Area suburbs
The eastern part of Naples is the closest to Vesuvius and is currently the one most affected by economic expansion due to new developments such as the Ospedale del Mare (the largest in Southern Italy), Apple in San Giovanni a Teduccio, etc. It is also well connected to Capodichino Airport (10 minutes by car) and many prefer it to bypass city traffic. It is currently the least touristified area of the city, making it easier to impact Neapolitan popular culture through knowledge of food and local habits.
