Description
The Country House "L'ippocastano" in the neighbourhood of Cilento's National Park, is located at Cerrelli of Altavilla Silentina (SA). It offers a quiet and comfortable stay in the middle of a green area. Double rooms, three and four bedded rooms are available, all equipped with shower, conditioned air, refrigerator and TV sat. Room cleaning is done daily. A swimming pool, a garden and a parking area are available to our guests.
Shops and services are nearby. Riding school a few meters away.
In about 15 minutes by car it is possible to reach Paestum, an ancient Greek colony, a world heritage site, now one of the most famous archaeological places in the world, appreciated also for its sandy beaches and clean sea. Not far from Altavilla Silentina there are the Alburni mountains, whose highest peak) 1742 meters) gives the name to the whole chain, the characteristic caves of Castelcivita and also Pertosa's caves which, unique in Italy may be visited on a boat crossing a lake originatedby an underground river.
Moreover it is possible to go on excursions through the National Park of Cilento and to follow gastronomic itineraries for the tasting of typical products such as the famous buffalo mozzarella, Cilento's white figs, the remarkable olive oil produced in Cilento and on the hills of Salerno and the DOC wine of Castel San Lorenzo.

Perfect place for our half-day stop on the long journey to Sicily. The kids had fun in the pool, we relaxed because peace and tranquility are not lacking. Only flaw: the roosters in the morning, but we had to wake up early anyway. Impeccable cleanliness, very kind owner, convenient visit to Paestum, many dairies in the area where you absolutely must buy the mozzarella!

We spent 3 nights at Country House l'Ippocastano in the countryside of Altavilla. We had a great time, spacious, very clean and fragrant room. Leo, the manager, is friendly, kind, and helpful, as well as his father-in-law, a cultured and friendly person. Enchanting setting, surrounded by greenery and full of fruit plants available to guests. Comfortable pool for relaxing hours. And their friendly, well-behaved, and non-intrusive little dogs. Highly recommended for those who want to unwind from city stress.

We liked it especially because there is the pool, however, it is in a convenient location, 10 minutes from the highway and the sea. Since it is located in the open countryside, I recommend it for those who want to spend a few days relaxing.

I stayed with my family for five days. We felt at home. A special thanks goes to Leopoldo and the headmaster for their cordiality, kindness, and availability. We stayed at 'Country House l'Ippocastano' with my husband and my niece and we had a great time. The manager is very professional, kind, and helpful. The B&B is located in a very quiet area, so rest is guaranteed. The only regret of my husband and my niece is not having had time to use the pool, which was very appealing as it was very clean. Hello everyone, I was a guest with my family and a couple of friends. Surely the owner will remember us, since when I arrived at the property, I found my parents there as a surprise. It was a beautiful weekend and the owner was nothing short of fantastic.
