Cirò is a charming town dedicated to wine and the history of the calendar. It is situated on a hill 351 meters above sea level. With a long history and various names like Ypsicron, Krimisa, and Paternum, Cirò is a hidden gem in the region. The town boasts four museums, including the Archaeological Museum, the Wine and Peasant Civilization Museum, the Astronomical Museum dedicated to Aloysius Lilius - the reformer of the Gregorian calendar - and the Alchemy Museum dedicated to Giano Lacinio. Other points of interest include the Carafa Castle, the Cannone Bastion, and the Birthplace/Church of St. Nicodemo. Cirò is situated on a flat land towards the sea with gentle slopes and a particularly favorable climate that has allowed for the production of high-quality wine. In 1969, the wine obtained official recognition as a Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC). The black grapes come from the original Gaglioppo, while the white ones come from Greco. Cirò is also famous for the numerous excellent wineries in the area. The cuisine is another strong point of the town, where peppers are king and used in many traditional dishes such as "pipi" (peppers) with potatoes or roasted sausage, but also with cod, octopus, and anchovies. Among the desserts, don't miss the opportunity to taste the "chinuliddi" (biscuits filled with grape mustard), the "crispeddi a vento," and "i tardiddi e crustuli" (Christmas sweets).

Hospitality and courtesy are the watchwords. Quiet and clean room, you can feel the feminine touch in the decor, refined and very pleasant. Very nice terrace. Breakfast at the bar is a solution that personally doesn't drive me crazy, but it certainly requires a different type of structure and organization/work, here it's more of an 'optional'... but Mr. Roberto from the bar is nice and the croissants are very good. Thank you very much for the hospitality.
