Situated on the 3rd floor of a historic 16th century residence, “Palazzo Pignatelli di Monteleone”, a national monument, which is famous also for having hosted the atelier of the French impressionist painter and sculptor Edgar Degas in the mid 19th century. From the wide windows of the rooms, overlooking the spectacular “Piazza del Gesù Nuovo”, you could admire the baroque “Basilica del Gesù Nuovo” and the gothic museum complex of “Santa Chiara”. A strategic location just a few minutes away from the city's subways, funiculars, museums and university, music and theatre facilities. The air-conditioned rooms are bright, furnished in a modern style, cosy with super fast free wifi 4. 0. And what about the charm of experiencing the art of DEGAS by viewing the most significant works in the common areas, in the rooms! The reception at the Maison Degas is a special plus! A professional team will welcome you with a welcome drink accompanied by the scent of Neapolitan “sfogliatelle”. The guest will be the object of our staff's attentions in interpreting needs, aspirations, suggestions, a 24-hour assistance before and during the entire stay. In the morning, the spacious dining room becomes a place for the delicious ritual of breakfast: tasting the fresh and varied Neapolitan artisan pastries as well as the rich typicality of salty and dairy products, listening to soft jazz, classical music or music inspired by Neapolitan tradition.
A convivial moment that our staff dedicates to gathering suggestions, providing information and advice for customised tours. At the Maison Degas, a wide range of integrated services (transfer, early check-in; luggage storage, car or bike rental, bar service, tours, workshops). We have 6 double rooms available in our structure and a triple/quadruple superior room: it is possible, on availability, to book a room that overlooks the striking P. zza del Gesù Nuovo, in the heart of the historical centre of Naples which UNESCO declared a Cultural Heritage site, or a room facing the courtyard of our prestigious building.
Parking is available in our courtyard or in an exterior garage not far from our structure at the cost of 25/30 euros per day. If you're coming by car, please contact us at least 2 days before your arrival to reserve the parking lot.
The historic city is characterized by many churches. You often find several of them in one street among Baroque style palazzi of aristocratic families and antique residences. Naples’s most important church is the San Gennaro (St. Januarius) Cathedral, where each year the famous Miracle Blood ceremony takes place. The Gothic churches, the Santa Chiara Convent, San Lorenzo Maggiore and San Domenico Maggiore, as well as the Baroque church, Gesù Nuovo, are worth a visit.
The historic city offers numerous places to do some shopping, above all, for crafts, antiques, and souvenirs. You should definitely visit Via San Gregorio Armeno, the famous street of the nativity scene makers.

At the Maison Degas everything is based on the attention to details: breakfast, rich and delicious, is served in a pleasant and relaxed breakfast room, provided with coffee tables well organized to accomodate our guests and ready to offer you many excellent dishes.
The staff cordiality, generous in attentions, gives to the guests the impression to feel as at home, in the heart of one of the most beautiful Italian cities. The quality attention is the first aspect that guides the provision of our breakfast, always composed by the best ingredients.
We make available to our clients, the possibility to choose between two different kinds of breakfast: the continental one, characterized by a rich buffet with sweeties and savouries dishes, is combined with the typical italian café (espresso, thé, cappuccino...), a great selection of brioche and croissants (with chocolate, marmalade or custard...), handcrafted typical neapolitan pastry as the sfogliatelle and other traditional cakes, fruit juices, fresh fruit cocktail, honey, butter, a variety of marmelade, Nutella, rusks, cookies, cereals, yogurts..and the international one, composed by many dishes as cheese or a fresh local ricotta, ready-sliced salami, cakes, cold and hot drinks and American coffee.
Our staff will be happy to ease and to make memorable your stay in Naples, following your requests and offering a complete availability.

The Maison Degas is located in a strategic position: near the motorway exits, near the Port of Naples which offers connections to the islands of Capri, Ischia, Procida and Sicily as well as a port of call for cruise tourism. In 10 minutes by taxi, in absence of traffic, you can reach the Capodichino airport and, in even less time, you can reach the central railway station as well as the minor railways that connect the city to the Sorrento coast. The structure is an excellent base for those waiting for a boat, plane or train, for those wishing to attend theatre performances, exhibitions and other events, but also for those wishing to relax and enjoy the charm of history as told through stone, arts and crafts: artistic handicrafts...a plunge into the Renaissance. A five-minute walk from the structure will take you to the metro and funicular stations, which climb to the upper part of the city - the vomero district and the hospital and university area. And what can we say about the proximity of the city's most important museums, universities, musical and theatrical venues: a short walk and you can reach the important National Archaeological Museum, the historic Conservatorio “S. Wonderful location, essential room, the check-in guy impeccable, all good until breakfast. I kindly asked to consume earlier, booked at 8:30, and the reaction of the girl froze me. I must say that I was alone and the previous evening I had seen the breakfast room already set up, so I thought my request was acceptable, I don't want to put those who work in difficulty. Instead, the thing strongly irritated the girl in the room, who started shrugging and speaking to me in a very annoyed manner. I would have preferred a "no, I can't accommodate you" said kindly rather than a "take a seat" said in that decidedly uninviting tone and with that almost angry body language. I should have turned on my heels and left, so the blame is partially mine. I have huge respect for those who work while I am on vacation and I am not used to giving negative reviews, but I believe that one should always respond with courtesy, and that professionalism is measured by how one reacts to unexpected events. I give a low rating because it made me feel bad and I am still sorry about it.

Il B&B mi è stato consigliato da una amica che vi aveva soggiornato. Personale cordialissimo e molto disponibile. Ottima colazione con sfogliatelle e paste freschissime.
Collocato in un palazzo storico in angolo con piazza del Gesù nuovo. Posizione strategica per visite turistiche: un centinaio di metri da Santa Chiara e Spaccanapoli. Poco do più per arrivare alla Metro.
Lo consigliamo.

Abbiamo appena trascorso un piacevolissimo weekend a Napoli presso questa struttura, che si trova in una posizione strategica per visitare le meraviglie del centro storico e del lungomare.
Stanze gradevoli, accoglienti e pulite; ottima colazione.
Ma il punto di forza del Maison Degas è il personale che ci ha accompagnato dalla prenotazione al termine del soggiorno con estrema gentilezza, professionalità e disponibilità come mai trovate prima. Un grazie caloroso a Roberta, Antonio e Nicola. Siamo determinati a tornare presto e soggiorneremo sicuramente ancora nella stessa struttura.

Abbiamo soggiornato per due notti e la posizione centrale della struttura ci ha permesso di sfruttare al massimo il tempo disponibile, ottima l'accoglienza, gentile e preparato il personale che ci ha consigliato cosa e come visitare la città. Luogo perfetto per chi vuole vivere l'esperienza di una vacanza a Napoli.

Ottima posizione rispetto al centro, personale gentilissimo e affabile, stanza pulita e confortevole. Unici due difetti che abbassano il rapporto qualità-prezzo: la colazione (migliorabile) e la rumorosità, non tanto con l'esterno (seppur l'edifico si affacci su una piazza alquanto viva è provvisto di buoni infissi isolanti), quanto tra le varie camere e il corridoio (separati tra di loro da cartongesso).
