Wood, straw bales, and raw clay define a space where sustainability isn’t a label, but a way of breathing.

We have stripped away the superfluous to make room for what matters: the scent of reclaimed wood, the tactile soul of cocciopesto and clay, the ruggedness of stone, and the warmth of natural light pouring through the windows. Fan of good music and cinema, good wines and foods, we decided to move here on the mountains and let other people to discover our world.

Daniele, musician and videomaker and Francesca, teacher, they'll receive you and they'll make you really good breakfast, with local and genuine food.

Francesca and Daniele, very kind and helpful, welcome you in a beautiful wooden and stone structure, with a spectacular view of the valley and the mountains on the opposite side. The rooms are comfortable and very characteristic (I stayed in the room downstairs). The breakfast is delicious and offers sweet and savory choices. A stay that I appreciated especially for the peace of the place. Absolutely recommended!

Beautiful place with unique features. Spacious, clean, and fragrant room. Beautiful view from the room surrounded by nature. Delicious breakfast with local products, both sweet and savory. The only drawback is that the curtains of the main window only partially block the light from outside, making it difficult to sleep in the early morning hours. Otherwise, the owner was very kind and super helpful. Highly recommended!

If you desire a calm, green, refreshing environment, look no further, you will be in the right place. La Casa di Paglia is a haven of peace, ideally located to discover the region. Super friendly welcome from the owners, smiling and welcoming. We spent a week and a half there. Our room, decorated with simplicity and great taste, as well as a lovely garden full of small intimate corners, full of charm, delighted us. Let us not forget to mention that the breakfasts, whether taken in the garden or indoors, are outstanding with good local products: good bread, cheeses, cold cuts, jam, compote, excellent homemade pastries, and fruits from the garden made us happy from the moment we woke up. Ah, what more can we say, everything was perfect. We will keep an excellent memory of our stay at La Casa di Paglia. An address we recommend without hesitation.

We discovered this small gem by chance and fell in love with it from the first day. Daniele and Francesca have created a little corner of paradise within paradise. Unfortunately, we only spent a few nights there and already want to come back. Highly recommended for those seeking peace and tranquility away from the hectic and chaotic rhythms of big cities. For those who want some tranquility, La Casa di Paglia is the ideal place. It almost feels like time stands still. We had a wonderful stay at Casa di Paglia. The location of the biologically perfect straw and mud house in the blooming gardens around is fantastic. Very relaxing and quiet. The landlords are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very individual, with high-quality organic products from the region. Every morning there was something special. Homemade cakes, pancakes, eggs of all kinds fresh from the chickens on the farm. One evening Daniele also cooked a dinner, very tasty and something very special! We were very satisfied with the small individual accommodation. The upper room is spacious and bright despite the sloping roof. You have a wonderful view all around into the fantastic mountain world.

Within a few months I returned (this time also with my partner) to the “enchanted” Casa di Paglia where Francesca, Daniele, their sweet son, a beautiful big dog, and funny hens welcomed us warmly. The upstairs room enjoys a breathtaking view with large windows that frame a nature that takes your breath away. The construction of this wooden and straw residence is astonishing! Even the walls of the shower leave you breathless considering the ancient technique of cocciopesto used. The breakfasts are top-notch both for the locally sourced products and for the care with which they are prepared (yogurt, cheeses, cold cuts, honey, jams, rye bread, hazelnut cakes, eggs from the chicken coop downstairs, etc., all at very high levels). Even the informal chats with the hosts and the advice on naturalistic routes were truly valuable. We highly recommend Casa di Paglia. Leonardo and Stefano Narciso d’Autore.

A little gem that Daniele and his wife take care of like a child. They make you feel at home fulfilling your every request. Ask them to describe their work and their eyes will light up. A super crush! We had a wonderful stay in this charming house. Francesca and Daniele welcomed us and advised us very well on visits in the area. They offer delicious local products that you can enjoy during the hearty breakfasts. If you're lucky, Francesca might even share the recipe for her fabulous cakes with you. The Straw House is surrounded by very well-kept green spaces, creating a very exotic feel. In summary, a fantastic welcome in a place full of character. We highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back soon!

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights in this splendid B&B. We had the attic suite, spectacular, with a view of the mountains. La Casa di Paglia is nestled in the greenery and the owners are helpful and very kind. The breakfast is delicious and with lots of 'treats'. We will definitely come back.

I enjoyed a very pleasant stay in this unique B&B. The setting is both beautiful and very quiet, being well away from the road. The building has been beautifully designed and decorated, with a natural theme throughout. Even the washbasin is a carved rock! But the best part is waking up in the morning to the breathtaking view directly from the bed towards Mont Emilius on the other side of the Aosta valley. The hosts were welcoming and made me feel very much at home. The authentic pizza cooked in the clay oven in the garden is highly recommended. The breakfast was also excellent, with all locally sourced ingredients, including a delicious selection of cheeses and ham and freshly made bread by the owner. For mountain lovers, there is a room with a fine collection of books on mountain photography of the Alps.
