Description
La Meridiana is located in Capo Vaticano, just 8 kilometers from the city of Tropea, the "pearl" of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is situated on a hill 45 meters above sea level, completely immersed in nature and typical Mediterranean vegetation, rich in centuries-old olive trees that provide shade and excellent organic oil. The panoramic garden offers a magnificent sunset that embraces Stromboli and the Aeolian Islands.
The structure consists of two complexes:
- the first faces the sea/garden and consists of apartments for 2/3 people; each apartment has two bedrooms (one double and one single), a simple and well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower, and a veranda or terrace with frontal or lateral sea view;
- the second complex houses our double rooms. Each room is for 2 people (possibility of single use) and is equipped with air conditioning, mini-fridge, desk, safe box, a bathroom with shower, and a comfortable terrace surrounded by trees (no sea view).
Restaurant Salimora
Inside the Residence, there is also the restaurant that offers a Mediterranean, innovative, and young cuisine. We cultivate our garden without the use of pesticides and/or contaminants and we source from local producers who share the concept of environmental and human sustainability.
Private beach
Just 150 meters away, our private beach is easily accessible on foot via a comfortable staircase surrounded by typical Mediterranean vegetation. Our electric cars facilitate the ascent from the beach, in a pleasant and ecological way. In addition to toilet facilities and an outdoor shower, our beach has an umbrella and two sun loungers per apartment/room. We also have a small bar, functional for always having a cold drink at hand or for enjoying a small meal at noon.

Free parking is inside the structure and enjoys the shade of centuries-old olive trees.

We are surrounded by the typical Mediterranean countryside. We are located on a promontory 45 meters above sea level with an incredible view of Stromboli and the Aeolian Islands. Our equipped beach is located on the Fiorina beach, easily reachable on foot from the facility. The renowned beaches of Capo Vaticano (Grotticelle, Praia i Fucu, Formicoli, Riaci) are just a few kilometers from the residence. We offer short excursions to discover Torre Marrana or the Belvedere del Faro, as well as a one-day mini-cruise to the Aeolian Islands or Stromboli by night. The stop in Tropea (just 8 kilometers away) is truly unique: the Madonna dell'Isola, the cathedral, the narrow streets of the historic center, the irresistible temptations of the stalls selling local typical products. In Pizzo, you can taste the truffle, artisanal ice cream, visit Piedigrotta and get lost in the streets of the town. In Vibo Valentia, you can visit the Castle, in Zungri the Sbariati caves, in Serra San Bruno the Certosa. The natural parks of Sila to the north or Aspromonte to the south.

I stayed at La Meridiana from August 28, 2021, to September 6, 2021, with the Bed and Breakfast formula. I was favorably impressed by the two sisters Vittoria, who never hesitated to give me valuable advice on how to move around regarding the places to prioritize during the holiday and to personally serve me a tasty breakfast always rich in fresh products, also from family production, and Tiziana, the first to welcome me on arrival, was also very kind in presenting me the structure, both contributing to creating an atmosphere of tranquility and relaxation. As for La Meridiana, absolutely nothing to complain about, a certainly well-kept garden, the very clear sea reachable by easily descending a hundred meters with the possibility of relying on electric means for the ascent (the only tiny note I can reserve for the private beach, with slightly old sun loungers and umbrellas). The room where I was staying was also in excellent condition, clean and of certainly adequate size, also equipped with a terrace from which you can enjoy a great view of the surrounding greenery. In essence, everything went smoothly in the best way, excellence is not achieved but we are very close.

We stayed for 4 nights at La Meridiana, having the luck to be the only guests: absolute peace. The place truly deserves it because it is in a spectacular location, very close to the sea, which can be accessed by a convenient downhill path (the ascent is ensured by the structure with electric cars upon request). We chose the residence formula in a little apartment equipped with every comfort, including a small veranda with a breathtaking view. It's not a luxury place, but absolutely dignified, with a good standard of cleanliness. The girl managing La Meridiana (Vittoria) is very sweet and extremely helpful. The structure offers its guests a small section of the beach with its own umbrellas and sunbeds free of charge. Additionally, there is a restaurant (also open to external customers) with good cuisine and a very well-kept location. It's a bit difficult to convey the charm of this place with words... you have to go there! My husband, myself and especially our dog had a great time! I recommend it with all my heart!

My husband and I. We stayed for 12 days at this property. Spectacular location, quiet, surrounded by greenery. A small path led us to the private beach, sunbeds and umbrella included. The rooms need a refresh especially in terms of furnishings. Vittoria and Tiziana are nice and kind, ready to fulfill any request. In their restaurant, the food is very good.
