Bed and Breakfast Zia Ni is a secluded tranquil retreat nestled in a Puglian olive grove, 5 km outside the small coastal town of Peschici. It is completely surrounded by the Peschici countryside: sprawling olive groves, lush fruit trees, and towering ancient pines.

It is the perfect hide away for weary travellers to relax in comfort, yet is only a short distance from Peschici and its amenities, and the surrounding beaches.

The owners dreamt of having a small luxury bed and breakfast, where guests could unwind in comfort in a peaceful setting. In 2007 construction began in the Valley of Sant Elia, amongst 6 hectares of lush green countryside, and in 2010 the dream was finally realised.

The structure is ecologically friendly, using solar power for most of its energy. The water supply comes from an artesian well bored on the property that is carefully purified at the source and bacteriologically pure.

The building has modern clean lines in keeping with the natural surroundings and the main structure houses the large kitchen, the dining room where patrons are served breakfast in the cooler months and the proprieters private living quarters. There is also a large salon, surrounded by eight large windows, which offer a beautiful view of the valley.

Breakfast in the summer months is served on the huge wrap around terrace, which boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. It is a Puglian feast: freshly baked bread, cakes and muffins, fruit picked from the trees surrounding the hotel, home made jams and freshly squeezed juices. For those that prefer a more savoury start to the day, local cheeses and hams are available on request. We are also more than happy to meet any special dietary requirements, and we can offer gluten or dairy free products.

The four spacious suites are nestled under the verandah, and look out over the olive grove. Each suite is 45 sqm. Each has been named after fruit trees growing on the property and decorated accordingly: Olive, Fig, Pomegranate and Carob.
The beds are sumptous, and the showers in the bathroom are spacious, running wall to wall. The suites are ideal for families with small children as the couch in the lounge area opens up into a double bed.

Each suite has its own private entrance and patio, equipped with table, chairs and sun umbrella. It is the perfect setting in which to take in the enchanting scenery, and enjoy one of the Puglian wines from the well stocked mini bar.

The rooms all boast an underfloor heating and cooling system which keeps the structure at an ideal temparature all year round.

Bed and Breakfast Zia Ni has the only black bottomed pool in the area and a new outdoor Jacuzzi was installed in the spring of 2024.

Location

We are situated 5kms outside the small coastal town of Peschici in Puglia, along the Adriatic coast. We are in the Gargano national forest, yet the gorgeous crystalline waters of the Adriatic are mere minutes away.

It is the ideal location from which to explore the Forest Umbra (Forest of Shadows), and to discover the old historical centre of Peschici with its winding cobblestoned streets. Day trips to the Tremiti islands depart daily from Peschici harbour, and Monte Sant Angleo is 57 km away. We are a 20 minute drive from Vieste.
