Description
The Country House "L'ippocastano" in the neighbourhood of Cilento's National Park, is located at Cerrelli of Altavilla Silentina (SA). It offers a quiet and comfortable stay in the middle of a green area. Double rooms, three and four bedded rooms are available, all equipped with shower, conditioned air, refrigerator and TV sat. Room cleaning is done daily. A swimming pool, a garden and a parking area are available to our guests.
Shops and services are nearby. Riding school a few meters away.
In about 15 minutes by car it is possible to reach Paestum, an ancient Greek colony, a world heritage site, now one of the most famous archaeological places in the world, appreciated also for its sandy beaches and clean sea. Not far from Altavilla Silentina there are the Alburni mountains, whose highest peak) 1742 meters) gives the name to the whole chain, the characteristic caves of Castelcivita and also Pertosa's caves which, unique in Italy may be visited on a boat crossing a lake originatedby an underground river.
Moreover it is possible to go on excursions through the National Park of Cilento and to follow gastronomic itineraries for the tasting of typical products such as the famous buffalo mozzarella, Cilento's white figs, the remarkable olive oil produced in Cilento and on the hills of Salerno and the DOC wine of Castel San Lorenzo.

Motorway Salerno Reggio Calabria, exit Eboli. Then turn right and left at the second roundabout. Go on as far as "Borgo Carillia". In Via Nettunia turn right and then left at the crossing. Go beyond the patrol station "M petroli". After 300 mt. before reaching Cerrelli's suborb turn right. We are there.

Run along the SS 18 direction Battipaglia. At "Ponte Barizzo" turn right and go on as far as the crossing of Matinella. Then turn left and at the fork keep right. Go beyond the patrol station M petroli and turn right before reaching Cerrelli.

Perfect place for our half-day stop on the long journey to Sicily. The kids had fun in the pool, we relaxed because peace and tranquility are not lacking. Only flaw: the roosters in the morning, but we had to wake up early anyway. Impeccable cleanliness, very kind owner, convenient visit to Paestum, many dairies in the area where you absolutely must buy the mozzarella!

We spent 3 nights at Country House l'Ippocastano in the countryside of Altavilla. We had a great time, spacious, very clean and fragrant room. Leo, the manager, is friendly, kind, and helpful, as well as his father-in-law, a cultured and friendly person. Enchanting setting, surrounded by greenery and full of fruit plants available to guests. Comfortable pool for relaxing hours. And their friendly, well-behaved, and non-intrusive little dogs. Highly recommended for those who want to unwind from city stress.

For those who adapt and only need to make a pit stop during the journey. Excellent buffalo mozzarella dairies in the area. Pay attention to the very disconnected road surface.

We liked it especially because there is the pool, however, it is in a convenient location, 10 minutes from the highway and the sea. Since it is located in the open countryside, I recommend it for those who want to spend a few days relaxing.

Ho soggiornato insieme alla mia famiglia per cinque giorni. Ci siamo sentiti come a casa. Un ringraziamento particolare va a Leopoldo e al preside per la loro cordialità, gentilezza e disponibilità. Abbiamo apprezzato in particolare, la piscina con idromassaggio, che ci ha regalato dei bei momenti di relax nelle giornate calde, e la calma e la tranquillità del luogo. Consigliatissimo.

Abbiamo soggiornato presso questa struttura io, mio marito e mia nipote e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Il gestore molto professionale e gentile e molto disponibile.
Il B&B è situato in una zona molto silenziosa e quindi il riposo è garantito. L'unico rammarico di mio marito e di mia nipote è di non aver avuto il tempo per utilizzare la piscina, che attraeva moltissimo in quanto molto pulita.
Ovviamente consigliamo questa struttura

Splendida location in mezzo alla campagna Silentina, a due passi da attrazioni naturalistiche e artistico-culturali di rara bellezza (Paestum e grotte dell'angelo di Pertosa).
L'ottima accoglienza e la gentilezza dei gestori rendono il soggiorno estremamente piacevole e rilassante.
Andate se volete sentirvi in famiglia.

Salve a tutti, sono stato ospite insieme alla mia famigli e una coppia di amici, sicuramente il titolare si ricorderà di noi, visto che (arrivato nella struttura mi trovai i miei genitori li' a sorpresa) è stato un bellissimo fine settimana e il titolare è stato a dir poco fantastico. Presto ci tornerò anche perché siamo stati tra i primi ad inaugurare la struttura e allora la piscina era solo un progetto.
