Castrovillari is an important and charming city located at the foot of the Pollino. It consists of two parts: the ancient part, called Civita, which houses elegant monuments and is located at the end of a rocky spur, and the modern part, full of modern neighborhoods, situated in a vast basin at the foot of Mount Pollino.
