Description
Al Tetto Rosso is a countryside home with an authentic character, nestled amidst the greenery of the hills in Acri and positioned between the allure of the Sila mountains and the blue of the Ionian Sea. Converted from an old rural building dating back to the 1940s, this B&B retains the warmth of traditional residences, reimagined with welcoming and bright spaces designed for relaxation and connection with nature.
The five rooms, furnished in a simple yet functional style, create a tranquil atmosphere with details that reflect Calabrian traditions, while the common areas encourage guests to slow down and enjoy a leisurely stay. The large living room, featuring a wood-burning stove, bookshelves, and comfortable sofas, becomes the perfect spot for reading, chatting, or taking a break after a day spent exploring villages, the sea, and the mountains.
Outside, the garden, complete with fruit trees, a vegetable patch, a gazebo, and a well-equipped porch, offers a small haven infused with the scents of the countryside. The property provides free on-site parking, Wi-Fi, and electric bicycles for sustainable exploration of the area.
The experience at Al Tetto Rosso extends beyond a mere stay: excursions, visits to artisan workshops, nature trails, tastings, and activities tied to local traditions allow guests to experience an authentic Calabria, away from the more touristy routes.

Breakfast
Breakfast at B&B Al Tetto Rosso is a special occasion: it’s our opportunity to pamper our guests with homemade cakes, toasted bread with jams, seasonal fruits, and a variety of hot and cold beverages.
For those who enjoy more robust flavors, we offer slices of prosciutto and soppressata (a local delicacy from Acri), mozzarella bites, cherry tomatoes, and traditional local cheeses.
Authenticity and hospitality also come from selecting local products: we source all our breakfast ingredients from trusted local producers, and when possible, we choose fruits and vegetables that we grow ourselves. It doesn’t get any more local than that!
With breakfast, we also aim to nourish the spirit: we love to introduce our guests to traditional recipes from our cuisine or share the “tricks” we use in the garden to cultivate uniquely flavored fruits and vegetables.
Breakfast is served in the common lounge. In the kitchen area, there is an espresso machine available for guests, allowing them to prepare hot beverages at any time of the day.

Hello, I am Elena!
Managing tourism and revitalizing my region have long been my passions, so much so that I studied to earn a degree as a Manager for the Development of Tourist Destinations and as an Operator in Experiential Tourism. Over the years, I have consistently kept myself informed about the latest developments in the management of hospitality facilities by participating in seminars and courses. However, since elementary school, I have had a love for numbers and technical subjects, which led me to obtain a degree in Economic and Social Sciences and to qualify as a Chartered Accountant at the University of Calabria.
My life and my land: an unbreakable bond.
Although I live in Corigliano Rossano, the cradle of Greek civilization, my heart belongs to Acri, where the mountains meet the sea. I am a proud Acrese, I love nature, and I cherish the culinary traditions and folklore of my hometown.
I worked for several years in businesses and accounting firms, but amidst double-entry bookkeeping and financial statements, I always felt a lack of connection to nature and the places of my childhood. This prompted me to return to my roots and my homeland, Calabria. My heart is in Chimento, a small district in the Acrese countryside overlooking the Ionian coast. Here, as a child, I spent my free time with my grandparents, who left me with cherished emotions and memories, introducing me to traditional farming customs, such as spinning wool, weaving baskets, and tending to the garden.
Between dreams and nature: the B&B and its beneficial effects.
And here, where my roots lie, I decided to bring my dreams to life, and since 2009, I have been managing our family B&B in Calabria. The bed and breakfast is nestled in nature, an environment that positively impacts the mind and body. Even a short vacation can help relieve stress and restore tranquility.

The B&B Al Tetto Rosso is situated in an excellent location to explore the authentic Calabria, filled with scents, flavors, and emotions. There is no better starting point to get to know this region than Acri, which is just a short distance from the B&B.
If you envision Acri as a place with nothing to do, let me assure you that this is far from the truth; there are plenty of activities and sights to enjoy in Acri.
Acri is a town steeped in history and culture, where traditional crafts and culinary practices are still very much alive. It is on these unique characteristics that we have designed an experience that allows you to enjoy a truly authentic vacation. Strolling through the streets of Acri offers a "time travel" experience, bringing you back to the peaceful and traditional way of life typical of small towns: a slow pace that is perfect for escaping the stress of metropolitan life, where each step is measured and guided by the quest for a hidden piece of history among the streets.
Acri is predominantly about history, as evidenced by the various religious buildings and noble palaces found in the town. For historians, it is perhaps the ancient Pandosia, the capital of the Enotri. Therefore, there are many things to do and see in Acri—come and discover them!

The answer from the host:
È stato un piacere ospitare Vincenzo e i suoi collaboratori. Sono stati ospiti eccellenti e piacevoli con cui dialogare; sono anche stati molto attenti e pieni di cure per la nostra casa. Saranno sicuramente i benvenuti ogni volta che volessero tornare. Grazie di cuore, un caro saluto.
