Maison la Mitra is located in the city centre, in Via Foria, one of the oldest streets in Naples, famous for the presence of numerous antique shops. Full of typical restaurants, famous pizzerias and pastry shops, this district is home to the famous pastry shop "Poppella" where the famous Neapolitan sweet "snowflake" was born, the renowned pizzeria "Concettina ai 3 santi", the historic restaurant "Lombardi" and many others. Just a few minutes walk away is the Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro, where you can admire the world's most precious jewel "the mitre of San Gennaro"; Spaccanapoli, the decumanus that divides the city in two; San Gregorio Armeno, the street of Nativity scenes; the National Archaeological Museum and the catacombs of San Gaudioso; the Napolisotterranea with its underground itineraries from the Greek-Roman era; the shopping streets (Via Toledo) and the Neapolitan nightlife (Via Costantinopoli and Piazza Bellini). The district is easily reached by metro, getting off at the "Museo" stop on line 1 or at the "Piazza Cavour" stop on line 2. There are plenty of supermarkets, clothes shops and all kinds of articles in the area.
