Description

This is a typical 19th century Valdostan house that was once used as a stable and barn, but has now been completely renovated and furnished with solid wood furniture.

There are two bedrooms available for guests, each with their own bathroom and provided linens, as well as a living room and full kitchen where breakfast is served.

Guests also have the option to park their car in the garage.

The entire apartment, which includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen for 4-5 people, can also be rented.

Nothing to complain about the structure and the great availability of Mrs. Marilena. The place is isolated and you almost move only by car. Surely, if you are looking for tranquility, this is the right place.

Our host Marilena was incredibly kind and welcoming. She spoke Italian and French and was always in a good mood. The location was perfect in the Aosta Valley, with a fantastic view of the Italian Alps. The breakfast was fine, tasty toasted bread, delicious coffee (even cappuccino!) a nice local sausage and cheese, but unfortunately no eggs or fruit.

This is Marilena's house, which she has arranged as a cozy hostel for more than twenty years. In fact, we felt as if it were the house of a relative. It was the perfect space for us to disconnect a bit, rest (listening to the birds!) and admire the landscape, which is very beautiful from the upper room. It is important to highlight the excellent breakfast she prepared for us: Italian coffee, fresh bread, cheese, even cake and yogurt made by her! I think it is one of the best, if not the best, of the places where we stayed in Europe. To avoid false expectations, this is NOT the place to come to: watch television, have a bar at hand, or a restaurant or a supermarket. (I read some ridiculous reviews around). I do not know if Marilena also prepares meals, but it could be... in any case, it is also possible to leave things in her refrigerator and there is a kitchen that could be available (you have to ask). How to get there from Aosta: without having our own transportation, it was the biggest issue for us, who were backpacking. One option is to walk. The other, which we used, was a bus (#473 at 13:35 or 16:15 from Aosta bus station, for €1.5) towards Quart, get off at Chantignan and walk along the strange path marked on the map (about 15 minutes). Another option is to take the bus to Serán. Marilena can provide more details. The good thing is that the location on Google Maps is well marked. As other useful information, there is wifi and you also have your own bathroom with towels, soap, shampoo... Thank you Marilena, it was brief but we enjoyed our stay!

We had a great time, strategic location to visit the Aosta Valley. Mrs. Marilena was very kind and welcoming. Abundant and excellent breakfast to start the day. Absolutely recommended.

This is an apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms (to access the bathroom you have to exit the room and walk through the small landing). Everything is in Val d'Aosta style, perhaps a bit "agè". The owner was very kind and prepared hot drinks and toast for us while we had breakfast (personally, I would have felt more comfortable if she had then left us alone). Breakfast with fresh bread, a small apple dessert, and, for the rest, packaged products. The apartment is on a hill, about ten minutes from the main road, at the top of a rather winding road, and offers a spectacular view of the mountains in front. Two recommendations: find a way to put an electrical outlet in the bathroom because it lacks one and... use fabric softener when washing towels and sheets because they were really hard :)

Cozy, spacious room in a very quiet location. Very convenient private bathroom on the same floor. Excellent reception. The only downside may be the somewhat steep location, but it also has its advantages: stunning views and lots of tranquility. Recommended!

Easily reachable, welcoming situation with a great view from the room, quiet location, convenient to visit the city and various castles in the valley. Excellent balance of kindness/discretion, splendid breakfast with homemade products, I would gladly come back.
