The Historic House Maccarunera is immersed in the Borgo di Campagna, in the province of Salerno. Maccarunera is the result of a careful restoration of ancient water mills dating back to 1500.
The recently renovated structure offers a unique atmosphere that combines the charm of the past with modern comforts.
With 5 elegant rooms, some overlooking the river and others with balconies, each room is furnished with carved wooden furniture that enhances its historical character. The rooms are complete with private bathroom with towels and courtesy kit, air conditioning, heating, flat-screen TV, kettle for tea and herbal teas, mini bar, comfortable beds, desk and free WiFi.

Climbing to the right you can reach the bed of the Tenza river until you reach the place where the waters give life to real waterfalls.
If, instead, from the square you continue to the left, once you have crossed the bridge, you arrive near the Cathedral of Santa Maria della Pace. From the square in front you can enjoy a beautiful view of the village and the river. Immersing yourself in the narrow streets of the center you reach another bridge where you can see the center from another angle.
An unmissable excursion for those visiting Campagna is the one that leads to the splendid oasis between the stream, the waterfalls and the paths that climb up to the source of the Tenza river, a tributary of the Sele. During the summer, between the end of July and August, Campagna's most fascinating and unique event comes to life: "A Chiena". In this local tradition, the Tenza River is diverted to flood the main streets of the city, creating a festive and refreshing atmosphere. Residents and tourists join in a celebration of buckets of water, living a fun and refreshing experience that involves the entire community.
