I am 28 years old, I was born and raised in Naples and I have been involved in tourism for several years. My mother Paola and I have been managing Residenza Malaterra recently and we are happy about it. I love nature, animals and good food.

I am deeply in love with my Naples but when the commitments allow me I run out of town to my grandfather's house where I have a German shepherd.

My mother and I love Neapolitan pastry, in particular the babà and the sfogliatelle that we always offer to our guests.

A few meters from the ancient pizzeria Starita and from the set of the famous scene of Sofia Loren, pizza maker in De Sica's film, the Materdei district is among the oldest in Naples. Rich in archaeological sites dating back to Roman times and paleo Christian (catacombs of San Gaudioso, catacombs of San Gennaro, cemetery of Fontanelle) and churches in baroque style we are 5 minutes from the National Museum (MANN) and 10/15 minutes from the streets of crib art (San Gregorio Armeno) and by the decumani where San Severo chapel is located with the famous work of the Veiled Christ. A short distance away is the district of Sanità and the Capodimonte museum together with the prestigious astronomical observatory of the Bourbon era of international renown. The area is served by the Metropolitan station (200 meters from us) which allows you to reach the port and station in a short time.

Very spacious room and comfortable beds, really immaculate, in a quiet neighborhood. The only small "regrets": the shower head is in very poor condition; the breakfast is self-service (you do not see the owner, unfortunately, you do not have the opportunity to chat!) and it is all plastic-wrapped (it is not homemade) but a positive point for foodies, there are plenty of choices and it is all-you-can-eat; it is a bit far from the center on foot... but the metro is 300 meters away! Do not be fooled, it is still a great address. Thank you!

A nice place to stay in Naples away from the fuss and close to the center. The hosts are lovely people, the place is nice and you will find whatever you need at your door, supermarkets, places to eat, and a metro station.

The B&B is located in a historic building so it is not very modern, but it has all the necessary amenities. My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights and we had a great time. Impeccable cleanliness of the room and bathroom. The breakfast is mainly sweet, but satisfying and the coffee is really good. The owner welcomed us warmly, accommodated our requests and also recommended places of interest nearby. Highly recommended and thanks again!

Comfortable facility near the subway. More than good breakfast and cleanliness. Rooms on the fourth floor but with elevator and excellent service for the car garage. The owner is very kind.

Apart from a few initial inconveniences, the stay was wonderful. The structure, in an ancient building in Naples, is tastefully and elegantly furnished. Mrs. Paola is of a unique kindness and availability, she really made us feel at home. The strategic location just a few steps from the metro allowed us to move around easily. In less than five minutes on foot, you can reach the renowned pizzeria Starita. In short, everything was truly excellent. I take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Paola for the attention she had towards us. We will definitely see each other in December! This time in the room with the whirlpool though.

The clean property, equipped with a kitchen area with all the equipment to prepare a hearty breakfast, is located in a quiet neighborhood, just steps away from restaurants, pizzerias, and supermarkets. Very close to the metro that takes you to the historic center of Naples in a few stops. Highly recommended. Mrs. Paola, who manages the b&b, is a lovely person. We stayed in the suite which has a loft for the sleeping area (with the bed, a chair, a hanging open day cabinet and two bedside tables), the room is spacious and comfortable, with a nice sofa and also an armchair. The bathroom is quite spacious and equipped with the necessary. Good breakfast with packaged products (slices, croissants, jam, cereals and honey) and a pastry cake, in the fridge there were milk, juices, yogurt and butter. Unfortunately, there is not much possibility to easily find parking near the property, so you have to leave the car in a nearby garage, but from there you can move by metro or on foot, even though we preferred the taxi. The owner was very kind and helpful. Recommended to spend a weekend or, if possible, even more days in Naples.

Very comfortable room and great location for those who want to visit the city. Only breakfast was the most critical moment: seating was limited, not enough to have breakfast with friends or simultaneously with all the guests in the property.

Spacious room, I stayed in the quadruple Renaissance, although not brand new the furniture and the bathroom are functional and very clean. Super abundant breakfast with cakes (homemade pastiera) and packaged products, on request I was provided with a wide choice of gluten-free products. Mrs. Paola was very kind, generous with advice and always available, excellent communication. The property is located in a beautiful building with an elevator in the Materdei district, 2 minutes from the metro station and the Starita pizzeria (which also offers gluten-free pizza), about 40 minutes walk from the center. Highly recommended.

We spent 4 days in Naples with the family to celebrate my wife's birthday, staying at Residenza Malaterra was like being at home, Mrs. Paola is a special host, she even left a birthday gift in the room. The structure is clean and well organized, just a few steps from the Metro station, the area is well served, Mrs. Paola's recommendations were excellent for discovering the gems of beautiful Naples, unfortunately, the days were few but we have promised to return, everyone should visit Naples at least once in their lifetime and enjoy the beauties of the city and the warmth of the Neapolitans who are a wonderful people. We found a place and a management that fully reflect this splendid city. Warmth and availability are the watchwords to describe a weekend full of beauty. The area is well served and very close to 'Starita' and many other excellent restaurants, wonderful to take the pizza and enjoy it on the small balcony in the veranda of the room... A stone's throw from the metro and the most characteristic districts. Highly recommended.

Structure located in a strategic position to reach the center of Naples quickly with only 2 metro stops. Beautiful premises, clean, spacious and tastefully furnished. Extremely kind Mrs. Paola who made us feel like "guests" and not just customers, caring, always ready to recommend places to visit and the best places to eat.
