Description

The apartment is housed in vaulted rooms in the Caracciolo building * built in the late sixteenth century, a few steps from the major decumanus of the old centre of Naples, via Tribunali, It is in a strategic position that combines the old magic of Naples and the millennial culture that the passes through today. The recent renovation by the owners who are architects has made it a B&B full of charm, with rooms characterized by the wide and high vaulted ceilings painted blue with the fresco of the atrium of the building in mind, clearly visible from the apartment and from its ancient balcony in piperno overlooking the court. The rooms offer a space for quiet rest with cozy beds under the vaulted ceilings, terracotta or marble floors, bathrooms in blue and azure ceramics. “It is sweet to feel locked up in the womb of these old factories, guarded and protected by their familiar appearance; almost like finding ourselves in the house where we lived our childhood … shelter to bodies only, or no longer even to souls? “Benedetto Croce in” Neapolitan stories and legends ”
Just behind the Naples Cathedral and the Treasure of San Gennaro, few meters away San Gregorio Armenois the street to findnativity scene artisans, there is also the entrance to the Napoli Sotterranea, the Church of San Lorenzo, the Sansevero Chapel, Spaccanapoli, the Archaeological Museum, and MADRE the new Museum of Contemporary Art.

The location of the apartment is very nice, close to the Duomo and a metro station. Unfortunately, it wasn't clean (dust and hair). There is mold in the bathroom. Communication with the host was good. The interior of the apartment is nice.

We stayed in a very spacious quadruple room, the location is excellent for exploring the historic center on foot. The check-in staff are very helpful and friendly, they gave us lots of information about the sites of interest and culinary delights. I highly recommend it.

No hot water for two afternoons (out of three) in a row. To take a hot shower, you have to find the right time. The explanation given was that it almost never happens, and that they are old buildings. No TV in the rooms. No breakfast because, due to the anti-COVID regulations, the kitchen cannot be used. It wouldn't have been a bad idea to put an electric coffee maker or a kettle in the rooms. The price seemed excessive for the offer. Which is nothing more than a room with a bathroom. Naples is beautiful and fascinating.

The accommodation is located in a historic building in the heart of the city, clean and comfortable, just a few steps from the splendid monuments that I recommend visiting by walking to fully enjoy the unique atmosphere of this city. Luigi was a very kind manager and gave us valuable advice on how to approach the visit and move around for excursions outside Naples.

The B&B location is very good, excellent structure. My family liked it very much. Too bad there was no breakfast (they could partner with a bar on Duomo street). But overall everything is ok.

The fourth time I come to Naples, always with the same organization. From Vico dei Giganti to under the roofs and twice in Vico Sedil Capuano. I really like being in the historic center of the city and mingling with people who live daily in the alleys, frequenting shops of all kinds. Fairly clean, even though thousands of people pass by every day. Next time I'll go to Latina House, I heard it's very beautiful. Thank you guys and keep it up.
