Description
Located in the city center and 5 km from the sea, the central location is suitable for those who want to leave their car behind and explore by bicycle. There are routes that we recommend to our customers, to discover our scenic attractions.
The rooms are cozy and well-maintained, offering our guests all the comfort they will need during their stay.
The property offers double, twin, and single rooms, with the possibility of extra beds, a kitchenette, TV, mini fridge, private bathroom, hairdryer, and toiletries. In addition, guests have access to an internal courtyard with a table, umbrella, and chairs for enjoying breakfast outdoors, as well as a relaxation area or for accommodating their pets.
Daily cleaning service and linen change every 3 days.
Breakfast includes croissants, Nutella, jam, butter, biscuits, milk, coffee, tea, seasonal fruit, and water.
INTERNAL REGULATIONS
1. Access to the property
a) ARRIVAL Since there is no reception service available at all times of the day, each guest is kindly requested to communicate the approximate arrival time by phone or email. Failure to provide advance notice may result in waiting times for which no complaints or refunds will be accepted (no refunds are provided in case of early departures).
b) DOCUMENTS Upon arrival at the B&B, a valid identification document must be provided for legal registration and reservation purposes.
c) Once the Notification Form has been completed, the balance of the stay must be paid in cash or by bank transfer (prior to arrival at the property). As per the law, B&Bs, not being commercial activities, are not required to issue any fiscal documents. To prove your payment, we can provide a non-fiscal receipt showing the amount and details of your stay.
d) Children from 0 to 3 years old stay for free.
An additional bed costs 15 euros.
Children up to the age of 12 pay 15 euros per day.
e) DEPARTURE On the day of departure, luggage storage is not available, and the room must be vacated by 10:30 am to allow for final cleaning of the premises. Other times may be agreed upon at the discretion of the manager.
f) IMPORTANT: In case there is no staff present at the time of departure to collect the keys, please leave them in the designated black mailbox located to your right in front of the entrance door.
2. Respect for the living environment
a) STAY Our guests are required to show maximum respect and protect the living environment.
b) CLEANLINESS A correct and civil use of the toilet facilities is recommended, avoiding throwing anything in the toilet bowl and using the appropriate waste bins.
c) LINEN Towel changes will be made upon arrival and on the third day of the week; bed linen changes will be made upon arrival and every seven days. Bathroom and room cleaning will be carried out daily (excluding holidays).
Cleaning will be done from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. If occupied during these hours, cleaning will be done the following day.
Respect for quietness.
a) Respect for silence during the night hours and afternoon rest (1 pm - 4 pm / 11 pm - 7:30 am) is mandatory.
b) The use of the television is only allowed at a low volume.
c) Do not linger to talk in the lobby and on the communal stairs, nor in front of the B&B entrance.
a) RESERVATIONS To confirm a reservation at our property, guests are required to pay the full balance or a deposit equal to 50% of the agreed amount by bank transfer.
b) CANCELLATIONS
- Cancellations made up to 60 days before the arrival date: full refund of the deposit.
- Cancellations made up to 20 days before the arrival date: 50% refund of the deposit.
- After this period, the property will retain the full amount.
- Cancellation requests must be sent by email or by phone and will be valid once confirmed by the owner to the customer.
c) PAYMENTS (DEPOSITS, BALANCES)
- The balance of the stay must be paid upon arrival (check-in).
- Payment can be made in cash, by debit card, or with proof of advanced bank transfer.
5. Prohibitions
a) Smoking is prohibited inside the living environment (rooms, bathrooms, corridors, reception, breakfast room).
c) Do not use the kitchen without permission.
d) Do not allow friends, relatives, or other people who are not staying at the B&B to enter the premises.
e) It is strictly forbidden to take away linens, blankets, towels, or anything else found in the B&B. In case of such occurrence, the guest is required to reimburse them.
6. Damages and Theft
a) Anyone who causes damage to the building, furniture, equipment, etc. will be held legally responsible.
b) Thefts and intentional damages will be reported immediately.
c) All damages to the B&B must be reimbursed by the guest in agreement with the B&B manager.
d) We decline any responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage to items left in the rooms, as well as for parked vehicles (and for any damages to persons, property, or third parties).

The management reserves the right to modify these regulations, which will be displayed at the entrance and published on the B&B's website. In case of non-compliance with the above rules, the B&B has the right to terminate the accommodation contract, and the guest remains obliged to pay the full reserved stay.

The B&B "La stella del Viandante" is a family-run establishment, run by Mrs. Dina (my mother) and Maria Grazia (the daughter).
The house used to belong to my grandparents, but it has been renovated and designed to accommodate the "travelers".
We would be pleased to tell you, if you wish, the legend of the Madonna della Stella, who not only gives her name to our B&B but is also one of the main folkloric attractions in the month of October.

The B&B "La Stella del Viandante" is located in the historic center of Palagiano (TA) in a finely restored house, just a stone's throw away from the main architectural and archaeological attractions that the town offers. The town is also renowned for its production of IGP-branded clementines and for an 800-hectare pine forest that stretches from Chiatona to Castellaneta Marina.
The site is 6 km from the Ionian Sea and is ideally located to reach the main tourist destinations in the area: the rock settlements of Mottola and Massafra; the ravines of Laterza, Massafra, and Palagianello; the archaeological sites of Magna Graecia and the Museum of Taranto; the Itria Valley with Martina Franca, Ostuni, and Alberobello; the nearby Lucania with Metaponto, Matera, and the Pollino National Park.
The management of the B&B is family-run, guaranteeing hospitality and courtesy, as well as delicious breakfasts accompanied by typical seasonal fruits.
The structure is divided into two independent mini apartments. It has a total of 3 air-conditioned rooms (2 double and 1 single) with color TV, private bathroom, and kitchen.
There are no problems with parking near the B&B.
For sports enthusiasts, there is a jogging and mountain bike trail just minutes away from the property, surrounded by nature among citrus and olive trees. For the more adventurous, B&B La Stella del Viandante will suggest alternative routes to discover sites of landscape and archaeological interest to its customers.
