the menu which he had prepared for us. He guided us to great restaurants and towards places of interest. Our room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. All of the attractions we wanted to see were nearby. We brought the train to Salerno and easily walked to the BnB. There is a great pedestrian walkway almost the entire distance. Loads of shopping and restaurants along the way. The port is close too. A great value too! We would love to return and stay with Daniele!

To only score Daniele and Salerno Antica a 10 is a crime! The location was perfect, the breakfast each morning felt like a selection of the best of the area and the service by Daniele was immaculate. Nothing was 'too much' to ask of him and he always had the perfect recommendation. I will be recommending this location to everyone wanting to stay in the area.

It was a delight staying at Salerno Antica. Daniele was an amazing host. He made us feel very welcome and had lots of tips and advice for us. Each morning he helped us sort out an itinerary for the day. The highlight for us was the breakfasts. Superb fresh food. My husband is coeliac and Daniele provided delicious gluten-free food for him. My husband was in heaven. We stayed four nights and could easily have stayed longer. Highly recommended.

The BnB was amazing! Daniele, the host, was great, attentive, prompt, and gave us lots of good information. The breakfast was amazing too with a nod to local cuisine. Room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities needed. Location is very convenient from both the ferry and the train station. We'll definitely stay here again.

I was a little hesitant about staying at a bed & breakfast, which I had never done before (always Airbnb or hotels), especially in a new country. However, from the moment we got to Daniele's we were greeted with kindness and hospitality like I have never experienced. Check-in was flexible, super quick and easy, and we were provided with a delicious treat to hold us over before a late lunch after our train from Rome. The room was well equipped, super modern, and provided the perfect amount of space & privacy for two people. It overlooked a beautiful alley/side street where you could hear joyous noises from the nearby restaurants in the area shortly after the sun went down. The location was super convenient to walk anywhere in Salerno, whether it be the pier to catch a ferry or day-trip boat excursion along the coast, or the many incredible eateries the wonderfully safe & friendly city has to offer. Daniele's breakfasts were absolutely delightful with a wide variety of amazing foods, sure enough to satisfy the pickiest of eaters. And his authentic cappuccinos were some of the best we had all trip. I couldn't have imagined a better way to start an adventurous day on the coast with plenty of fuel in the tank. We were so overjoyed with our experience at Salerno Antica. I have a feeling that the secret will soon be out that you are better off staying in Salerno for a lot cheaper and making easy day trips to other overcrowded towns along the Amalfi Coast via boat than in staying in such towns themselves. No one deserves to reap the benefits of success than Daniele and his efforts to provide such a memorable experience!

Salerno Antica was the perfect Bed & Breakfast for us. It was well located, pleasant and clean. We met with Daniele, our host, the night before we were actually checking in. He greeted us with a “spuntino” with typical Salerno products as he explained to us all that we needed to know for an early check in that he arranged for us. Daniele guided us every step of the way for our 5 day discovery of the Amalfi Coast including which to prioritize, how to get to them, what restaurants to go to, depending on what we were looking to eat. He made sure we didn’t miss out on any local specialties. He was prompt to respond to any questions we had along the way. He truly made our journey wonderful and efficient for the time we had there. Shout out to Ashley from Mywanderlustylife for cueing us in on the fact that Salerno is the best base to choose when exploring the Amalfi Coast from Positano to Vietri sul Mare and everything in between!! And thank to Ashley for sharing her super finds, Salerno Antica and host, Daniele.

Our host was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and made a fabulous breakfast each day! He really took care of us without invading our privacy. His home was arranged perfectly for guests! I can't recommend it enough!!!!

Fantastic B&B in a great location. Lovely bedroom - clean, bright, stylish and modern. Good bathroom and shower. Lovely breakfast served in the beautiful family dining room, something delicious and different every day. Daniele is charming and knowledgeable, friendly and helpful without being intrusive.

The location was beyond our expectations. Well located, in the historical center, the room is spacious enough and well equipped, clean and tidy - and if there is something that doesn't meet your needs, Danielle - the property manager - is careful and willing to help. He offered his support regarding any question we had and any request regarding our holiday. We also had the breakfast included - it was diverse and rich. Due to being located in Salerno, you can rent a car and visit the most wonderful and famous spots nearby. We chose Danielle to be our local guide and with him & his car, we managed to have a whole tour of the most important spots. The transport from the airport to the location and vice versa was also booked with Danielle - our driver was very friendly and prompt. For sure we will come back! Many thanks to Danielle for all the assistance and support in making our holiday special!

We loved staying at Salerno Antica (5 nights in April 2024). The breakfasts are fabulous while the rooms are decorated nicely and very functional, a feat given that the building dates back to a 15th-century monastery. Daniele, the host, is friendly and extremely helpful in providing in-depth recommendations on what to see and do in the area. He’s also available for personal tours. It’s a great location to explore the Amalfi and Cilento Coasts as well as the broader Salerno area. Daniele went above & beyond (kind of like a high-end hotel concierge) getting me clear instructions on how to buy a €70 seven-day pass for the nearby Liberta parking lot and assisting me with a messed up Autostrada toll ticket… thanks again! We look forward to returning.

An outstanding bed and breakfast. Great location in the center of the old town of Salerno, a short walk from the train station. The rooms are modern and clean with all the amenities. Daniele, the owner and host, is fantastic. He will give you great recommendations on restaurants and things to do during your stay. Breakfast is included and outstanding. Daniele also offers private tours for his guests, which I highly recommend. You get a personalized experience and avoid the tourist traps. We will definitely be back.

Great host (Daniele), a great location, and SUCH A GREAT BREAKFAST made by the host! His bed and breakfast is outstanding. It is modern, very clean, the rooms are stylish, an excellent bed, super clean bathroom, it was an all around excellent stay. We stayed as a couple, and absolutely loved the breakfast. Very stylish and very clean room, some rooms have balcony also, and the host prepares a welcome snack for each room when they come to the B&B with mozzarella cheese etc. The cleaning is done very well. And the bathroom is great. For breakfast, it is not usual in Italy to have an omelet with fresh tomatoes and cheese, or any such plate, with coffee and toast and yogurt etc prepared each morning for you. The great host Daniele does it, every morning if you like. Which is great, absolutely. We could not ask for a better one. There are options of salty or sweet (In Italy there are usually sweet things to eat at breakfast), he makes omelette, other egg dishes so well, and toast etc. This B&B is true value, and the location is next to two great wine bars and restaurants, but very calm (no noise at all in rooms, overall the street is calm).

Salerno Antica is perfectly situated in the heart of old Salerno. The B&B is on the 3rd floor of a quaint residential building with an available elevator for those with tired legs after a day of sightseeing. Daniele was available to answer all of our questions and ensure that we were headed in the right direction and on time for the trains and ferries. Each day started at 8:15 with a spectacular breakfast in the B&B's original dining room. Each morning, our host Daniele explained the various courses, served us our cappuccinos, and assisted us with our plans for the day. One morning we had an early ferry departure and Daniele packed a fantastic breakfast for us that was large enough to cover us for lunch. This was our day hiking the Path of Gods, and we sat eating our meal overlooking the ocean along the cliffs approaching Positano. The rooms are clean and bright with modern bathrooms and a small Juliet balcony overlooking the narrow cobblestone streets below. The Amalfi coast was the highlight of our two-week Italian vacation. Our seven nights at Salerno Antica made this a lasting memory. Thanks, Daniele.

We spent 4 wonderful days in Salerno and stayed here at Salerno Antica B&B. We were delighted and loved the place: it was beautifully appointed, the rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable, the dining room was a place to delight in and relax as we had breakfast. The location was also central, in the old part of Salerno, within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, the train station, the buses, and the ferries. What really made the experience special was the hospitality provided by, and the care in our travels from our host and owner of the B&B, Daniele. The breakfasts were thoughtfully prepared, aiming to give us a taste of the Amalfi and Cilento coasts. Daniele loves Italy, loves Salerno, and wanted us to experience it at its best - he gave recommendations for places to eat, where to have day trips, and even provided a personalized day trip himself. We cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Daniele for a really wonderful time in Salerno. Memories forever.

Staying at this bed and breakfast was one of the highlights of our visit to the Amalfi Coast because of the host/owner Daniele. He is so welcoming, kind, accommodating, charming, and helpful. And in addition, he is a great cook. The breakfasts were delicious and presented beautifully. The bed and breakfast is in a great location, in the city center, very close to the port as well as to the train station. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was very modern and had a large shower. We are so happy we stayed at this bed and breakfast. We highly recommend staying at Salerno Antica.

If you are making the Amalfi coast a stop on your trip to Italy, Salerno is the place to stay. It’s not full of tourists like Amalfi or Positano and gives you more of an authentic feel! You can take a train there and also visit other locations via train or Ferry from Salerno. The BnB itself is absolutely beautiful. The room is immaculate and Daniele the host makes you feel very welcome. They offer breakfast daily, and let me just say this is not something you want to miss. They take consideration of any dietary restrictions you may have and provide such a delicious savory and/or sweet breakfast. Highly recommend staying here. You will not regret it!

A perfect place to base camp in Salerno to catch ferries to Amalfi, trains to Pompeii, and great food in between. Daniele’s hospitality was over the top and we were so thankful for his exceptional support and guidance - especially when our visit had an unexpected turn requiring a dash to the local Emergency Room. We had the most wonderful experience during our stay at Salerno Antica B&B. From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the perfect choice. The rooms were absolutely lovely. Very clean, spacious and quiet. The breakfast served each morning was a culinary delight, serving homemade dishes that were not only delicious but beautifully presented. The host of the B&B, Daniele, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, offering local recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed to make our stay exceptional. Location was absolutely perfect, allowing easy access to the charm of the area, walking distance to ferry and train stations. The best day we had on our trip was the day we spent with Daniele as our tour guide. We spent the day visiting the towns of Vietri sul Mare, Ravello, Atrani, Maiori and Minori. The day was more than perfect! Daniele made arrangements for us to meet the owner of a local ceramic shop in Vietri sul Mare, where the owner walked us through the process of creating the beautiful pieces. He also arranged for us to have lunch in Ravello where the food and view were remarkable. Spending the day with Daniele was an absolute joy. We did not want the day to end! Daniele then surprised us with a video that he created of the day we spent on the tour. He called it a "gift". I will cherish that video forever! If you are visiting Salerno, this is where you want to stay. The room is spacious and clean, the location is ideal (between the historic town and the newer district), but the true star is the host Daniele. He is every bit as wonderful as the reviews say. The breakfasts are truly fantastic, and even when you must leave too early to enjoy the full meal, Daniele will pack a takeaway bag for you. The most valuable thing was how willing he was to help you with ANY recommendations. Daniele was always just a message away when you need to know where to eat, where to catch a ferry, anything really. I would stay here every time, and I would recommend you to do the same.

Daniele is the most gracious host that I have experienced at a bed and breakfast. He takes real pride in offering his home to guests. I will go out of my way to stay at his property next time in Salerno. My highest recommendation.

All great! Daniele, the owner, is very kind and available to give you explanations, makes you feel at home. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with abundant and varied breakfast choices. The b&b is in an optimal location, a stone's throw from the station, the sea, and in the city center. We will be back soon.

The best B&B we have been to. Great location, host, breakfast, and facilities. Daniele didn't miss a thing. He even came to the B&B where we were the night before our stay with him and helped us carry our bags to his place. I needed a scooter and he called a friend in Amalfi who reserved one for me. Everyone had all their scooters rented out, but Daniele pulled a few strings and made it work. Perfect location for everything, just a short 15-minute walk to the train station. Excellent breakfast. I hate to give such a good review because it might make it harder for me to get a booking on my next visit.

Excellent B&B in Salerno. The B&B is located on the edge of the old town in an ancient palazzo on the 3rd floor (elevator available). Daniele is a very attentive and kind host. He was available for any questions and gave us excellent restaurant tips. In our room, there was already a small snack as a welcome gift. The room was very clean, spacious, and equipped with a modern bathroom. We could choose our breakfast individually. Daniele served us fresh, typical sweets and prepared cappuccino. Unfortunately, we could only stay in Salerno for two nights. The B&B Salerno Antica was a highlight of our three-week trip in Campania. Thank you Daniele!

Everything about this place was perfect. The location is perfectly centered in Salerno so you can walk almost anywhere you want to be in 15 minutes. The host Danielle is incredible and served us the best breakfasts we had anywhere in Italy. Upon arrival Danielle asked us our plans and gave suggestions. The day we were going to hike the Path of the Gods he had our breakfast boxed up waiting for us so we could take it on the trails. The place is clean and the a/c will keep the room ice cold. This is a must stay for anyone basing out of Salerno. Anytime we ever visit this area we will only stay at Salerno Antica. We absolutely loved it.

If I could give Salerno Antico more than a 10, I definitely would do so. Daniele is the consummate host with excellent communication and recommendations. He cares about every aspect of your stay. This includes starting your day with his most delicious, fresh breakfast and ending at a local suggested, amazing restaurant. My family and I appreciate all of his kindness and look forward to someday returning to his most charming b&b.

My husband and I stayed five nights with Daniele in June 2023. We'd like to highly HIGHLY recommend his charming B&B to all who are planning to visit the famous Amalfi Coast. Daniele was an incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming host. He served the most delicious and wholesome breakfasts each morning on beautiful ceramics from the neighboring Vietri Sul Mare, catering to our specific dietary preferences. Daniele was incredibly communicative and helpful to us over WhatsApp before, during, and after our stay. Each day, our cozy and homey room was cleaned meticulously. On the day of our check-out, Daniele even provided us a transfer to Sorrento and tour along the Amalfi Coast at a very reasonable rate. In addition to expertly navigating and driving us along the single-lane scenic cliffside roads of the Amalfi Coast, he tailored the day toward our interests. We made stops to buy ceramics in Vietri Sul Mare and anchovy oil in Cetara, visit Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, stop by a famous fruit stand near Positano, and snap a photo in Furore. Throughout the drive, Daniele was fantastic company and provided a lovely local perspective on Italian food culture and the various Amalfi towns. The B&B itself is within walking distance to both the Salerno train station and the TravelMar ferry port. This made it highly accessible both from our international flight into Rome as well as our daily ferry trips to each of the nearby Amalfi towns. Daniele also gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants near the B&B, allowing us to enjoy the impeccable hospitality of his friends. I am so grateful not only to have stayed at Salerno Antica but also to have met Daniele, a true gem in hospitality. Please book your stay at Salerno Antica - you will not regret it!

The best breakfast we have ever had. Wonderful host who was very helpful and accommodating.

My wife and I stayed at Salerno Antica for our one year wedding anniversary and it was magical. Firstly, our host Daniele is an amazing person. Since my wife and I were in Italy for the first time, Daniele took the time to explain the Italian customs and gave us detailed recommendations on what we should do in the Amalfi Coast, be it food or shopping or drinks. This was key for us to enjoy our stay. Daniele speaks perfect Italian and English which was super helpful as communication was very smooth. Most of all, Daniele's empathy to understand the mindset of the traveller really stood out, leading to my wife and I feeling very understood and cared for. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. We were able to rest and relax after a long day outside. The bed was comfortable and the cleaning staff left us chocolates on our pillows after they had cleaned the room which was a nice touch. WiFi was fast too! Daniele's flavors for breakfast was really appreciated as the combination of flavors really made our taste buds jump for joy. The freshness of the food was evident and made us question everything we had eaten in our home country! Lastly, the location of Salerno Antica is another reason for why we were able to have a great time. The closeness to amazing restaurants within walking distance, ensured that we were able to have great food without having to travel far. It is also close to the ferry terminal which allowed us to be spontaneous and take day trips to the neighbouring towns of Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Ravello, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi & Positano. All in all, Salerno Antica really checks all the boxes for an accommodation and Daniele really elevates it to a memorable experience. Needless to say, we were very sad to leave and we will definitely return again. This is for sure a must stay!

Daniele was fantastic. If you are looking for an authentic experience, complete with breakfast made fresh and with local authenticity in mind, this is the place. Daniele provided a welcome snack upon check-in and a hearty breakfast which included a special surprise, yogurt made from buffalo milk.

Here you are welcomed into Daniele's house, and immediately feel at home! The location is excellent, in the middle of shopping, restaurants, groceries, cafes, and history. The stone streets invite you to wander and discover little surprises everywhere. And you are located within easy walk to both ports which can take you to Amalfi, Positano, Capri, and other towns. Perfect stay, and I highly recommend it.

Wonderful place to stay in the historical area of Salerno! After time in Rome and Florence, Salerno was a welcome respite. Easy arrival as it is the last stop on the fast train. Fewer tourists and an adorable town with great restaurants and tons of shopping! Easy to take a private boat or the ferry to many places along the Amalfi Coast. Room was very clean and comfortable and I felt very safe in the neighborhood. The best part, however, was the host Daniele. He anticipated our every need and was more than accommodating and kind before and during our stay! As others have mentioned, the breakfasts were AMAZING! Daniele was truly interested in making our stay enjoyable and if I could rate him a 20 I would! If you are searching through reviews and places to stay, stop and stay here! What a lovely find in Salerno. A beautiful, modern room right in the heart of Salerno with the most amazing host you could ever meet. Upon arriving late in the evening, Daniele was there to ensure our check in was smooth. He gave us a map with highlights, had delicious bufala mozzarella and tomatoes while we chatted and asked about our plans providing tips and suggestions. Our breakfasts were unbelievable! So many delicious items were presented in the beautiful breakfast room of the home he grew up in. I still dream of the lemon yogurt, and I don’t normally like yogurt! One day we had an early departure and he packed a wonderful breakfast to go and left it by our room. The property is walking distance of so many things, there are restaurants galore just steps away. It’s an easy walk to the train station and the waterfront. Daniele speaks wonderful English which really helped on this first trip to Italy where we spoke no Italian. He made the start of our trip something we will never forget. Don’t hesitate to book this property. It will be one you won’t forget.

This is a gem of a place for anyone staying in Salerno. It's super well located in the historical center of the city, with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. It's at walking distance from the Salerno train station and the port from where the ferries leave to the different towns on the Amalfi coast. The room was lovely, with a good, modern en suite bathroom. And then there's the fantastic host, Daniele: his breakfasts are beautiful and tasty, made with the best of the local produce he can find; he takes the time to give you really good tips on where to eat, what towns to visit, and also gives you all sort of useful information to help you make the best of your holiday. We left with the impression that he is a person with a healthy - and yet humble- pride + lots of love for Italian food and culture, and a wish to share it with you. Our host Daniele is truly a passionate owner and goes beyond one's expectations to meet our every need! After visiting Italy for 2 weeks, he gets our vote for best of the best! We would love to return again.

We booked Salerno Antica as a base to explore Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. Its location is a 15-minute pleasant walk from the ferry and train station. For a traveler, it is important to get a good night's sleep, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room is cozy and very quiet. Shower and bathroom very clean, filled with everything you need and more. The air conditioner is quiet. Breakfast is different every morning, delicious with a lot of variation, including breakfast to go if you need to leave early. We were able to leave our luggage after checking out. The best part is the host, Daniel. He is charming, helpful, attentive. We had a fantastic stay. Highly recommend!

One of the best Bed and Breakfasts we have ever come across. Perfect score!

Location was great, a 15-minute walk from the train station and 2 blocks from the waterfront. The walk to the ferry dock was 15 minutes. The B & B is located just off a nice piazza. The residence is on the 3rd floor but has a lift. What makes this place special is the host Daniele! He is attentive but not overly so. The host answered questions, provided information about the area and the city, resolved issues with booking a ferry tour, and made reservations at a beautiful restaurant we would not have found on our own. We stayed for 4 nights and slept well, greeted with a wonderful breakfast every morning (many wonderful choices) served in either the early sitting (8-9am) or the late sitting (9-10am). The residence has a separate area for the B&B section, a very quiet setting decorated with lovely antiques. Salerno was perfect for us as it had easy ferry access to coastal towns without the crowds of tourists we encountered in towns on the coast. Also worth noting is the ease of getting to Salerno by train from either Rome or Naples and the ease of getting to Pompeii (or other tourist destinations)! Thank you Daniele, our stay was a gem in our trip.

Our room was clean, modern, and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The B&B was located close to the ferry as well as Salerno historic area. Our host, Daniele, was extremely kind and helpful, providing assistance and recommendations for the ferry, restaurants, sights, and patiently answering all our questions (sometimes twice). He served wonderful, filling breakfasts, which were different each day, including serving the pasteria tart on Easter morning.

I cannot recommend the Salerno Antica enough, I wish I could give a higher rating than 10! I will tell everyone that they must visit Salerno and they HAVE to stay here. Daniele was such an amazing host and the breakfast was so delicious each day. We never had the same thing twice! The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location truly cannot be beat. There are numerous day trips you can take along the coast from Salerno, this was the perfect location for us to come back to each night. We stayed in Salerno for three nights in early November. What a lovely city. It was enhanced by our stay at Salerno Antica. The accommodations were very nice and clean. The location was perfect for exploring the city or hopping on the ferry to Capri. The breakfast was delicious. What I really enjoyed was our host Danelle. Such a gentleman! He is passionate about hospitality and the city it calls home. As a hospitality professional myself, I believe the best compliment a guest can give is to be a repeat guest. I would absolutely stay at Salerno Antica again.

My wife and I had an amazing time staying at Salerno Antica. Daniele went above and beyond with his hospitality. His recommendations and knowledge of Salerno and the Amalfi Coast made our vacation even better. Every breakfast he served was delicious! We would highly recommend staying at Salerno Antica if you are in need of a room in the area.

The accommodation is in the center, close to the station. The seafront promenade is a few minutes' walk away. Nearby restaurants, shopping. Rooms are spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast is generous, Daniele our host is attentive and helpful. If I could, I would give it a 6-star rating.

We cannot say enough about our experience in Daniele’s B&B. Spotless, quiet, comfortable, centrally located with more than adequate things to do and restaurants to eat at. And Daniele could not have been more helpful. He even gave my husband a personal lesson in making espresso with visuals. He’s kind, informative, easy to communicate with and responsive. Every suggestion he made was spot on. His B&B is a block from a beautiful promenade on the sea and a wonderful way to walk off the wonderful food in Salerno. Salerno is a splendid city to use as home base for the Amalfi Coast which is why we rented there but all in all, Salerno is a wonderful DESTINATION in itself. The “real Italy” while many residents spoke English, and Daniele spoke English fluently. His homemade breakfasts were catered to our tastes and our desires. Delicious. I stayed at Salerno Antica with my partner in September and I can guarantee that it is of a superior level. A family atmosphere, accompanied by professionalism, grace, and availability that are hardly found elsewhere, sometimes not even in some 4-star hotels where I have stayed. The room, spacious and finely furnished, has all the comforts one may need. The bathroom, brand new (probably recently renovated), has a large shower and impeccable sanitary facilities. We love continental breakfast and Daniele, the owner, managed to satisfy us by offering different dishes, sweet and savory, each morning, of a taste and quality absolutely noteworthy. Every morning the room was tidied up with care and, as an unexpected but appreciated treat that denotes a certain class, a chocolate (always of excellent brands) was left on the bedside table. The B&B's location is very central, a few meters from the main street of Salerno and a stone's throw from the beautiful seafront. Ideal for those who want to visit the city and the Amalfi Coast without using a car. The ferries can be reached in about fifteen minutes on foot. Why did I try to be so detailed and meticulous in the review? Simply to reward those who made me feel so good during my stay and who deserve to have their excellent work appreciated by other guests.

Everything about our stay here was incredible! Daniele was so kind and respectful, and he always made us feel comfortable. Before arriving in Salerno, he had sent a list of restaurant recommendations which was very helpful - we only ate at the recommended places and I’m glad we did because they were some of the best meals we had during our trip to Italy. The breakfast provided for us was amazing, and we looked forward to eating every morning. We took boats and ferries to different places along the Amalfi coast every day, and it was so convenient that the boats were a short walk away. The "squaring the circle", as the solution is defined, almost impossible, to a very difficult problem, a definition that I could attribute to the reality of the B&B Antica Salerno. With a small group of friends we organize a one-week vacation, destination Pompeii and Herculaneum and what you can see of the Amalfi Coast. Deciding to use only public transport, we start calculating distances and routes and the optimal solution is to base ourselves in Salerno. Here we are lucky enough to find our B&B, which appears very welcoming from the website. From the first contact we immediately receive support, with a series of tips, so we also include Paestum in the tour. Our base will be, in the historic center, 15' walk from the station and the port for hydrofoils, a nice walk to do either on the waterfront or on the pedestrian Corso Vittorio Emanuele, full of shops, bars, ice cream shops for every taste. Furthermore, the B&B offers us a tour of the coast, by land, Ravello, Amalfi, without missing Cetara and Atrani. We will revisit Amalfi, with Positano, arriving by sea. Two approaches to these places that integrate perfectly. Daniele, the young but very professional owner of the B&B, welcomes us showing us our rooms that seem even more beautiful than in the pictures and that have all the comforts of a 4-star hotel. The surprise will be at breakfast, tailored to our sweet or savory tastes, but with fresh, typical and quality products. There were no shortage of advice and suggestions that made our vacation even more enjoyable and complete and we can only thank him for his availability, competence, ability to make people feel in a familiar but discreet and never intrusive environment. Absolutely recommended, deserves the highest marks. We already have the idea of returning as soon as possible, perhaps to admire the famous artist's lights of the Christmas period.

If you are looking for a unique dolce vita experience Salerno Antica with his host Daniele is what you are looking for. My husband and I had the pleasure to stay at this amazing place for almost a week back in summer 2019. Daniele is the sweetest person, he helped us plan so many of our outings, made phones calls for us and prepared us the best breakfast and cappuccino every morning! His hospitality is so genuine. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The location is amazing, close to all the restaurants and shops. Walking distance from the port where you can take a boat on a daily basis and discover every part of the Amalfi coast. Also, he helped us plan a day trip on a private boat to discover all of Amalfi and Capri. I highly recommend Daniele and Salerno Antica. I am soooo looking forward to going back.

THE BEST B&B I KNOW IN ITALY! Perfectly located in the city and easily accessible, right before the beginning of the pedestrian area. Quiet but close to restaurants and cafes. A stone's throw from via dei mercanti and the waterfront. The room has been completely renovated with excellent taste and is impeccably clean with a nice balcony. Very comfortable bed. DANIELE'S ATTENTION IS UNBEATABLE. He welcomed us in the afternoon with an aperitif. Every day he offered us different breakfasts (sweet/savory) with homemade and typical local products (his Mom's lemon cake was delicious). He provided us every day - via whatsapp - with tips on visits and restaurants not only for Salerno but also for Paestum and the Amalfi Coast and none disappointed. All the good comments we read about him were more than fulfilled. WITHOUT A DOUBT THE ACCOMMODATION I WOULD RECOMMEND TO MY FRIENDS AND THE TYPE I WOULD LIKE TO FIND IN MY NEXT TRIPS.

I stayed with my boyfriend for 3 nights in the Deluxe room of this beautiful, central, comfortable b&b. The room was warm, spacious, and clean with a super comfortable bed; the lovely little balcony overlooking the alleys of Salerno, the perfect bathroom. Daniele, a very skilled and kind young man, welcomed us with a tray of delicacies upon our arrival in the room (tarallini, small mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes - all appetizing), prepared a sweet breakfast for my boyfriend and a savory one for me. To call it breakfast is an understatement as it was rich in delicacies: sfogliatelle, babà, brioche, fried donut, huge croissants, fruit, yogurt, fruit juices, bruschetta with cherry tomatoes, rustic cake, ham and cheese toast, savory crepe, omelette, and a super creamy cappuccino with a sprinkle of cocoa on top, even better than at the bar! Before our arrival, he sent me all the information about places to eat and park, and gave us various tips on the villages of the Amalfi Coast to visit and on travel by car or ferry. In the evenings, upon our return to the room, he left a chocolate on the bedside table. I would return to the b&b with closed eyes every time I have the opportunity to stay in Salerno, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you Daniele! Congratulations and see you soon! Wow! Daniele was the host of all hosts. You can really tell he takes great pride in everything he does. Even the standard room includes the highest quality mattress and pillows, a welcome tray of the freshest mozzarella and tomatoes, a breakfast that rivals five-star hotels in presentation, quality, and variety. His friendliness and professionalism were greatly appreciated. The building includes an elevator and is located in a perfect location to the sea, restaurants, and cafes. I can't say enough of how good this place is, and how nice our host Daniele is! We had a great experience staying in this place. It's in a great and convenient location, about 10 mins walking to the train station; the beach is around the corner; plenty of restaurants, bars, shops around it. Daniele was so responsible, accommodating, and patient. He also made a great breakfast.

I stayed at this wonderful property in July. I immediately loved the kindness and education of Daniele, always super attentive to detail! The rooms are beautiful and super comfortable and in the bathroom, to my great surprise, I also found a hairdryer with diffuser. The breakfast is super abundant and rich in local specialties. It has become my absolute favorite place in Salerno! I can't wait to go back.

Knowing Salerno well, I relied primarily on the location of the property, to say the least 'strategic', considering the historic center, where it is located, the pulsating heart of the city, full of history, culture, and tradition. Upon arriving at the B&B, I was ecstatic about the taste of the furnishings and the meticulous care of the furnishings' details, researched and refined, which enhance and reflect the local traditions. What I thought would be a one-night stay in Salerno turned into four days after the super host Daniele showed me the hidden treasures of the city and the Amalfi coast. Never underestimate the power of a great host! Daniele has exquisite taste in everything from restaurants, things to see and do, and shopping. I am so grateful for all his suggestions - he saved me an enormous amount of time and money. My only regret is not booking sooner! Do not make this mistake! I highly recommend the bed and breakfast Salerno Antica, we stayed in Salerno for five days and from there, thanks to the proximity of the facility to both piers from which the ferries depart, we visited the Amalfi coast. Daniele was attentive and always available, he gave us great advice on how and what to visit, he pampered us with a rich breakfast and when we went to Capri he also prepared a packed breakfast for us! The welcome and availability were unique! The room was very cozy and clean, the breakfast varied every morning. We stayed for 4 nights and received advice from Daniele on places to visit along the Coast, where to eat. He was very helpful, acting as our guide and recommending the best places in Salerno and surroundings. We stayed for four days at the B&B Antica Salerno, what can I say, not even in the best hotels and resorts have we had the attention that the owner Daniele reserved for us. The room was very clean and cared for in every detail and upon our arrival Daniele welcomed us with a typical welcome in the room. Even on the last day when we had to leave very early, they made us find fresh fruit and water in the room for the morning, an attention that made us very happy. Spacious and clean room, my wife and I stayed with our two children aged 5 and 2. The location is excellent, inside the ZTL next to the main street where the lights are displayed, but only 50 meters from the accessible road and 100 meters from the seafront. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Salerno Antica B&B and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Salerno.\n\nThe location of the B&B is perfect not only for exploring the beautiful old town area of Salerno (with many delicious restaurants nearby) but also for day trips to Amalfi and Pompeii.\n\nOur host, Daniele, was very helpful in giving us lots of information about things we could do while we were staying in Salerno and went above and beyond to provide us with maps, restaurant recommendations (which were all delicious) and transportation information. In fact, he even arranged airport transfer for us which made the transfer from Naples Airport to the B&B so much easier for us.\n\nDaniele really made our stay here as relaxed as possible.\n\nThe B&B is very nice inside and our room was perfectly appointed with a great ensuite and lovely balcony (we stayed in the Deluxe room). The room was very tidy and we appreciated the daily room clean. The B&B is in a lovely area but it was slightly noisy on Saturday night so we really appreciated the complimentary ear plugs although we also enjoyed listening to the liveliness of the nightlife in Salerno- either way, do not let the possibility of noise put you off staying here!\nBreakfast was absolutely amazing. A wonderful little B&B with the best owner/host. Our room was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated and spacious for 3 people. We are 2 adults who were travelling with our 16-year-old granddaughter. The location of the B&B is perfect for exploring Salerno, old city and new. It's a reasonable walk to the train and a shorter walk to the boat docks where you can take a boat to villages along the Amalfi Coast. The Blue Grotto was a favorite destination for us. I don't believe there is a more welcoming host in the B&B industry. Daniele provides a great environment. He answers questions, provides ideas for what to do and how to get there. He even packs a generous breakfast for early morning departures. At the end of our stay, he arranged transport to the airport for us at a reasonable price. We loved Salerno Antica B&B. It's a perfect, centrally located spot that we highly recommend and will return to when the opportunity arises.

We loved staying at Daniele’s place and would definitely stay here again if we come back to Salerno. Daniele was so helpful, giving us advice on getting boats to Amalfi and Capri, as well as recommendations on where to eat and anything else we asked. It was so easy to get to everything we wanted to - the train station and ports are within walking distance and there is lots to do within Salerno itself. Our room had everything we needed and was the perfect place to come back to at the end of a busy day. We looked forward to the breakfast every morning - Daniele provided so much food each day and even packed us a breakfast when we had to leave early our final day. Salerno offers everything - great restaurants, shops, views, tours and travel to many destinations by bus, train, and boats to Amalfi, etc. We have visited Salerno approximately 14 times and know it really well. We stay at Salerno Antica b and b and always come back here to stay. Daniele is an excellent host and the accommodation is to a very high standard, and the breakfast too - perfect and very comfortable. You will never go hungry. Everything is immaculate and of good taste. Each time we come, there is something new we find as well as returning to our go-to places such as La Botte Pazza, Pazza Marea, La Sartania, and Salumeria del Corso. Salerno offers everything you'd expect from the Amalfi coast. We have our next visit booked for July and know we will be warmly greeted by Daniele, and he makes us feel very much at home. We stayed in February, and sorry I can't get the date to set to Feb so have selected a future date.

A great address. B&B in a strategic location to visit the historic center of Salerno and a 15-minute walk from the train station. Impeccable cleanliness, spacious room recently restyled, professional and attentive service, abundant and quality breakfast. The price is in line with the high standard. If a small flaw must be found, it is the low soundproofing of the room towards the outside, but nothing particularly annoying. I will gladly return.

This Bed and Breakfast has set our standards high for the rest of our trip. We were lucky to get the last room for our time in Salerno. Daniele was the best host one could imagine. After a warm welcome and a typical Italian snack in the room, he gave us very good tips for our time in Salerno. All questions were patiently answered and we immediately felt at home. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and provide everything you need. The location is also perfect, right in the center of the city. We walked about 10 minutes from the main train station. Breakfast was also excellent for a Bed and Breakfast. Daniele prepares everything at the desired time and every day there is something different and a local specialty. Unforgettable experience, I met Daniele, the manager, a lovely person who tried to fulfill every request of ours in the best possible way. Honestly, I didn't think there were still people so kind and caring. The B&B is brand new, recently renovated even though it is located inside a very old building. Bathrooms with spacious showers and the rooms are comfortable. In the heart of the historic center, but a few meters from via Roma, a road accessible by car, so it's convenient to reach. It is a very good starting point to visit for example Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples and the Amalfi Coast. There are frequent and direct trains, as well as bus and boat connections (to the Amalfi Coast). We fondly remember our great holiday at Daniele's in Salerno and look forward to the next time!

If you are looking for a place to stay on the Amalfi Coast, this is the perfect place! Our stay at Salerno Antica B&B was exceptional. It is the first time that when renting a room I feel at home. The house is located in a very central area, close to everything. The metro station is about a 15-minute walk away, as are the two ferry stations where you can easily reach all the famous ports of the Amalfi Coast (Capri, Positano, Amalfi, etc). You can also easily reach Naples from here. From the moment we arrived, Daniele welcomed us with a typical snack from the Campania region (mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes, and cookies), provided us with city and ferry maps, inquired about our itinerary and suggested other things to visit, he was always attentive to us and recommended places to visit. The breakfasts were always very well served and varied (yogurt, fruit, coffee, different types of juices, sweet bread, caprese salad, he made us omelettes one day, bruschettas). He even prepared a breakfast to take away because we were leaving very early in the morning one of the days (sandwiches, fruit, rolls, juices, and water). Regarding the room, it feels like being in a hotel room! The bathroom and the room are very clean, there is a minibar and he even leaves sweets for you every day when cleaning. I was enjoying staying at Salerno Antica so much, I don't know what to write about in detail. Big, bright, perfectly clean, high ceiling, nicely furnished Italian style room with a private bathroom and varied breakfast options. All of this, plus a host ready to support you any time made my stay perfect. I will come back for sure one day.

Our host, Daniele, was absolutely wonderful. His kindness and generosity made us feel like friends visiting for a few days. The accommodation was spotless, and his home-cooked breakfasts were delicious. The location was perfect to reach any of the sights, and Daniele's recommendations were excellent. We would highly recommend Salerno Antica B&B when in Salerno.

What can I say, everything is excellent. A return that confirms the excellent hospitality, friendliness, and professionalism of an exceptional manager, Daniele. The property has a lovely location, very close to the seafront and the characteristic historic center. Delicious breakfast with fresh and high-quality products, clean and welcoming room.

We really enjoyed our stay at Salerno Antica. The establishment is located right in the center, so very convenient for walks and in close proximity to the port for trips along the Amalfi Coast. We stayed for a few days in this splendid Bed and Breakfast in the historic center of Salerno. Daniele the owner is a delightful and helpful person who pampered us and guided us on excursions. Excellent breakfast with very fresh local products. The Bed and Breakfast is clean and welcoming but above all it is located in a strategic position near the tourist port where you can reach the beautiful locations of the Amalfi Coast. We will return.

We loved everything about Salerno Antica B&B, where we stayed while visiting Salerno. We stayed in the deluxe room which is spacious, bright, airy, and sparkling clean. The bathroom is also large with a great shower and lots of shelf space for storing toiletries. Host and owner Daniele is a great guy who obviously loves his business and does everything he can to ensure the comfort of his guests. Being a native of Salerno (the apartment was his family home before being converted to a B&B), he is happy to provide lots of advice on sightseeing in the area. Breakfasts are delicious, varied, and huge. He also left a snack in our room upon arrival. And the location is perfect, being right in Salerno's charming old town and a short walk to the train station and ferry docks. As an extra bonus, the building has an elevator too. We would definitely stay at Salerno Antica B&B again, and can highly recommend it to others. Thank you Daniele, for a wonderful stay. We loved Salerno and wish we had more time to spend there.

We absolutely loved Salerno Antica B&B. Daniele was a perfect host: friendly, attentive, caring. The room is sparkling clean, well decorated, comfortable. Very quiet ac unit that kept the room very cool. A delicious and generous breakfast was provided. Salerno is the perfect place to stay for its many restaurants and boutiques, but also because it is near to the ferries that take you the Amalfi Coast and Positano for only €8. We can highly recommend this B&B and we hope to stay again one day.

Daniel was a wonderful host and his property is terrific. Central location to the city center as well as the coast. The property had a lot of charm. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was very satisfying. And, Daniel could not have been more accommodating as a host. A delightful experience.

Salerno Antica is the perfect place to stay for any length of time in Salerno. Salerno itself is charming in its simple, no-nonsense way (we particularly enjoyed the beautiful Minerva Gardens) and is perfectly situated for a trip to any of the towns on the Amalfi Coast by ferry, or to anywhere in the Napoli Bay area by train. The B&B is beautifully decorated - our room was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The furnishing is very modern and tasteful and the bed was big - the shower was also a double shower and very nice. The best part about our stay was Daniele the host because he made us feel very comfortable and welcome and was particularly helpful in accommodating our needs and giving us advice on how to make the best of our trip. He made a truly excellent breakfast each morning, with plenty of food on offer, and even accommodated for my food allergy. Even when we had no time to eat breakfast one morning he packed it in a bag for us to take on the train. Never have I stayed anywhere with a host so thoughtful and polite! Salerno Antica B&B felt like a home-away-from-home. I would absolutely recommend it as the perfect place to stay - thank you.

In the city center, in a building with an elevator, I found maximum availability right from the start, starting from the check-in time. I was welcomed by the owner Daniele, very kind and friendly, who offered me some local delicacies as a welcome and this morning a very rich breakfast with very good local sweets. Very large room and cared for in every detail, including the lights, very comfortable bed, large flat-screen TV and mini fridge in the room, private bathroom with a very large shower, all new and very clean.

Everything really perfect, strategic location for everything. Fabulous manager available and friendly.

Salerno Antica is a very cozy place located in the heart of the historic center of the city where it is pleasant to wander through the alleys. Just a few steps separate it from the seafront with a beautiful promenade. The B&B is situated in an old house. The rooms are nicely modern, perfectly clean and very comfortable. Daniele, the host of the place, is very friendly and welcoming, always ready to give good advice for visiting the city, the Amalfi Coast or finding a good restaurant. His welcome upon arrival is very pleasant, with a small tasting tray of local products. The breakfast is excellent. Daniele prepares small regional specialties and offers a wide selection of delicious pastries. It's a place I highly recommend, whether you are in Salerno on vacation or for business.

Very good stay at Daniele's from Salerno Antica, a B&B in the heart of the medieval district of Salerno. The room is extremely clean, very pleasant. Excellent bedding and a small balcony overlooking the street (for the superior room). Daniele is a charming host who offers splendid breakfasts, always a little advice for visits around and very good restaurant recommendations. We really enjoyed the welcome aperitif with buffalo mozzarella (excellent). Highly recommended!

Daniele was a 10+++ host. He went above and beyond to make our experience pleasurable. We also hired him to take us on a day trip to Amalfi and Ravello, which made our short stay so much easier and interesting as he gave us the local insight on the area. Salerno is centrally located for day trips to the must-see tourist areas. The ferry to Positano and Amalfi and trains to Pompeii and Paestum are 15 min walks away. The accommodations were clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous. The location in this historic district was wonderful with good restaurants nearby. Don't waste your time searching websites for a better deal and book at Salerno Antica now.

I have been on holiday in this splendid B&B with my family. I must say that even before departure, the owner, Daniele, had shown himself to be very kind and helpful in sending us photos of the rooms and all the details. The B&B is in a strategic location, from which everything is easily reachable on foot, both the ports and the seafront and the historic center. Cozy, impeccable, and spotless room. Daniele pampers and spoils his guests without ever being intrusive! He takes care of the details and is an excellent host. Breakfast always presented perfectly, to be enjoyed with classical music in the background. Truly rejuvenating. We felt at home, a happy and carefree vacation framed by the beauty of the Amalfi Coast and the passion that Daniele conveys for his work and his land. We will definitely come back to visit him!

This is the most amazing B&B we have ever stayed at! Spotless, beautifully decorated room with an outstanding bathroom/shower. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on in Italy. The location is perfect for exploring the Amalfi coast. And if you like to shop, you are right in the middle of the shopping district. The elevator was a blessing for my spouse with his knee and ankle issues. But, the absolute best thing about our stay here was our host, Daniele. He was AMAZING! He even took us for a drive up the Amalfi coast to visit a couple of towns and arranged a lunch reservation for us right on the ocean in Amalfi Town. His price to do this was a fraction of what anyone else would have charged. OUTSTANDING!

Breakfast and service were amazing, modern and comfortable room. I hope to come back as soon as possible. Daniele welcomed us on a day when we needed a last-minute accommodation, and he had special attentions during the check-in and the stay.

Stayed for 3 nights in this updated and comfortable B&B while touring the Amalfi Coast. It is located in the center of Salerno, approximately half a mile from the train station and ferry dock. Many restaurants and shops close by. Our room was comfortable and cleaned daily. Daniele was a most gracious host. On our arrival, he welcomed us with some yummy treats, as he gave us advice on where to eat and what to see in Salerno. He ensured that all our needs were met. The day we arrived he made reservations for us to eat at Ristorante Cicirinella, a popular restaurant with the locals, where we had an awesome meal. Breakfast each morning consisted of omelets, cheese toast, juice, yogurt, breads and danish. We arranged a day with Daniele touring Amalfi and Ravello. We had a great time. Lunch was excellent at the Marina Grande restaurant and on the way back to Salerno, Daniele stopped in Alfani to buy us delicious cakes for dessert. Because we were leaving early on our return to Rome (we had a tour planned in Pompeii), Daniele packed us a bagged breakfast and lunch to take with us. I highly recommend Salerno Antica and would not hesitate to go back.

Could only stay for two days, wish it could be longer. Host was great and could not be more helpful. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Only two rooms available in this small b/b, so book early. Great location in the old town, but did get a bit lost trying to find it in the dark. This was our second stay at Salerno Antica B&B. We had notified Daniele of some mobility problems before we left home, and even though he was away the day that we arrived, he arranged to have his mother Carmen and friend Luca pick us up at the train station.\n\nLast year we stayed in the street-side “blue” room on the right as you enter the flat, this time we stayed in the “pink” room on the left. When we arrived, our room had a “welcome” tray with drinks and Italian snacks waiting for us. Just like last time, the room was spacious and immaculate, with a nice size on-suite bathroom. Breakfast consisted of a nice assortment of pastries, fruit, cold meats, etc, and eggs on request, and was served in the living room. It was 90 F (32 C) each day we were there, but the AC in the room worked great and allowed us to keep the room at a comfortable temp.\n\nSalerno Antica is located in Piazza Portanova, on the edge of the old town, just inside the old city gate. Step outside the door and you can wander the charming historic lanes and alleys of Salerno. Daniele always gives us good dinner recommendations, and referred us to Alfredo, the owner of Botte Pazza right around the corner from the B&B - probably one of the best meals we had this trip. Also, don’t miss Pizzeria Trianon in Piazza Flavio Gioia near the old city gate - the pizza was so good we had it there 2 nights.\n\nSalerno makes a great base for exploring the Amalfi Coast, much less crowded and much less touristy than some other towns, with easy ferry or SITA bus connections to any Amalfi Coast town. There is a SITA bus stop at the Post office near the B&B, and a Tabacchi right near there where you can buy bus tickets. Vietri sul Mare (hand-painted ceramics) is the next town up on the SITA bus route, about 10 minutes away from Salerno, and the beautiful village of Cetara (anchovies) is another 5 minutes along the road. We took the ferry back from Cetara for 5 Euros. Amalfi was also an easy 25 minute ferry ride from Salerno for 8 Euros, and Positano was about an hour ferry ride from Salerno for 12 Euros.\n\nWe love staying in Salerno when visiting the Amalfi Coast, probably more so because of Salerno Antica B&B and Daniele. We hired Daniele for a drive along the southern part of the Amalfi Coast, and very much enjoyed our drive with him and his lovely friend Serena, who walked around with us as we visited different towns and villages. We will definitely stay with Daniele again the next time we visit the Amalfi Coast, and highly recommend Salerno Antica B&B.

An ideal location in Salerno Antica, a 20-minute walk from the train station and in the heart of the city. The port is also a 20-minute walk away, where you will find regular ferries to the Amalfi Coast! The room is exactly like the photos, clean and well-maintained, all within a beautiful family apartment. Being the room facing the street, it can be a bit noisy, but it's hard to do otherwise in the heart of the city. Breakfast is a delight and will allow you to taste the different specialties of the region. Finally, Daniele is a perfect host and will advise you on the best for your visits! We arrived a little before the classic check-in time and Daniele was waiting for us with a delicious aperitif. We were able to leave our luggage in the apartment on the day of our departure to visit before taking the train. Daniele even offered us coffee before leaving for a final goodbye! We will definitely come back!

The structure is very welcoming and managed in a very professional manner. It is located in an ancient palace in the center of Salerno and is equipped with elegant yet functional environments. The young manager demonstrates high professionalism and is very nice. For example, the welcome aperitif is excellent and the breakfast is varied in contents. The quality/price ratio is also very good.
