Description
Federica and Fabio are happy to welcome you to their House “La Maisonnette”. On the first floor of our house, the small flat offers a bright living room with cooking area, a comfortable sofa to relax on, a cosy alpine-style bedroom with double bed and private bathroom with shower. In winter time you’ll be cuddled by the warmth of wood blazing in the stove. In the summer sunbathe on a terrace near the waterfall.
On the sunny hill above Nus, la "Maisonnette" is the right place for those who wish to escape from their everyday stressful life, and want to find a peaceful spot. At the same time, it is conveniently located at the centre of Aosta Valley, so it’s easy to get to all the main resorts and tourist attractions of the region.
Why not explore the less-known but charming valley of Saint-Barthélémy? With its small villages, beautiful walks, interesting trekking paths, cross-country ski runs, and the astronomic observatory J. Filletroz, the valley above Blavy has plenty to offer both in summer and winter time.
HOW TO GET THERE
Leave the A5 motorway at “NUS”, keep to the right during the large bend, then follow directions for Nus or Osservatorio Astronomico. When you get to the junction with SS 26, follow directions for Aosta, then after just 50 m turn right into the old town centre of Nus. Drive through the narrow paved street, then at a larger crossroad turn right (and uphill!) following the regional road n. 34 to Saint-Barthélémy or Osservatorio Astronomico. After 6 km, you'll be in Blavy, a little village at 1000 m sl. m.

A dream come true. In a strategic position and a breathtaking panorama, a location, a piece of land and a management that resembles fairy tales. Excellent attention to detail, maximum comfort and a kindness of the landlady that makes the guest feel at home. Truly spectacular place, a gem at a truly convenient price. Amazing experience and recommended for tourists and road bike enthusiasts for the convenience to mountain routes that leave you breathless. Extraordinary.

The apartment is spacious, bright, impeccably clean, and very quiet. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped and maintained, the beds are large and comfortable, and the bathroom is easily accessible with an excellent shower cubicle. The location is wonderful, away from traffic on the 1st floor of a beautiful building clad in stones with private access, moreover the view is enchanting overlooking the valley. Mrs. Federica is a lovely person, makes you feel like family right away, she is very kind and also good at preparing desserts and jams. I stayed with the family (2 adults and 2 young children) and we were all pleasantly satisfied, we will definitely come back.

Myself and my brother spent three nights here at the start of 2013. The apartment is warm, clean, spacious, comfortable and has a wonderful view from the balcony outside the front door. Nearly all the Aosta ski resorts are within a 40 minute drive, and a stupendous restaurant within a 4 minute one. The owners Federica and Fabio treated us like kings. The breakfast was fabulous, and fresh cakes and a warm fire awaited us in the evening. Exceptional value for money and lovely people. Highly recommended.
