Beschreibung

The name “Punta Civita “draws it's origin from it's spectacular location on the Gulf which today hosts many tourists from all over the world but at one time served as a lookout to guard from the invasions of the Saraceni. " Civita " is indeed noted in historical documents from the year 876 when it made part of the “Castellum de Supramonte “first defense outpost on the sea of the city of Ravello
Once the original building of a wine cellar dating back to the 19th century, rooms were added using ancient construction techniques in the early 1960s. Thus was born a typical Mediterranean home overlooking the gulf, amidst lemon groves, grape vines and typical flowers and vegetation of the Amalfi Coast. The floors and tiles are handmade ceramics from Vietri, family antique furniture and artifacts adorn each room, while careful attention has been paid to every detail, it is the passion and personal warmth of the owners that transformed this house into a B&B in 2003.

Punta Civita B&B is found on the road to Ravello (the city of music), approximately 1. 2 km after the crossroad of Castiglione.
After entering the gate to Punta Civita, there are approximately 35 steps down to the house.
There is a public transportation available and a bus stop right near the entrance to Punta Civita for the bus that can take you to and from Amalfi/Ravello.

For those who prefer or love to walk, Atrani can be reached in 15 minutes via a passageway “Scalinata delle Palme“, Ravello in 50 minutes via the “Scalinata del Petrito", and the “Sentiero del Boschetto" will take you to Minori in 60 minutes.

How to reach us by car from North:

A3 Naples - Salerno - Exit Vietri sul Mare - Amalfi Drive direction Ravello.
You will find "Punta Civita" along the road, sea side.

From Salerno or Naples: public buses or, if you prefer, we can arrange a private car to pick you up.

The property is on the cliff, offering a breathtaking view to open your eyes on every morning. Very knowledgeable and helpful host, very clean and safe place. 10 mins away from the beach and town center (Atrani), a steep 500 steps that keep you in shape. From there, a 15 mins walk and you're in Amalfi town.

Beautiful property at a nice location. The views from the balcony are gorgeous. Be advised that the Amalfi Coast is very hilly and it is possible to walk to and from the property, but it requires stairs.

A very nice structure, spectacular view. Our room was large, nice, clean, with a beautiful terrace from which we enjoyed a wonderful panorama. Bathroom with window equipped with a very pleasant modern shower. Very good breakfast served on the beautiful terrace with a splendid sea view. Excellent location 50 meters from the bus stop, which is very important because, given the difficulty of parking, on the coast it is absolutely preferable to move by bus or boat. We also greatly appreciated the option to use the paid parking space within the property for our motorcycle. Finally, it is worth noting the kindness and availability of Roberto, the owner, who tries to accommodate his guests in every possible way. We would be very happy to return.

The B&B Punta Civita is a spectacular place, we feel very lucky to have been able to stay here. Roberto and his family are extremely helpful, kind and generous. The coffee and breakfasts on the terrace while Roberto helped us solidify our daily plans will be highlights of our trip to the Amalfi. The view from the Terrace alone is worth booking the Punta Civita, but the hosts make it that much better. If we ever have a chance to return to the Amalfi Coast, we will be trying to stay here again.

This place is amazing. The view is fantastic and the host Roberto takes his time to make sure that his guests are comfortable. I would highly recommend this place, the view alone is magical. The only drawback is you are not in the city centre, we missed the bus a few times and had to walk uphill for over 30 minutes.

Everything was amazing. We stayed at B&B Punta Civita for 15 days to celebrate our honeymoon. Roberto and his wife are very warm, kind and lovely. They are very helpful. We rented a scooter which is the best way to discover the area. We absolutely loved our trip. The area is breathtaking as is the view from the B&B. We really recommend this location. We visited different areas in Amalfi but our favorite town was Ravello which is only a 5 min drive from the B&B. The rooms are cleaned every day and have air conditioning. They are very beautiful. Our room had a private balcony which was lovely to look at the view. Thank you Punta Civita! We will be back!

Punta Civita is not a common Bed and Breakfast, but a corner of paradise where you can relax and be welcomed by the pleasant courtesy of Mr. Roberto and his wife Nada. Everything is in perfect harmony with the coastal style: hospitality, courtesy, availability, discretion, and sympathy. Breakfast is served abundantly on the wonderful and suggestive panorama of the gulf. The rooms, extremely clean and equipped with all comforts, each have a terrace to relax in tranquility. Punta Civita is a charming gem in an amazing garden setting with incredible views overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Our mini suite was beautifully decorated and a serene retreat that included all the amenities you would need including deck chairs on a private terrace, a minifridge with a bottle opener and corkscrew, a colorful tiled shower, and a comfortable bedroom. The location was perfect for catching the local bus out front for the short ride to Ravello, Atrani, or Amalfi or the 15-minute walk down steps and foot path to Atrani and Amalfi. \n\nOwners, Roberto and Nada, were professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable and accessible hosts. Roberto greeted us upon arrival at the entry gate and every day with a smile that welcomed us each time we saw him. He was always eager to help with directions and recommendations to area attractions and businesses. Nada treated us every morning to her daily delicious breakfast specialties. They are wonderful hosts and welcome you into the warmth and comfort of their enchanting B & B. \n\nWe can't tell you how much we enjoyed our recent stay, and we look forward to spending time at Punta Civita again on our next visit to Campania.

B&B Punta Civita is a very pleasant B&B with lovely colorfully tiled rooms and breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast. Roberto and his wife were welcoming and engaging and made sure all our needs were met. I was not aware when I booked with Punta Civita that it is not located near the center of Ravello. To reach other areas, you can take the local buses, or there are stairs very close by to get to Amalfi. For us, this was a good thing because we decided to sit back, relax, and enjoy the spectacular view!

B&B Punta Civita is by far one of the best locations we have stayed. It is super well placed, close to Amalfi by foot taking the stairs in only 10 minutes. By bus it is a maximum of 5 minutes. It is also very close to the main square and the center of Ravello. The private terrace of the room offers a breathtaking sea view. The breakfast terrace also offers a splendid view and the breakfast is quite abundant. The room is also spacious and has all the necessities. The host, Roberto, is amazing providing us with full information about the area, which transport to use, and in general, he is very caring with the people staying on his property. He made our stay very pleasant and for everything we needed, he was there to help. I would recommend 100% this stay if you ever plan a trip to the Amalfi coast.

A lovely property with spectacular views out to sea. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished with a private terrace overlooking the coast. There was plenty of clothes-hanging space, numerous large drawers and a very pleasant en-suite. The bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast was relatively simple, with a number of options to get the day started. Roberto was a tremendous host, making us feel welcome and giving us good advice on local beaches, towns to visit and travel options. There are bus stops a short distance from the property making travel to Amalfi and Ravello easy if you want to avoid the very steep steps. We would certainly stay here again if visiting the Amalfi coast.

Enchanting structure immersed in its gardens adorned with various plants and trees including the bougainvillea which, with its purple color, blends well with the breathtaking azure sea view. The room is fabulous both in the furnishings that recall the style of the place, and in the view we enjoyed in this wonderful week. Here, the sea is not only seen, but also felt. The hospitality of Roberto and Nada is the cherry on top of this fantastic experience. Warmth is at home here, and there is nothing better than feeling at home even when you are on vacation. However, the strong point of this accommodation lies in its location, about 3 minutes from the center of Amalfi and 10 minutes from the center of Ravello, but above all it allows you to enjoy a breathtaking view over the sea. We loved everything about this place, we could not fault it, an absolute hidden gem. Roberto is a wonderful host, very attentive to all his guests, extremely helpful and full of information. The property sits high above Atrani on the road to Ravello, it has amazing views, beautiful gardens, comfortable rooms with wonderful balconies, a very relaxing place to stay away from the mass of tourists below. There are some fabulous walking tracks to follow along the coast, all through lemon and olive groves and once again amazing views. We highly recommend and we look forward to returning one day.

The views from this B&B are absolutely spectacular. Our lovely and charming bedroom was quite comfortable and it had quite a view out the door to our small private terrace. The property - including the terraces - are all covered with beautiful flowers. One needs to take a bus or a cab to get to Amalfi or Ravello. Walking to either place is quite demanding and time-consuming. But we thought this was a minor issue because of the spectacular views and the peace and quiet of the B&B location. The owner, Roberto, was extremely helpful.

Beautiful B&B Punta Civita, with a spectacular sea view, located between Ravello and Amalfi about 10 minutes by car from both (Amalfi can also be reached on foot, in about 20 minutes). Bus stop a few meters from the gate. Spacious and very clean room. The owner, Roberto, is a very kind person and ready to give any kind of advice. I will definitely come back, and I recommend it to everyone!

My husband and I enjoyed a delightful week at Punta Civita B&B! Our room and veranda provided a spectacular view of the Amalfi coast along with the beautiful flowers, lemon and olive trees that surround the property. The suite was spacious and had amazing tile work, a comfortable king bed, lovely furnishings and a nice bathroom. It is situated away from the towns of Ravello, Atrani and Amalfi, but we enjoyed our walks to and from the towns, even during the rainy weather we experienced (late October/early November). There is a bus stop right next to the property which also made it easy to get around since we didn't have a car. Roberto's hospitality and engaging personality was wonderful and he went out of his way to help us navigate buses, tours and transportation to and from Naples. The breakfasts were yummy and included Nada's homemade baked goods, yogurt, juice, fruit, assorted breads and rolls and coffee, including cappuccino and espresso. It is a lovely get-away and we look forward to visiting again! A great value too!

Lovely B&B with very attentive, engaged, and friendly hosts. Roberto was very accommodating to every request. The location is lovely - beautiful expansive views of the sea and coast - but not close to anything. Need a bus, taxi, or private driver to get to the coast. Still, we would recommend Punta Civita since we had a delightful stay with Roberto and his family, and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

A real highlight of the trip for us. So nice to be above the fray, beautiful views, and charming rooms. Very nice and quiet and the deck is amazing to sit and have breakfast or relax. The location was great too with access to the main sights via a short walk or bus ride.

Delightful and pretty place with a terrific host. A glorious veranda for breakfast and for sunsets. You can see villages from Maiori and Minori nearly to Salerno and just above the small village of Atrani. It is a difficult walk to the village but safe. The bus is unreliable as far as schedule, so a tip if you are going to Ravello is to sit on your patio and watch for the bus to begin its drive up the mountain, then go outside to the nearby bus stop. The one coming downhill I can't help you with.\n\nWe enjoyed our three night stay.

My wife and I had a beautiful time at B&B Punta Civita with Roberto and his family. Roberto is an amazing host who goes out of his way to make sure you feel at home in his bed and breakfast. He is an exceptional host who is kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about all the sights on the Amalfi Coast. We enjoyed our room, the views, as well as breakfast. The overall feel of the bed and breakfast was authentic and it was away from the crowds but close to all the sights as we walked to Atrani, Amalfi, and Ravello although the SITA bus leaves right in front of his property if needed to reach all the sights of Amalfi. As everyone else writes, you cannot fault Roberto and his hospitality at the beautiful B&B Punta Civita. The rooms are lovely, the location is superb (between Amalfi and Ravello - the perfect spot on the Amalfi Coast) and the breakfasts on the terrace just superb. Stunning views and such a peaceful place. The Amalfi coast can be a little hectic especially on the roads, and Punta Civita really is a little slice of pure tranquility. Thanks to Roberto and his wife for a wonderful stay.

A Dream Come True. Imagine this setting. You are on a terraced hillside overlooking Italy's most beautiful coastline with small towns and fishing villages in view. You look out your patio door to a panoramic vista of the Tyrrhenian Sea with ferries and ships gliding across the water. You are surrounded by lush gardens and groves of lemon trees. Your room is very comfortable and well appointed. Your hosts are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. You eat a delicious breakfast on the patio under a sun-drenched sky. You enjoy a bottle of fine wine from the winery across the road as you watch the sun setting over the sea. The lights of a distant Salerno and the local towns of Minori and Maiori become visible as darkness sets in. You are a fifteen-minute staircase walk away from a magnificent dinner in the picturesque seaside village of Atrani. You are a short bus ride up to the charming town of Ravello with its elegant gardens and overwhelming views. You might think that all of this is a dream, but it is not. It is B&B Punta Civita, a dream come true. We spent four glorious days as the guests of Roberto and Nada Lucibello at their marvelous B&B. It was "bellissimo", and we can't wait to go back.

A wonderful address between Atrani and Ravello. Beyond the heavenly side of the garden-terraces of the house and the "dreamlike" view, Roberto is an exceptional host: extremely welcoming and attentive, fascinating to listen to and of course perfectly knowledgeable about the region as his family has been settled here for generations. We would like to keep the address secret.

Roberto and his wife Nada were the most gracious and informative hosts. It is clean, with a beautiful terrace right outside our room. The breakfast was served by the hosts - delicious. We were staying in several B&Bs on our 2 week holiday. Roberto was the most friendly and helpful by far. The view was spectacular. The location of this inn was perfect because it was not right in Ravello but close enough to walk (up many stairs!). At night is was very quiet. Ravello is great if you don't like crowds. Amalfi is too crowded but Ravello is charming and less busy. Again, we would highly recommend this B&B for a wonderful, true Italian visit. Anna and Tony.

Very beautiful mansion with a magnificent view of the sea. Very friendly and helpful multilingual host. However, the accommodation is located between Ravello and Atrani, which implies uphill and downhill walks with each outing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at B&B Punta Civita. The room was fantastic, the view was a dream, but above all else, Roberto and his family were the most hospitable hosts we have ever encountered, offering transport advice and itinerary help. They were always available and ready to help, no matter the time of day or level of request. If one does plan on visiting, I suggest asking to try their home made white wine and purchasing their home made oil. Both are excellent and should not be missed. As for location, absolutely perfect walking distance to Amalfi and Atrani, with the bus to Ravello stopping right at the gate of the property. As for the beach, the nearest one is Castiglione which has generous free beach sections. They also offer Kayak rentals. I would suggest getting to the beach early in the morning as the waters then are peaceful and the beach is virtually empty. Gore Vidal's Amalfi Mansion hangs on a cliff right above the property in full view and Roberto has met the man himself. We found all this very exciting as Kevin Spacey is currently playing him and shooting on the old property. Best decision to make on this coast! Thank you Roberto and family!

Excellent B&B, regarding its location and the welcome and availability of the owners, who are absolutely lovely and generous; cleanliness is a real pleasure. Only small drawback: 2 rooms are dark, and it is important to request the 2 rooms with a direct view of the sea (these are splendid and very spacious).

Roberto, the manager, has always been very helpful since our arrival and has shown a perfect organization from all points of view (bus schedules, ferries, home dinners, excursions, etc.). We conclude by thanking Roberto and his family for making us spend 6 enchanting days.
