Choosing Villa dei Mercanti means having the confidence to stay 50 meters from the beautiful "big beach" of the "new waterfront" Diamond. A plus that will make your holiday special also because it can abandon the idea of ??having to use the car or public transport. Villa dei Mercanti is also 100 meters from the "old boardwalk" overlooking the sea and the old town beating heart of the tourist town of the Upper Tyrrhenian Cosentino. Each room has a color that describes its essence, is treated in detail and is equipped with every comfort. A citrus characterizes the sunbathing area is also served by now "famous" outdoor dining signed by grandmother Concetta.

from north: Take the A3 Salerno - Reggio Calabria exit Lagonegro North; from there take the SS 585 that leads the Tyrrhenian coast and you enter the SS 18 Tyrrhenian to the south up to Diamante.
from the South: Take the A3 exit Falerna, then take the SS 18 Tyrrhenian to the north for about 90 km up to Diamond.

A diamond can be reached easily by train, opening the namesake train station on the main Naples - Reggio Calabria. With the long-distance trains are recommended stations Scalea (20km north) and Paola (45km south)

Beautiful structure, well-maintained, very clean, distributed over two levels (some rooms on the first floor and breakfast room on the ground floor). Room a bit small but equipped with all comforts. Very kind, attentive, and helpful manager. Abundant breakfast rich in delicious homemade pastries. Strategic location a stone's throw from the sea and the historic center! Free public parking nearby the structure. Great choice.

We stayed at the B&B last weekend. Everything was perfect, the welcome from Mr. Paolo was excellent, who manages and takes care of every little detail of the property perfectly, the room was clean and well cared for. Abundant breakfast with sweets of all kinds. We will definitely return.

The structure is located just a step from the sea and the historic center of Diamante. The garden at the entrance of the BeB is beautiful. Spacious room. The manager was very kind and drove us on a tour along the waterfront of the city and to the breathtaking heights. Breakfast was supposed to be at the bar, but by choice, we preferred to skip it. The water bottles and the two fruit juices were very much appreciated. A place to recommend and to repeat the experience.

Comfortable structure equipped with air conditioning. The environment is clean and always tidy, excellent the possibility of enjoying the garden. The strength lies in the managers: Paolo is a helpful and respectful person, Tania is very good at preparing breakfast, she bakes delicious cakes and cookies, in fact, the breakfast is top and all home made. The location is excellent, close to the sea and also to the town, you can have the holiday without using the car. There is also the possibility of a secure parking, with a small supplement. Positive experience therefore I recommend it.

We spent a couple of days at Villa dei Mercanti. Paolo, the owner, welcomed us very kindly. The breakfast is rich, with many traditional sweets and cakes of different flavors. The location is very convenient, just a step away from the beach. We will return.

B&B located in a strategic position close to public beach, equipped beach resorts, promenade and historic center with the possibility of parking in the area for free or at €10 for the guarded parking very close to the structure. Abundant Italian breakfast with excellent homemade sweets! The staff is exceptional and super helpful! I highly recommend it and would choose it again for the next stay in this fantastic place!

Cozy and comfortable B&B. The owner is super hospitable and available for any need. The room is tidy and clean. The property is a stone's throw from the sea (large free beach) and a stone's throw from the center. Absolutely recommended!

It's a beautiful structure near the sea. Paolo welcomes you, a friendly and attentive manager, he calls you to follow your arrival, he waits for you on the street to escort you. The entrance is in a context of other B&Bs but this one has a very pleasant and well-kept garden where you can sit at the tables. The room is spacious, clean, and with modern furniture, as soon as you enter you have the pleasant feeling of having found the right place. The sea a stone's throw away, the center a stone's throw away, breakfast is done at a bar next door, fresh products, and very exquisite staff. We also came back for a sandwich for lunch and a drink after dinner, excellent tarts. I had never been to Diamante and the splendid sea, the good food, and above all the friendliness of those we met will surely make us return to Paolo.

My wife and I had a pleasant week-long stay at Villa dei Mercanti, just a few meters from the wide free beach and the historic center of Diamante, truly a 'jewel' of the Calabrian coast. The manager, Paolo, is a helpful person, impeccable in managing the clean and functional structure. The wife is an artist of cakes, biscuits, and Calabrian 'bocconotti', which you can enjoy for breakfast. The town is famous for its murals and chili pepper, lively until late evening, with a splendid promenade and a multitude of shops, restaurants, and street artists. The sea is transparent and sparkling, with breathtaking sunsets over the island of Cirella. Highly recommended structure.

Well-presented and very clean facility, impeccably managed and seasoned with remarkable kindness. Paolo is an exquisite person who knows how to please guests with disarming cordiality, making them feel at home. The homemade cakes served for breakfast are enviable to the best of gourmets; my daughter devoured them eagerly. Special place managed by competent people, I can definitely recommend it, I want to return even more.

It was like being at home. The courtesy and availability of Paolo were dear to us in some of our misadventures. Availability for breakfast due to my intolerances. Excellent location near the sea and all services. The villa was fabulous where living some moments of tranquility was pleasant too. Super cleanliness.

I feel like recommending the Villa dei Mercanti to everyone. We stayed for a week, my girlfriend and I, at Villa dei Mercanti and it was a wonderful experience! We recommend this Bed and Breakfast to all those who want to visit the beautiful historic center of Diamante and at the same time be just a few steps away from the beach due to its optimal location. Not to mention the delicious breakfasts that awaited us every morning. We thank Paolo once again for the fantastic hospitality and availability.
