Rocca sul Mare hotel will receive you in an exeptional medieval palace, placed in the heart of the ancient little town of Vieste and very close to the sea.

The special favourable geographic position, at the extreme easter spot of Gargano, will give you an impression of being on a vessel!
Many rooms have a private balcony, with a wonderful view of the isle of the lighthouse and the little church of Punta San Francesco. A furnished solarium is even at yours disposal, to spend your day in relax and assist to the romantic and colorful sunset and sunshine.

You'll taste special garganic food, based on genuine ingredients and daily house made pasta and the special flavour of extra-virgin olive oil, produced in our ancient farm.

We can offer you a menù a la carte with a wide range of choice or, in alternative, an half-board/full-board treatment.

A rich breakfast is always included in the room rate.

When weather conditions allow it (usually from March to October), it is served with the scent and relaxing view of the sea, on a beautiful terrace of typical Gargano architecture. During the winter months, you can relax in the warm room adjacent to the terrace, which maintains the ancient barrel vault with nails and the original 1400s terracotta floor.

You will be pampered with Gargano delicacies, with a menu that includes typical products such as bruschetta with excellent extra-virgin olive oil produced by our ancient family farm, fresh Apulian bread, fruit juices, fresh seasonal fruit salad, cookies and traditional desserts, in addition to the classic coffee, tea or cappuccino with croissants.

Restaurant

We have a traditional restaurant located on a picturesque terrace under the arches, with a romantic sea view. Soon, we will open a new dining room within the ancient Federiciane walls, directly on the cliffs of Vieste.

We had a great time at the Albergo Rocca sul Mare, especially for staying in a historic residence with a picturesque view. Our room was very spacious and had a balcony overlooking the sea. Every morning we had the opportunity to have breakfast on a small terrace also overlooking the sea. The only downside was the kitchen, which was not as we expected. The owner was very kind and helpful.

If I could give a higher rating, I would have done so: I have never had a better experience in terms of the environment. Although simple, the Albergo Rocca sul Mare is very familiar and courteous, offering an atmosphere of absolute serenity, which my wife and I greatly appreciate. We enjoyed the cuisine with excellent, simple, tasty, and abundant dishes at affordable prices. In conclusion, I would like to commend Francesco, the manager, and his entire family who works with him. I highly recommend it to those who do not need extravagance but value service, kindness, and elegance. Ad maiora.

We are a couple with a dog and we stayed pleasantly for ten days at the Albergo Rocca sul Mare: we feel like recommending it, especially to young and/or dynamic people, as it presents some objective architectural barriers, not due to neglect but because it is an ancient building. The stairs to the rooms are quite steep, especially those leading to the third floor, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Punta S. Francesco, the roofs of Vieste, and the sea. The rooms are simple but have everything you need, including a convenient fridge and air conditioning; many of them have a balcony or a small terrace. I recommend the sea view rooms, which generally seem more beautiful and spacious. As for breakfast, nothing exceptional, but you can eat on a small terrace overlooking the sea. The delicious homemade pasta made by Mrs. Raffaella and the friendliness of the waitresses are worth mentioning. Finally, the hotel is located in the most charming area of the city, between the promenade full of lovely bars and Via Mafrolla, one of the most popular streets among tourists. You can walk to the beach in less than a kilometer, although the hotel does not have its own parking. In short, despite some logistical limitations, this hotel is perfect for those looking for a warm and familiar atmosphere, the taste of time and tradition. Absolutely dog friendly.

Excellent central location to experience the country at its best. The Terrace on the top floor offers a spectacular view. The staff is very kind and helpful. Our room is furnished in a simple way, not exactly brand new, and that's its particularity, it projects you into another era.
