The house was built by our great-grandparents in 1938, as indicated by the main beam. Since then, Giacomo and Vittoria always lived in that house with their 4 children.

During that time, every family in La Thuile had a nickname that distinguished them, and the nickname for Giacomo's family, in dialect, was "La Réich" or "La Radice" (The Root). This nickname was given to them because of the love and attachment that the family had, and still has today, for their homeland.

Since part of the structure had already been used as a guesthouse in the '40s-'50s, we are truly happy to resume their activity and to honor Giacomo and Vittoria by giving it their name.
