Description

Welcome in our country house, whose name is dedicated to the wine-growers of the family that for a long time have lived here as some documents from the year 1797 testify and which are now jealously guarded in an old chest..

In the hill, in the calm of the Valley of Aosta, a home of epoch of the end of the eighteen century will welcome you with the rural simplicity of an old country house. Centenary vaults in stone, bricks of ancient workmanship tell a history of solid serenity, warmth and life. The Maison des Vignerons is in Donnas, in the outlying ward Grand Vert, among the vineyards of the production of the homonym wine, first DOC of the valley of Aosta.

In the year 2005 we have decided to restore an old house of family following only the feelings and the deepest emotions to succeed in creating a place able to transmit to the guest that strong “sense of house”.

There are six rooms at the disposal of the guests, all furnish ones maintaining the style of the old country houses, with private bathroom (shower), floors in wood, spacious sunny balconies and centralized heating. Some of them are furnished with the furniture of the family and utensils of country tradition.

The breakfast consists essentially in typical products from the Valley as the butter of the mountains, the honey and the jams, the apple juice and dark bread as well as the charcuteries and cheeses. It’s a healthy energetic charge to begin well the day.

The vaults with bricks in perfect state of maintenance have allowed the creation of a particular space with little decorative elements. In the morning you could come down in the small room where a rich and typically breakfast will give you the good morning and in the winter months you will let you wrap from the warmth and abduct from the magic and from the perfume of the crackling firewood.

In the warmest months, you will wake up by the tender song of the sparrows, of the titmouses, of the joyful chirping of the swallows and the sounds of the nature. We will serve you the breakfast in the vine-trellis and the intensive green of the grass, the rosary and the perfume of the aromatic herbs will make you company. The kitchen will try to satisfy also the most demanding palates, we will make you taste genuine sweets prepared by ourselves based on the old family recipes.

Very enjoyable stay. Nice room, great bed. Delicious breakfast, including homemade food. Very helpful host. I gave a low score for the location, because I was on foot and the place is a bit out of the center. The host volunteered to take me to the restaurant for dinner and then picked me up again. Highly recommendable place, if you are by car.

I stayed at La Maison for a few days with my family. The location is convenient if you want to explore all the valleys of Valle d'Aosta. The structure is cozy and clean, the landlady very kind made us feel "at home". The highlight is definitely the breakfasts, homemade sweets and typical savory products from the area. You wake up intoxicated by the scent of freshly baked pastries and bread.

Beautiful place, breathtaking view but not in a strategic location, far from the main attractions. The bed and breakfast is really nice and cozy, with a meticulously cared-for garden for breakfast. The rooms are spacious and the cleanliness is excellent and done daily. Mrs. Lea is available for any further help, clarification, and in my case, last-minute program changes. The only drawback is that for those who love abundant breakfasts, everything is very limited. Highly recommended.

Sono però sorpresa del voto 7 al gestore in quanto personalmente ho "esaudito" tutte le vostre richieste. il gestore voto 7 non anticipa il vs check-in di 4 ore (dalle 16:00 alle 12:00) gratuitamente: i check-in anticipati sono a pagamento. il gestore voto 7 si è impegnato subito al vs arrivo, in meno di mezz'ora a prenotare le terme e la funivia Skyway, facendovi risparmiare qualche euro. il gestore voto 7 ha anticipato l'orario della colazione secondo le vs esigenze. Rapporto qualità prezzo: posso capire che il costo finale della vacanza sia stata onerosa ma su dieci notti prenotate (due camere per 5 notti) due giorni prima dell'arrivo ha cancellato una camera per 5 notti e ridotto il soggiorno per l'altra camera a tre notti. il gestore voto 7 non Le ha applicato alcuna penalità ma ha tenuto conto della sola caparra versata e del buono vacanza. Colazione: sono stupita che la colazione non sia stata abbondante ma non ci è stato richiesto nessun bis. il B&B non è un hotel 4 stelle e tutto viene preparato fresco: 3 tipi di dolci, confetture fatte in casa, burro d'alpeggio, succhi di frutta a volontà, pane nero e pane bianco. Yogurt fresco. Focaccia cotta in forno al momento e servita calda con salumi tipici. bevande calde a volontà. La gestione famigliare non può permettersi gli sprechi di un hotel. Very well-kept house, with cozy and clean rooms, and a lovely garden where we could have breakfast in the morning and rest after dinner under the cool pergola. Abundant breakfast, never dull, with local products made by the owner. The owner was very kind and helpful for any need. It would be truly fantastic if the property offered the possibility for those who wish to have dinner in the evening (with a limited but locally made offer) in order to enjoy the tranquility of the place.

Those who go to stay at "La Maison des Vignerons" are enchanted by the beauty of its surroundings. A country house immersed in greenery, where you can breathe an air that evokes past times, of a life that passed slowly and patiently, even in the daily toil of those who cultivated the land or looked after the livestock. You immerse yourself in complete relaxation listening to the silence and admiring the starry sky at night. But also waking up in the morning to the chirping of birds doesn't happen everywhere. The comfortable rooms, where materials like stone and wood prevail, are tastefully furnished; there is no lack of complementary objects linked to tradition, folklore, or simply used in the past as work tools. The cleanliness is impeccable. In the morning, the scents coming from the kitchen are not lacking, already anticipating the breakfast that Lea offers in a well-kept garden in the shade of a vine or an olive tree. Furthermore, the availability and friendliness of Lea are qualities that strongly recommend this Bed & Breakfast.

Fabulous 4 days to remember from January 4th to 7th, 2017 with my family (2 adults and 2 children).\n\nMarvelous renovation of an ancient stable/warehouse of agricultural products, this place is a B&B located in the center of a fraction of the small village of Donnas (AO).\n\nWelcomed by the very kind and helpful Mrs. Lea, we stayed in one of the rooms: Picotendro which, as you can see in the photos on the website, is simply magnificent, with all possible comforts. Also to be noted is the daily cleaning of the rooms.\nRich breakfasts with typical savory products from the area (cold cuts); strictly homemade cakes, jams as well as yogurt; also some juices produced locally.\n\nGreat location to visit the numerous castles and medieval villages in the area.
