Description

The Gran Paradiso B&B is located in the historic center of Pompiod (Jovencan) in an old farmhouse called “La Meison de Rose”, and the panoramic view sweeps from the glaciers of the Chateau Blanc to the surrounding vineyards. Nearby it is possible to visit some castles (Sarre, Sarriod de la Tour) and the historic center of the city of Aosta.

In the village a Holistic Center has just been opened with massages / whirlpool / sauna, perfect for relaxation after your excursions
The Pila ski resort is easily accessible, as are the Nordic ski slopes of the Gran Paradiso valleys. The owner, Alpine Guide of the Gran Paradiso and profound connoisseur of the Aosta Valley area, will provide you with valuable advice for your excursions and climbs on our mountains and for your tourist visits throughout the Aosta Valley.

The B&B has been restored directly by the owners, who have patiently recovered the original wood, walls and furniture parts of the building, creating a welcoming and warm alpine environment.

Breakfast is prepared with homemade products such as cakes (Sacher specialties and Tarte des Anciens Remedes), honey at "km 0" homemade jams, and is served in the common room, finished in wood recovered from ancient tables and fully furnished with Aosta Valley furniture. prestigious - Open all year round, suitable for families and sportsmen.

A few kilometers from our bed and breakfast begins the Gran Paradiso National Park, one of the best preserved and protected areas of the Alps, where Nature can be admired in its splendor; ibex, chamois, eagles, marmots and many other animals are waiting for you.

Hospitality.

At the entrance to the house we have set up a place to wash your hands, equipped with water, sanitizing soap and disposable paper napkins.

Inside the B&B you will again find sanitizing gel at the entrance, in the breakfast room and on the first floor and we have masks for those who have forgotten them.

In the summer we prepare the breakfast tables outside as well, but also in the internal breakfast room we have enough space to keep your distance - our products will be served to you in principle directly at the table

Breakfast

Our breakfast is served in the common room on the ground floor, fully furnished with antique wood. The breakfast is buffet-style and includes:
- Two types of bread (white and wholemeal)
- Homemade cake
- Yogurt (both plain and fruit-flavored)
- Muesli and corn flakes
- Homemade jams
- Fresh seasonal fruit
- Milk, coffee (both from a coffee maker and filtered), a wide selection of teas and herbal infusions
- Fruit juices
- Locally produced sugar and honey from our neighbor.

Upon request, we also serve a savory breakfast with eggs, ham, and local cheese. Please inform us in advance if you would like the savory breakfast, as it is included in the regular room price.

We would like to specify that all our jams are made by Karin, using fruit from our family orchards whenever possible. Only fresh fruit and regular white sugar are used in their preparation (no thickeners or sugars with added pectin are used).

Typically, we offer jams such as peaches, apricots, strawberries, cherries, plums, apples and oranges, apples and kiwis, figs, pears and quinces.

The morning cake can be either Sacher cake (chocolate cake with apricot jam) or apple and almond cake (typical of the region), and in summer, we serve fresh fruit cake. Other cakes prepared by Karin include cherry or plum tart, chestnut and walnut cake, carrot and oatmeal cake, and the newest addition, rhubarb cake. All cakes are made with fresh eggs from our family-raised hens.

Upon request, we can prepare breakfasts for people with celiac disease.

By car:
From the A5 motorway (Turin - Courmayeur/Monte Bianco), take the exit "Aosta Ovest - Saint Pierre" and then turn right towards "SR 47 - Cogne Aymavilles" - after 1.4 km, at the roundabout, turn left towards "SR 20 - Jovencan" - after 1.9 km, immediately after the sign "Jovencan-Pompiod", turn right (white sign B&B Gran Paradiso) - follow the road for 200 meters and continue straight after an intersection - the B&B is on the right after 30 meters (wooden sign).

For those coming from Aosta on the "SR 20" (right side of the valley), pass the village of Jovencan and after 1 km (barred sign "Jovencan-Pompiod"), turn left towards "Hameau du Raffos" (white sign B&B Gran Paradiso) - follow the road for 200 meters and continue straight after an intersection - the B&B is on the right after 30 meters (wooden sign).

By bus/train:
From Aosta Railway Station, take Line n° 5 "Aosta-Aymavilles" (one trip every 30 minutes) - get off at the Pompiod stop - walk along the road "Hameau du Raffos" (white sign B&B Gran Paradiso) and after 200 meters, you will find the B&B on the right after the intersection.

Very beautiful structure, well furnished and clean. Availability of adjacent parking to the structure. The area is quiet (mostly residential with houses and small grocery stores), but a 5-minute drive from Aosta. The host is very nice and helpful, she also recommended itineraries for our trekking. The breakfast is plentiful, you can choose between sweet and savory. Cakes, biscuits, and (delicious) jams are prepared directly by Karin and are exquisite. Pity to stop only for the weekend. We will be back!

Cozy, clean B&B in an excellent location for those who want to ski, walk, or visit the surroundings of Aosta. What a marvel! If you need to find peace, hospitality, kindness... this place is for you! As soon as you step through the entrance door, a scent of wood and "home" pervades your nostrils; the rooms are extremely clean and well taken care of in every detail. Abundant breakfast with typical and homemade products (excellent jams and cake!). We only met Corrado who is a fantastic host, made us feel comfortable and it's really pleasant to chat with him. I can't convey how well we felt more than this, you just have to try it to believe it!

Great place to stay in Valle D'Aosta, from every point of view. The structure is beautiful, clean, well-kept, and authentic. Located in a quiet, cool, and quiet place (Pompiod, fraction of Jonvancan). The location is great, reasonably close to all major attractions (Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Matterhorn, Gran Paradiso). The owners are very kind. They know the region very well and are always generous with advice on what to visit, when, and the best way to get there. The breakfast is delicious, with genuine products of their own production, and is served in the lovely garden. All at a really affordable price!

A wonderful place: welcoming, very clean, and peaceful. Excellent location to reach every area and valley of the Aosta Valley quickly. A true gem! Immersed in nature but a stone's throw from the main local attractions (30 minutes from Mont Blanc). Friendly managers always ready to give you valuable advice. Well-maintained, clean environment resulting from a recent renovation managed in detail, making you breathe the Valdostan tradition. Definitely to recommend and to return.

Unfortunately, I was only able to stay at this property for one day, but that was enough for me to appreciate its beauty, the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, and the kindness of the owners who were helpful and kind. For our short time Aosta Valley, we found the Gran Paradiso perfect in every way. The hosts Corrado & Karin we’re very warm and welcoming, they were very open and helpful with information about the area and other requests. The room was very clean and comfortable with modern furnishings. The breakfasts were fantastic with an array of homemade preserves etc, bread and other local produce. We would highly recommend a stay at Gran Paradiso and if we get the opportunity to return to the Aosta region we would definitely hope to be able to stay again at the Gran Paradiso.

Abbiamo trascorso tre giorni in una struttura nata dal cuore e gestita con tanta passione e questo fa sì che ci si senta come a casa propria. Il B&B è praticamente nuovo, ristrutturato con materiali originali e ben rifiniti. Curato nei minimi particolari. Giardino gradevole posto tranquillo e poi le colazioni di Karin. Bravissimi Karin e Corrado continuate così. Antonio e Rossella.

Accoglienza, calore, gentilezza, disponibilità: ecco le parole chiave che contraddistinguono questa struttura e i suoi gestori. La colazione, una vera carica per la giornata. Le marmellate fatte in casa e a km 0 e la torta Sacher di Karin una vera delizia. Ora che siamo rientrati nel caos e nel rumore della vita quotidiana ricordiamo con molta nostalgia i due giorni trascorsi in Valle e ci riproponiamo di ritornare. Grazie, Chiara e Ercole.

Avevamo bisogno di staccare la spina, come si suol dire. Il B&B Gran Paradiso è stata la scelta ottimale. Struttura molto coccola, accogliente e appena entrati mi ha subito trasmesso una sensazione di calore, familiarità. Corrado e Karin ci hanno accolto nella loro semplicità e questo ci ha permesso di sentirci subito a nostro agio. Persone gentili, cordiali, molto disponibili e pronte a darci consigli su come e cosa vedere in Valle d'Aosta. Ci hanno deliziati ogni mattina con una abbondante colazione, caratterizzata da prodotti bio e a km 0. Impossibile resistere alle marmellate e ai dolci di Karin. Alla sera era un piacere rientrare presto a casa e sentirsi avvolgere dal calore della nostra stanza azzurra. Un grazie di cuore a Corrado e Karin per questa piacevole, anche se breve, vacanza. Ci siamo trovati divinamente, la struttura è accogliente e intima, arredata con gusto e amore, i gestori disponibili e gentilissimi. Fin da subito ci siamo trovati a nostro agio, i consigli di Corrado ci hanno aiutato a scegliere al meglio gli itinerari per le nostre passeggiate, le buonissime colazioni realizzate da Karin raccontate nei minimi particolari in tutti gli ingredienti a km 0 ci hanno dato la carica per affrontare le lunghe escursioni al Parco del Gran Paradiso. Torneremo presto in questo piccolo paradiso.

Il gestore è una persona molto cortese ed educata. Ci ha accolto e assistito con molta pazienza dandoci molti consigli sugli itinerari da seguire tenendo in considerazione che avevamo due bambini. La stanza è ben arredata, in modo semplice e accogliente, inserendo piccoli particolari che appartenevano alla casa prima della ristrutturazione. Struttura completamente ristrutturata.

Di B&B ne ho frequentati diversi ma la cordialità, la gentilezza e la disponibilità di Karin e Corrado sono veramente il top. Sono stati abilissimi, nella ristrutturazione degli ambienti, a coniugare tradizione e progresso: il risultato sono camere confortevoli che richiamano la vecchia casa di monatagna, un po' bassa, un po' buia ma carinissima. Il silenzio e la pace a pochi minuti da Aosta sono impagabili e le marmellate di Karin sono da assaggiare tutte (ne ho viste dieci o dodici e tutte fatte da lei). Corrado, instancabile Guida Alpina e tuttofare a casa, ha suggerito itinerari alternativi a quelli da me ipotizzati facendomi scoprire zone poco frequentate ma sicuramente molto più interessanti ed affascinanti delle solite mete turistiche. I consigli di Karin su dove andare a cena sono stati perfetti e senza spostarci di molto abbiamo assaggiato diverse specialità locali. Nel complesso un'ottima vacanza e la speranza è di poter tornare a trovarli. P. S.: se proprio devo trovare un difetto sono i letti che, essendo realizzati in legno, "sfrigolano" un po' troppo Grazie di tutto.

Grazie mille della bellissima recensione ma sopratutto della segnalazione per il letto cercheremo una soluzione, perché abbiamo studiato il problema e non è la struttura che cigola ma le doghe (che sono diverse da quelle di altre stanze) finita la stagione l'instancabile Guida cercherà la soluzione.

Io e i miei compagni di viaggio ci siamo trovati benissimo in questo B&B. La location è tranquilla, rilassante, vicina ad Aosta e ben collegata. Il B&B è bellissimo, ristrutturato con tantissimo gusto, tutto in legno/metallo/pietra, studiato anche nei minimi particolari. Davvero accogliente. I gestori sono simpatici, gentili, disponibili, ti fanno sentire come a casa. La colazione ottima, con prodotti naturali, e anche qui sembra di stare coccolati a casa. Abbiamo fatto snowboard a Pila, bellissima stazione sciistica, piena di punti fuoripista, davvero divertente. Ci torneremo molto volentieri.

Ho scoperto questo B&B per caso e devo dire che questa volta la sorte mi ha dato un'esperienza bellissima. Sono stato benissimo per quanto poco. Struttura bellissima con legno e profumo di casa dappertutto, gestori gentilissimi, colazione buonissima con la maggior parte dei prodotti fatti direttamente in casa come marmellate (ve le consiglio vivamente). Se qualcuno è in zona, qui trova il posto giusto per godersi relax, tranquillità e sentirsi veramente a casa.

Struttura davvero eccezionale, difficile anzi impossibile trovare qualcosa che non va. Le camere comode, la colazione ottima, la posizione ideale per visitare la Val D'Aosta e per ultimo i proprietari, persone squisite che ti fanno sentire molto più che a casa tua e non lesinano consigli per farti trascorrere una ottima vacanza. Difficile trovare di meglio.

Il Bed and Breakfast è situato in una zona tranquilla con un panorama favoloso sulle montagne circostanti. La struttura è pulitissima con camere e bagno che profumano di legno e i gestori Karin e Corrado riservati e disponibili con consigli su mete ed escursioni adatte ad ogni tempo atmosferico. Una piccola perla. Da prenotare senza esitazioni.

Pensiamo che sia uno dei migliori B&B in cui abbiamo mai soggiornato. I gestori sono gentilissimi ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa. Camere curate e con dettagli curati e di qualità. Buonissima colazione con prodotti genuini e rigorosamente fatti in casa, dalle torte alle marmellate. Posizione al centro della valle ottima per raggiungere svariate località. Nous avons passé un weekend exceptionnel. Des hôtes accueillants, souriants, aimables, bref tout ce que l'on souhaite. Les chambres sont décorée avec goût, quand au petit déjeuner, un délice. Avec des produits fait maison par Karin (confiture, gâteaux). Adresse a garder précieusement et à recommander à quiconque désire un endroit calme avec un accueil personnalisé, eh oui Corrado cherche pour vous les petites adresses pour vos achats, vous restaurer ou pour des visites. Un couple adorale, restez comme vous êtes et ne changer rien.

Uno dei migliori B&B dove siamo stati i proprietari (Corrado e Karin) sono due persone gentilissime che ti fanno sentire proprio come a casa non potevamo scegliere struttura migliore. colazioni fantastiche e soprattutto le torte di Karin. Un grazie a Corrado che ci ha dato numerose idee per escursioni, gite e eccellenti posti dove mangiare. Un consiglio non fatevi mancare la visita guidata del B&B da parte di Iacopo vero proprietario della struttura. Speriamo di ritornarci presto.

Struttura e accoglienza stupenda. Grande gentilezza dei proprietari, che ti fanno sentire proprio come a casa. Colazione eccellente e servita in gluten free con una torta buonissima. Massima attenzione alle nostre esigenze. Consigli su passeggiate e luoghi da visitare non sono mancati, anzi abbiamo passato davvero una piacevolissima giornata con i suggerimenti avuti da Karin. Torneremo sicuramente.

The Grand Paradiso is a fantastic B&B. Karin and Corrado take really good care of their guests. Charming clean rooms with lovely interior design. Breakfast was plentyfull with homemade and local products. Pompiod is a good location. Only minutes from Aosta City, Pila ski resort, Cogne Valley and only a short drive from Courmayeur. Will most certainly return. Highly recommended.
