Description

The Bed and Breakfast "Casa Augello" is a few meters away from the new church of St. Pius and is the ideal place to spend their days in peace and quiet, as it allows you to move easily on foot to reach the main places of pilgrimage.

The structure is new building, it has double and triple rooms, or rooms adaptable to any need. They have every comfort: private bathroom, desk, TV, air conditioning. Breakfast is served in the Hall at the bar counter or seated at tables.

The Bed and Breakfast is located just a few meters from the entrance of the new church dedicated to San Pio da Pietralcina. Additionally, its location is very convenient for those who need to reach the Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza Hospital, as it can be reached on foot in a few minutes.

Regarding public transportation, we are within walking distance of one of the main bus terminals for both local and suburban buses coming from Foggia and Rome.

Mrs. Giulia is a polite and kind person. The place is clean but the service does not include air conditioning which has to be paid separately and the downside is also the TV that doesn't pick up the channels. Services that are still paid for. For everything else it can be fine.

Very quiet place, attached to the Sanctuary of Padre Pio, comfortable and clean room, the only flaw is that there is no furniture in the bathroom to place personal belongings, breakfast a bit limited in choice. Maximum availability of the manager, a very nice and welcoming lady.

Nice, close to the Sanctuary, the room is comfortable and spacious with a nice terrace! The only flaw is the shower with the curtain and in the morning there is little respect for those who want to sleep a bit more than expected, due to too much noise from adults and children.

It's really a very nice place. Walking distance from the Shrine of Padre Pio. Clean, tidy, and quiet. If I visit San Giovanni Rotondo, I would definitely choose that B&B again.

What's going for this B&B is its location near Santuario Padre Pio, which probably takes 5 minutes or less. However, if you are not familiar with the place, it can be confusing, especially since many people there were not familiar with the place or spoke English. When you arrive at Via Anna Frank, turn left at the end of the street. A few houses down, it's on the right. It's not as close to Santuario Santa Maria delle Grazie or the town of SGR, so it helps to have your own car. It's also the cheapest stay of our trip. The accommodations were decent but toiletries were scarce (shampoo in sachets) and the towels seemed more like worn-out bedsheets with ripped areas here and there. Breakfast consisted of coffee/juice, a piece of croissant, and some biscuits/spreads. I don't know if they allowed refills, but the supply seemed limited.

I stayed with my wife and another couple of friends at Casa Augello for just one day. The property is located a few meters from the Sanctuary. I think Casa Augello is located in the best possible position to reach the Sanctuary without using the car, the latter can be left in front of the B&B. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the place is very quiet indeed.\n\nI must thank the owner as he welcomed us as if we had known each other forever and, above all, I thank him for his valuable advice. My friends and I were supposed to go to Vieste and he advised us not to take the coastal road but to cross the Foresta Umbra and take a trip to Monte Sant'Angelo. What he suggested was truly valuable. I didn't know those places but thanks to Michele, we crossed the wonderful Foresta Umbra and visited the Castle of Federico II of Swabia and the Basilica of S. Michele.\n\nIf I were to return to S. G. Rotondo in the future, I would definitely stay at Casa Augello.

Hello, I just stayed with my family in this beautiful B&B, with three children. The room was very large and clean, with fresh croissants for breakfast in the morning. The location was perfect, outside the church. The owner was very kind and helpful. What can I say, if we return to San Giovanni Rotondo, we have certainly found our perfect B&B.
