CasaLora is an ancient country house, situated in panoramic position on the cape of Punta Imperatore, in the island of Ischia.
Originally constructed for the grape harvest, it has been later on transformed in a Bed & Breakfast.
It is encircled from a wide land, rich of fruit and olive trees from fruit, citruses and from a garden that hides evocative corners for your relax.
In the beautiful season the meals are served under the trellis from which you can enjoy the sight of magnificent sunsets.
The kitchen is based on genuine products, and proposes the typical Neapolitan plates from the ancient flavours and scents.

Breakfast
CASALORA's breakfast is served in the living room or under a pergola in the garden and usually doesn't include savory foods, but we are ready to make some exceptions. However, there is a wide selection at the buffet, including hot and cold drinks, toast bread, biscuits, cereals, yogurt, homemade jams (only made with garden fruit and sugar), island honey, and fresh fruit.

In 1997 MIRELLA COVATTA, who was born and lived in MILAN, but whose family came from Naples, transformed in a bed and breakfast the country house of her mother’s family in ISCHIA, realizing in this way at the same time her desire to run away, for part of the year, from the office work and the urban life and her wish to stay a little bit nearer her aging mother who had decided to move to the island.
Their house had always been open to friends and, as time passed, to the friends of their children and to the children of their friends… It seemed then natural to transform this attitude towards hospitality in an activity that could bring back vitality to the ancient house and could also put in light their characteristics: attention to the others, curiosity for all the aspects of cultural life, the capacity to welcome guests and make them feel at home, an always discreet openness.
Their success was also due to the rich recipe book of the family, always full of typical dishes made with the fresh products of the garden and served in front of an astonishing view.
A few years ago the picture has changed. The grandmother is gone, MIRELLA stays a little longer with her grand-daughters in Milan and her son PAOLO, with his Brazilian wife LEIDI and his sister-in-law LUCY, took over CASALORA.
After globetrotting to follow his multiple interests, passing from the development programs for the third world to the musical entertainment in tourist resorts and the Human Rights Film Festival, Paolo has decided to go back to the origins and to make his family grow on the island where, last year, ISABEL and THIAGO were born.

Paolo and his family are excellent hosts. Very well located on the hills of Forio, CasaLora is a magnificent villa. The view over the bay, the pool, the natural sauna, and the tranquility of the garden full of fruit trees make this place a real little paradise. The room is large, well-furnished and equipped (fans, hairdryer). The breakfast is plentiful and very friendly. We could not have hoped for better. Thank you very much and see you soon CasaLora.

I was on vacation on the island of Ischia in June and was very pleasantly welcomed by Paolo, who picked me up at the port. The bed and breakfast is very well located on the heights of Forio. The swimming pool and the buildings are surrounded by a magnificent garden, creating a little air of paradise. Do not hesitate to go there.

Surrounded by greenery, we were able to enjoy breakfast at the communal table, accompanied by pleasant chats with other guests. The products offered were excellent. The pool area was beautiful. I highly recommend CasaLora.

I stayed pleasantly in a structure with a pool, spacious flower gardens, and in a beautiful large two-room apartment with the flavor of historical living with a super panoramic terrace. The only downside is the access in the last three hundred meters through a narrow street, but if I had to come back, I would definitely go back there.

Struttura immersa in un bellissimo giardino, con piscina e sauna naturale.

Sì, ho passato una vacanza, purtroppo breve, ma bellissima. Casa Lora è un piccolo paradiso e Paolo e la sua famiglia sono molto ospitali, attenti e simpatici. Il posto è stato al di sopra delle mie aspettative e lo consiglio vivamente a tutti quanti, soprattutto a chi sa apprezzare la natura e le cose genuine. Spero di tornare, magari in una stagione meno caotica.

Excellent séjour. Cadre magnifique avec très beau jardin et piscine et vue sur la baie de Forio et le mont Epemeo.
Chambre simple et confortable (frigo, ventilateur au plafond, mais pas de clim).
Accueil chaleureux de Paolo (qui est venu nous chercher au port de Forio et nous y a re-déposé).
Excellent petit déjeuner. Laissez-vous également tenter le soir par la cuisine de Paolo et de son épouse brésilienne.
Et Ischia est si belle..
