Description

Luxe sur Mer is a luxurious bed and breakfast with comfortable rooms, each with a private bathroom. Some rooms overlook the Gulf of Naples, while others offer a view of the city. The B&B is located in the center of Sorrento, just a short walk from Piazza Tasso.

The Circumvesuviana train station and the main bus lines are conveniently located right in front of the property, allowing guests to easily reach the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello.

The islands of Capri and Ischia are also easily accessible.

This is a nice location, just off the main city center (a couple of minutes' walk). The best part is the property manager, Luis. His restaurant recommendations were great and very helpful. He was very flexible and assisted us at check-in and check-out; he was able to keep our luggage until we left town. Since the B&B is on the sixth floor, there is a lift (unlike many other places in town). The rooms are about the size of a small bedroom plus bathroom. One surprise was the US$300 required in cash as a security deposit when we checked in. It was promptly returned when we checked out. Credit cards are not accepted at the property. Breakfast is at a restaurant about two blocks from the B&B and includes a coffee, juice, and one pastry. Extras are available for purchase. We recommend this place as a good place to stay in Sorrento.

Everything was excellent. Luigi is a very good host, always attentive, kind and respectful. He gave us many recommendations for places and excursions, etc. If we go to Sorrento again, we will definitely stay here.

We were made very welcome when we arrived at the bed and breakfast. They were also very helpful when we asked about places to visit. The people in and around the bed and breakfast were very friendly. The café where we had our breakfast was also helpful and friendly. We would be happy to stay again if we go to Italy.

My husband and I highly recommend this property! The location is amazing! It is walking distance to so many great places and the train/bus station. It is clean, spacious. The host went above and beyond! We had an incredible time.

To say that our stay at Luxe Sur Mer in Sorrento, with Luigi, was exceptional would be an understatement. We have never experienced such a warm and friendly welcome as we did upon our arrival, it was truly amazing. Luigi's wealth of information is to be commended and all of his suggestions, directions and recommendations of what to see and do and how to get there, were spot on. He is a superb ambassador not only for Luxe Sur Mer but also for Sorrento. His attention to detail and presentation of his property are truly unsurpassed. The rooms are modern, recently renovated, well presented and impeccably clean. The location is sensational, within easy walking distance of the train station, the port, tourist venues, restaurants and the heart of Sorrento.
