This old house, recently renovated with green building and energy-efficient architectural solutions, is located in the centre of the old village of Hone, on the orographic left of the Ayasse stream at its outlet in the Dora Baltea river.

Although it is located in the historic centre, it has, with its veranda and winter garden, a very private and intimate space.

Very suitable for romantic weekends and restful breaks for sporty couples and hikers.

Independent entrance from the main house.

One room has a small covered and heated winter garden for exclusive use with a table with chairs and sofas.

As of this year, our breakfasts are only with a voucher that can be spent in 2 cafè in the village, just a few dozen metres away from our Bed and Breakfast.

In addition, we provide kitchenettes in our rooms, with a hob, mini fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee machine, so you can prepare your own breakfast.

Tea, coffee and herbal teas are always available.

The voucher is on request and is included in the room rate.

The Maison de Ghitta is located in the center of Hone, it is only ½ Kilometer from the Fort of Bard, an international art and mountain culture center based in an early 1800 military stronghold.
It is placed at the foot of the Champorcer valley, of the Mount Avic Park and on the Via Francigena pilgrimage route.
The castles of Issogne and Verres are only 6 km away, as is the entrance to the Ayas Valley. The Roman Bridge in Pont St. Martin and the entrance to the Gressoney valley are only a few minutes drive away.
In 40 min it is possible to reach the Monterosa Ski district, with the ski facilities of Ayas-Champoluc or Gressoney La Trinitè; in 20 min the ski slopes of Champoluc.
The newly refurbished St. Vincent Spa is 15 km away.
For kayak lovers the Ayasse stream with its spectacular Three Gorges is behind the house.
In the neighbourhood there are also the rock climbing gyms of Arnad and Courtil.

We stayed in the room with a veranda, which turned out to be a delightful, fully independent little apartment. It is set in the old village of Hone, convenient for reaching Bard and its fortress on foot, as well as some small restaurants for lunch. Breakfast(classic) is served at a nice bar in the village, a short walk away. The location is excellent for exploring the entire lower valley within a few kilometers. For trips to the upper valley, it is absolutely best to avoid the very expensive highway(or you must always exit before Aosta). The hosts were the added value of our stay, for their welcome and suggestions on where to go, what to see and where to eat. We discovered a splendid and interesting region with truly kind and welcoming inhabitants.

Very good place, comfortable and cozy bedroom with wooden furniture and equipped with anything you would need to cook basic dishes in the kitchenette. Spectacular view of the Forte di Bard.\nThe host is really kind, welcoming and available to give advice about what to do in the surroundings.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Maison de Ghitta and the town of Hone. The apartment is small but well organized and comfortable. The fortress is truly impressive, and the old town around it is small. Breakfast was outstanding, and the owners are so pleasant. Definitely worth our 2-night stay.

We stayed at the B&B of Anna and Mauri for 3 nights. We found a very clean room with everything we needed, kitchenette, kettle, fridge, etc. Super breakfast, sweet and savory (as we like) with excellent local products. Finally, what can we say about Anna and Mauri, hospitable, very kind, made us feel at home. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back.

Our stay was really wonderful. A small room, but very cozy and equipped with everything you need and more (induction stove and kettle). Short stay at the apartment of this property, which we found clean, welcoming, and quiet, shame about the tiny fridge that may not be quite 'adequate' for the apartment. Positive note for the location of the property, close to the Bard fort and starting point for various excursions. Anna and Maurizio, always available, provided us with useful information to visit the surroundings but, above all, pampered and spoiled us every morning by offering us a rich, varied, and surprising breakfast with sweet treats prepared by them and savory dishes that made us appreciate the local products. I loved my stay with Mauri and Anna at La Maison de Ghitta. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, and were very helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely stay with them again. The room was new and well designed. It had everything I needed and had a great view from the large window. The breakfast was fantastic, too! I needed to work during parts of my stay, and it was a comfortable setting to work from and the WiFi worked well. The trails around Hône were beautiful, too!

Top-notch. The building is well-maintained and clean, the bed is comfortable, and the garden area is really pleasant for sitting outside and looking up at the mountains. Mauro's breakfasts were excellent, he's a wonderful and kind person and very interesting to chat with. Would absolutely stay here again, and will likely look to do so next year.

We stayed at La Maison de Ghitta for one night, we had a great time, the owners were welcoming, kind, professional, and helpful. The completely renovated structure is cozy, detailed, and equipped with every comfort. The breakfast was served with exemplary attention to detail, with top quality products. Mr. Mauri makes a spectacular pie. They also provided us with advice for dining and sightseeing in the surroundings. From the room window, you can see Forte di Bard. Highly recommended structure.

The welcome is very warm. Ana and her husband are keen to make you feel at home, they are discreet and respond to your requests with care and kindness, the place is very quiet, the upstairs room has a huge window and a beautiful view of the mountains and the lose roofs. You don't feel like you're in a mountain chalet, the bed is large 160 by 200, the cleanliness is impeccable. The breakfast served in the room is royal: fruit juice, croissant, special breads, fresh fruit salad prepared the same morning and a different homemade pastry every day! The neighborhood is picturesque, I recommend washing your clothes in one of the many fountains/laundries and letting them dry on the clothesline in the sun, the clothes even dry at night! They will be of incomparable cleanliness and softness that you will never get with a washing machine! A parking space is available at the foot of the accommodation, the only downside is to be careful with the access, the alleys are narrow and winding and two-way traffic, be careful with the bodywork. It is possible to cook but the mini fridge is extremely small. It is impossible not to visit the Fort of Bard, the market of Verrès is on Monday morning, that of Pont Saint Martin on Saturday, on the other hand I advise against the one in Ivrea on Friday morning, it is a tourist trap, the clothes are 90% of very poor quality (except for the few stalls with Italian-made clothes but therefore a little more expensive), if prices are not displayed: be wary, they will give you the price based on the customer, inspect the clothes thoroughly: I bought a dress at a market from a stand run by Asians who are present at all markets, returning to France I noticed two huge holes! Unmissable destination. Thanks again to our hosts.

Friendly and always helpful! We visited 2 other facilities, both with breakfast. We did not notice the note that the structure did not offer breakfast like the others, and the judgment is based in general on the difference in the service offered. We also understand that this is due to the current situation. However, the judgment remains extremely positive and the recommendation to visit the facility, which we will do on our next planned trip for next year (we still have a lot to see in Valle d'Aosta).

Assigning a rating is never simple, often the numerous variables and such different situations are difficult to classify. For this reason, we would like to underline that overall we had a very good experience, the friendly welcome and management of our holidays by the managers was very positive and to be recommended to relatives and friends. Excellent breakfast and room cleanliness in general. The only slightly negative note, but only due to our personal preferences and therefore not attributable to the structure, probably due to the time of year with little sunlight, given the position of the structure located within the historic center, was indeed the limited sun exposure on the very pleasant (and new) veranda next to our room, even though, certainly in summer the sun exposure will be better and more extensive. Last but not least, the acceptance of animals in the structure turned out to be perfectly in line with our expectations. In conclusion, dear Anna and Mauri, keep it up, in addition to being well-prepared managers, you are a lovely couple of positive, very sociable and hospitable people. Comfortable room and comfortable mattress. The size of the bed, a king size, is very helpful for those like us who occasionally have to 'host' their child overnight. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail: the decor is warm and welcoming. Delightful loft with a view of the Bard Fort. For those who wish, there is a convenient kitchenette and a kettle/moka pot for tea and coffee. A special mention for breakfast, truly delicious! It is served directly in the room on a cart. If you stay at La Maison de Ghitta, do not miss it for any reason.

I stayed 2 nights at this fantastic B&B. The manager was extremely kind, welcoming us well, also advising us on some great trails to explore around. The room was beautiful. Very well-kept, clean, fragrant, with a large window overlooking the mountains. In the room, there's also a very convenient kitchenette, with a small fridge. A "starting point" location for all the different tourist destinations. Wonderful breakfast, plentiful, served in the room. Overall rating 10.

We had a great time! The room with a view of Bard Fort is meticulously cared for, tastefully furnished, spacious, and equipped with every comfort, including a kitchenette. The breakfast was exquisite, with homemade pastries and savory local specialties. The location is strategic for visiting the region, both for ski areas and for summer trekking. In the village, everything is available, bars, restaurants, and a nice playground where our little one had fun. A special thanks to the owners, especially to Mr. Mauri who was very kind and helpful. We will definitely come back!

Our stay was very pleasant. The structure is in a great location to visit the nearby castles and to reach the ski slopes. The La Maison de Ghitta structure is close to the Forte di Bard for those who wish to visit it, but what is most wonderful are the bucolic walks just a few steps from the La Maison de Ghitta structure, such as the waterfalls, the Saint Roch Chapel overlooking Hônes, the mountain villages, and many more. Let yourself be woken up in the morning by the most beautiful and abundant breakfast to be enjoyed in front of a large window overlooking the mountain with the sound of the water fountain in the background, and then you won't want to leave.

Excellent facility, comfortable, close to the main roads and highways of the area. Courteous, helpful, kind, and discreet managers make the stay pleasant, also providing directions to visit the area and fully enjoy all the choices: walks, castles, rivers, etc. To be taken into consideration for future visits and vacations. A pleasant stay.

Very kind, helpful, and nice hosts. The room is simply stunning, exceptionally clean and welcoming, and the breakfast left us speechless. The location is very convenient, 10 minutes walk from the station, and being a small town it's easy to move around everywhere. Highly recommended!

Maximum marks for a welcoming, clean, well-furnished structure, located in a very quiet area. I stayed in the ground floor apartment for two people with a private garden, very well-kept and enjoyable. Excellent breakfast offered by the owners with coffee, fruit juice, yogurt, fresh fruit, local specialties and homemade pastries, all excellent and plentiful. Owners are very discreet, kind and helpful. Some grocery stores and a restaurant/pizzeria in the immediate vicinity. Excellent choice for a romantic weekend for couples or as a base for a short mountain vacation.

Very well-kept B&B, the room overlooking the Forte di Bard is really beautiful and modern, even though we opted for the one with a garden so that our little girl could play around quietly. The managers are really kind and try to accommodate you in every way. The breakfast is really top-notch, we ate very well some delicacies prepared with care by Anna. Absolutely recommended. We will be back.

Very pleasant stay in a small corner of paradise! Intimate and romantic room, with a private little garden, very thorough cleaning and delicious, abundant breakfast based on typical homemade products (sweet and savory) served directly in the room. Too bad you can't give a 10+! Very helpful and hospitable hosts, the structure is located in a very characteristic area of the village and is in a great position towards all destinations in the Valley. Enchanting holiday, I left a piece of my heart here, I will definitely return.

The room is spacious and clean. Great location to visit the center, the Bard Fortress, and also to reach the ski resorts. Mrs. Anna is nice and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful and excellent.
