Welcome to the Riviera dei Cedri, a coastal strip that is part of the Tyrrhenian Calabria in the province of Cosenza, in the Upper Tyrrhenian Cosentino, where some of the most beautiful and famous seaside resorts of our splendid region are concentrated.

The municipalities included in this band are just 13, including the mountain villages. The most beautiful beaches are located in Diamante, Scalea, Praia a Mare, San Nicola Arcella and Paola.

Diamante is famous for its eight kilometers of beach with varied combinations of sand and colour, for its crystal clear sea and seabed. Diamante has one of the only two islands in Calabria: the island of Cirella, an islet with a suggestive shape and wild flora whose seabed is splendid and where Posidonia argentata reigns.

Scalea is among the most popular seaside resorts in Calabria, with the old city perched dominating the modern part that overlooks the wide beaches.

The tourism of Praia a Mare is purely seaside due to the over 60 establishments in just over 6 km of coast. It is famous for its numerous outdoor cafes, restaurants and nightclubs.

Located on a 110m overhang. at the foot of which there is a bay enclosed by a rocky arm which gives it the shape of a natural port. It is San Nicola Arcella, a corner of paradise, dominated on one side by the ancient Saracen tower known as the Crawford tower, named after the American writer who stayed there to draw inspiration, on the other by the Arco Magno, a splendid natural arch between land and sea.

Finally there is Paula. The presence of the sea, together with the beauty of the mountains in the immediate vicinity and the sanctuary dedicated to San Francesco di Paola make the city a tourist destination of a certain importance.
