In order to understand the history and identity of a people, it is necessary to approach their cuisine. Alongside the most traditional dishes, which are essential on the table of those who discover Salento cuisine for the first time, there are original and delicious dishes.

The restaurant offers its customers fish, shellfish and seafood dishes. The peculiarity of the cuisine is that the dishes are prepared "express". We also serve delicious and refined appetizers with seafood and land dishes, tuna crudités, Gallipoli purple shrimp, and scampi.

The first courses are Solaris Raviolacci, filled with fish and shellfish, Paccheri allo Scoglio, Taglioini with Red Mullet Fillet, Rustic Gnocchi with Shrimp, Clams and Arugula, Risotto alla Pescatora, Pasta "made at home with Casu Ricotta", and "Ciciri e Tria". The last two are typical dishes of Salento's culinary tradition. The "homemade" pasta is made up of orecchiette and maccheroncini, called pizzarieddhri, which, when married together in Salento, become "li maritati".

Every day we have fresh fish to offer, roasted, stewed, salted, crispy fried veracious calamari and shrimp as well as mixed fried fish depending on the availability of the season. In addition to traditional seafood cuisine, you can also enjoy excellent pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven.

The culinary and gastronomic experience will be enriched by our choice of wines and craft beers, which will be personally recommended by our in-house sommelier.

Hello everyone, my name is Eugenio and I specialize in Business Management and Management Control. Since 2006, I have been managing my small guesthouse with dedication and passion. The structure was built by my grandfather in 1959 and has been passed down from father to son until it reached me. It is the family spirit that distinguishes Solaris.

During your stay, you will have the opportunity to meet Papa Tonio who manages the restaurant, Mama Maria who supervises the kitchen, and my sister Silvia who helps me manage everything.

As for me, I am always available to provide you with any information about the guesthouse, the beaches where you can relax, and the places of interest to visit.

We were guests at the Solaris guesthouse from July 18 to 20, 2025, and we felt at home. Kindness, attention, cleanliness, and exceptional food. Additionally, the icing on the cake is that it is just a step away from Torre Lapillo beach, with waters as clear as the Maldives. The location of the property, a guesthouse with a bar and restaurant, is the highlight. Located just a few meters from the beautiful beach of Torre Lapillo with its pure and crystal-clear waters, Pensione Solaris is an excellent place to spend holidays in Torre Lapillo. The small double room that hosted us has a private bathroom, which is a bit small but functional. The room was cleaned every day and equipped with an essential air conditioner for this location, and a small fridge to keep a few bottles of water cool. The staff was courteous and helpful both in the reception and in managing the bar where we enjoyed the breakfast included in the bed and breakfast package. Breakfast included a choice of juice, a croissant or a pasticciotto, and a coffee or cappuccino each, all very good. The cuisine offered by the restaurant inside the same structure is also excellent, with tables in an outdoor garden as well as indoor tables, offering guests appetizers, first and second courses, but also excellent pizza. The property, besides being practically by the sea, is located in the center of Torre Lapillo, close to the streets where there are many other places to eat good food and the various little shops that the small town is equipped with.
