Description
Immersed into the green and surrounded by century-old olive trees and citrus grove Casale Nunziatina is a total noise free environment, nearby the town center -Piazza Lauro (800 meters) but away from the city traffic and it is the ideal place to spent your holidays in relaxation and friendly atmosphere
It is an ancient farmhouse built in 1700. In year 2006, it has been widely restored; but still preserving the original features, such as arches, walls, roofs, barrel-vaults and it is provided with all comforts required for a pleasant holiday. The tranquility and the relaxation of the guests are fully guaranteed, along with their privacy, as the house is accessible through a private iron gateway.
The Residence is formed by three independent apartments of 40 square meters approx.
Each Apartment has Bed room, Living room, Bath room.
The cooking-area has all cooking facilities for self-catering, including oven and fridge.
The configuration of the apartment allows to accommodate two couples of friends keeping their privacy, as the two rooms are separated by two doors with a shared bathroom.
Each apartment has independent air-conditioning, and heating suitable also for winter holidays.
There are also LCD TV set, Washing machine and hair dryer.
In front of the apartments there are 350 square meters of garden with a well maintained British Green, and provided with umbrellas and beach chairs for the relaxation of the guests. There are also tables and chairs and the guests might have their meals outside or just sipping a cold drink during the warm evenings.
The Residence is located 800 meters from Sorrento main square. From the house it is easy to reach the nearby touristy and archeological sites and it is a starting point for walking up to the nearby hills for those who love being close to nature.
It is accessible through an ancient roman road (2 meters large) for the final 400 meters. The structure does not have an internal parking but we have an agreement with a guarded parking which is located 500 meters from the house. The price for parking is 15 Euros for 24 hours.

Hi,
I am Pasquale the Owner of the Residence Casale Nunziatina and I wish to give you a brief account about the history of this House.
It is an old farmhouse, with citrus groves, grapes and olive plants, which was rented by my grandparents dated back on 1920.
After my grandparents the renting of the Farm was transferred to my parents and in this Farmhouse I was born along with my brothers.
Nunziatina was our mother.
My childhood was a beautiful season of my life, very close to the nature, but I left soon to attend the Nautical School and starting the career of Merchant Navy Officer which lead me to the position of Ship’s Master on oil ships.
I had the opportunity to travel, to know a lot of people and acquire many friends, and I was always appealed and fascinated by the Hotel’s world and the” sense of hospitality “for the tourists and visitors.
Tough I had the opportunity to travel all around the world I have always looked foreword to coming back and living in the old farmhouse where I was born.
Eventually on 2003 I did manage to purchase it. The farmhouse was quite old as it was dated back on 1700 and a long restoration was required.
During this process the house was, practically, re-made but still preserving the feature of the old farmhouse such as wall, barrel vaults, roofs etc.
Once the restoration was completed, four charming apartments were arranged, and their tiling, decoration process and furnishing were strictly supervised by my sister Rosa, a woman which is assisting me to manage the Residence.
Eventually I did manage to fulfill the dream to make available the apartments for the Guests who come to visit us all along the year. Guests which are always welcome as Family’s Friends to show them the place where we were born.
Ah …of course the Residence took the name of our mother Nunziatina, a woman very strong who spent her life for the family and the work, therefore we deemed fair to dedicate to her the Residence.

We were two at the beautiful Casale Nunziatina. Everything worked perfectly, relaxed check-in and check-out. Pasquale is super nice and helpful, we didn't miss anything. It's best to use the free shuttle service to get to the city, that also always worked well for us. You can also walk but the streets are quite narrow and you have to be a bit careful, still completely doable. Happy to return!

Casale Nunziatina is a lovely home in a charming location. It’s out of the chaos of the city but not too far away to walk. The neighborhood is one of the most interesting that we stayed in Italy and Pasquale was an excellent host. He was helpful for anything we needed and was even kind enough to drive us to the bus for our early morning departure. He has a shuttle to get you to/from town if you don’t want to walk, or it’s too late 😉. Grocery store nearby and good restaurants too. The ONLY thing I would suggest is a newer hairdryer, otherwise it was PERFECT. We would absolutely stay there again. Relaxing place to be.

Casale Nunziatina reflects the photos of the property, Pasquale is a delightful person, respectful of privacy but available 100%. The fresh garden with lemon trees available to relax in the evening is a gem. The road is winding and slightly uphill, but Pasquale came to the station to pick us up at check-in and take us to the bus at check-out. A commendable free service from the Casale to the center. Pasquale made us feel very comfortable and very quickly at home. This is a very clean gem of a property for people liking old style building and living like the locals. If you come with a car you will have to leave it at a parking 500 meters away from the house. Pasquale will come pick you up when needed so it’s still quite convenient, but better if you come without a car. The garden is amazing and the family cat very friendly too: I recommend :).

I would recommend this place to anyone, if we travel to southern Italy in the future I would stay at this same place. The room was clean and nice with a large balcony where we could look over the city. The gardens around the place were beautiful and sitting outside eating breakfast was a relaxing, beautiful way to start our day.

The place is lovely, away from the chaos of the center, which is only a few kilometers away. Nevertheless, I believe that, for easier transportation, it's better to rent a scooter. We stayed for nearly three weeks at Casale Nunziatina and just had a great time. The residence is beautifully situated in the middle of lemon orchards, only a short walk away from downtown Sorrento. The apartments are complete and spacious. Pasquale and Rosa being very friendly hosts. Sorrento is a busy town that is worth some visits, and it is a good place to start visits to Naples, Pompei, Vesuvius, the islands in the Gulf of Naples, the Amalfi coast and so on. In case you want to relax, you can go to Marina Grande, a romantic family beach in Sorrento, or you can just stay at Casale Nunziatina, a little paradise under the lemon trees.
