Description
Donna Mariella welcomes guests in the heart of Naples' historic center, located on the noble first floor of a 16th-century building under the protection of the heritage authority, where the elegance of a bygone era can still be felt. The property consists of three independent one-bedroom apartments, thoughtfully designed by Paolo and Mariella to provide cozy and functional spaces, perfect for extended stays. The accommodations overlook the building's internal courtyard, ensuring peace and privacy right in the city center.
One of the apartments, named “Il Pozzo,” features a unique detail: an ancient stone well made of piperno, restored to reveal its original thresholds. It is connected to the figure of the “munaciello,” the benevolent spirit from Neapolitan tradition, adding an element of mystery and charm to the residence. Guests also have access to a spacious communal area, enriched with a selection of books about local traditions, a PC station with a printer, and a 42-inch TV.
The property is equipped with fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and a surveillance system to ensure a safe stay. Upon exiting the building, guests are immediately immersed in authentic Naples: directly across is the Pio Monte della Misericordia featuring Caravaggio’s masterpiece, while just a short walk away are the obelisk of San Gennaro, the Cathedral, San Gregorio Armeno, and the entrance to Naples Underground. Within a few minutes on foot, one can explore the history, art, folklore, and flavors of a city that never ceases to enchant its visitors.

I am deeply captivated by my city, even though my roots do not lie in Naples. Since my university days, I began to explore and appreciate the wonders of the historic center. Every corner and alley of Naples, despite its challenges, radiates a beauty that deserves to be celebrated. It brings me immense joy to witness the look of awe on every visitor's face as they discover Naples. Sharing your vacation moments enriches my days. During my university years, I dreamed of creating a space where I could host and share relaxing moments with my guests, and that dream continues to thrive.
