Description
The B&B Bayard 101 is located in Naples, in a historic building in the central Garibaldi square, just a few steps from the train station, a strategic hub for reaching the famous locations of the Sorrentine Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast, as well as the main archaeological sites, such as Pompeii and Herculaneum.

The presence of the subway, whose entrance is located in front of the building, makes this B&B the ideal starting point for comfortably touring the city.

On foot, you can easily reach the historic center, with its renowned narrow streets, the workshops of nativity scene makers, the Sansevero Chapel of the Veiled Christ, the Naples Underground with its Greek-Roman remains, the Decumani, the Cathedral, and many other historical sites.

The rooms, which overlook the square, are furnished in a simple and modern style; the environments are welcoming, the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV, private bathroom, heating, minibar, and free Wi-Fi connection.

The name I gave to the Bed & Breakfast, "Bayard 101", refers to a record of the city of Naples that not everyone knows: it is from here that the first railway line in the history of Italy started..back in 1839!

Hello everyone, my name is Marco and I'm 30 years old. After working for several years in hospitality facilities (hotels and B&Bs), I decided to open my own! That's how I opened Bayard 101 in the central Piazza Garibaldi in Naples, a small but comfortable structure.

I love to travel and whenever possible I plan trips around the world. I love sports (especially soccer as a true Neapolitan), movies, and TV series. I am ready to give you all the useful indications for a great stay in Naples, from the most famous itinerary to less "commercial" destinations. I am a big lover of food and I will also be able to recommend the best restaurants to taste the true and typical Neapolitan dishes!

Super large room with a comfortable bed. Very near Napoli station and the station to Sorrento. Marco is attentive to your requests. The room is newly renovated. The only shortcoming is having to climb about six steps before reaching the lift.

The Pros: Excellent location (literally ~3 minute walk from Napoli Garibaldi's front doors), modern interior in a historical building, host speaks English. The Cons: black mold in the shower, found insects in the towels left on the bed, dangerous area after dark (not a place I feel comfortable walking around, and I'm a large, tall man).

Great stay at the Bayard101. Communication with the host was great. He met us early and showed us to our room right away. Comfortable accommodations right near the train station and close walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Great place to stay. Easy walk to the train station, less than 1 minute. Clean and spacious with high ceilings and beautiful wooden window shutters. There is guest controlled air conditioning in the room and it is remarkably quiet given proximity to central square.

Marco and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and gave us bar coupons when we had to leave too early for breakfast. A wonderful little place if you need to stay near Napoli Centrale.

Place was conveniently located by the train station. Markings to find hotel are somewhat lacking but our host was waiting outside to guide us in. Overall room was very nice, clean and roomy.

Great location! Marco a friendly host, explains everything and gives good advice! Extremely clean room, very spacious, modern environment and at the same time in a palace! Also ideal for longer stays! If we come again we will definitely choose Bayard101 again.

Very satisfied with the welcome and friendliness. Clean and spacious room. The manager of the Bayard101 is a very polite and helpful person. Excellent value for money. The location a few minutes walk from the metro and the station allows you to easily explore the city. I will come back!

The room was ample size for three of us and exceptional standard. We chose it for the location to the train station, which was perfect. Perhaps we could have done with the instruction on where it exactly was located within the building prior to arriving but that would be my only complaint about the property. Breakfast was at a restaurant on the street that was exceptionally busy and we missed having a croissant as they had sold out the replacement a sfogliatella was a little too sweet for the morning.

Marco facilitated us by allowing a drink at the bar instead of breakfast since, having to leave the Bayard101 at 5 a.m., it would not have been possible.

Located just next to the metro/train/bus central. It's an efficient location to travel anywhere. The only downside is if you are a very light sleeper, the morning traffic noise will be a problem. Room is large, clean, and spacious, I would have preferred a kettle to boil some hot water during cold weather though. Host is efficient, thorough, and helpful. Overall a cheap and good place if you are traveling in a group.

"Bayard101" was presumably in a rough spot, near the Garibaldi Station. It certainly was incredibly close and very convenient for me. Like other European B&Bs I've recently stayed in, the exterior did seem a bit rough (to an American anyway) and the small, highly manual elevator was a bit sketchy. But, as an analogy to Naples' reputation itself, the sketchy entry, hallways and elevator rough exterior hides the diamond in the rough. The room was spacious and extremely clean, new and comfortable, with rock-solid WIFI, comfortable bed, modern bathroom and a nice veranda view. Marco met me at the door and was extremely helpful (that is, until the very end, when I became caught up in one of Italy's stupid, senseless strikes). Weirdly, I was offered less for breakfast on my second day than I did on my first...but offering the breakfast at all was a nice touch. All in all, an excellent experience...just like my short but magical visit to Naples.

We had a short pleasant vacation in this very comfortable accommodation for those arriving in Naples by train as it is adjacent to the station. The city center can be easily reached on foot in about 20 minutes. The room is new and tastefully furnished, very functional and soundproofed. We want to thank the owner for the courtesy shown in allowing us to leave our luggage in the facility after check-out. We were able to end our excursion in beautiful Naples much more easily. We highly recommend it!

Very well located, just a few meters from Napoli train station. We arrived late, so we didn't have to walk far from the Alibus stop. Very good communication with Marco about the check-in time, and he was waiting in front of the property. Vouchers for breakfast were provided to get a croissant and a warm drink at the very nearby cafe downstairs. The room was very spacious for 2 people and looked as shown in the photos. It is really a value for money room. The only minor things are the smell of sewer when the bathroom door is open and the bed could be more comfortable.

Very nice, modern and clean room. Very spacious with a lot of natural light. We felt very safe and comfortable. Very easy access to the train station. Close to the ferry port. Breakfast was simple, but enough for a good start of the day. Overall, excellent choice for accommodation in Napoli if travelling by train and ferry. Thank you, Marco!

This is an amazing hotel both in terms of location and service! The view from the window overlooking the square is great, but there is good soundproofing, a large comfortable bed, a clean and beautiful room, with all the necessary hygiene items. Thank you to Marco for his kindness and hospitality, a sincere interest in providing the most comfortable conditions for his guests is evident. Overall, I recommend this hotel to everyone. The photos on the website are accurate.

Brand new facility equipped with all the comforts, I really appreciated the strategic location for moving around without problems. The room was very spacious, with a balcony overlooking Piazza Garibaldi, yet very quiet; very comfortable bed and the decor was well taken care of and modern (I also really liked the original wooden balcony shields that blended well with the modern style of the room). The owner Marco was truly kind and helpful with his valuable suggestions. I will definitely come back.
