Description

The Bed and Breakfast "The house on the river", in the green near the river Aterno country and the church of Our Lady of the Snow, is located at the foot of the village of Coppito (ancient Poppletum).

Coppito, was one of the founders of L'castles, whose church of San Pietro (1122), became one of the capital capoquarto churches.

It is only 7 km from the city centre dell'Aquila and 2 km from the motorway exit Aquila-West.

The B & B, obtained in an isolated house with two floors, provides the first floor of 3 doubles also use singles.

Two bathroom with internal staff, with a shared bathroom shared with the owner.

At guests' disposal: small breakfast room, possibility of use of kitchen, garden, parking.

I'm sorry to leave this review because I see the property's score is 8/10,but unfortunately our rating is not very positive due to several issues we encountered during our stay from 13/08 to 17/08/25. Breakfast was insufficient and had to be prepared in the room;necessary items were not always replenished for the next day. Having reported that I am allergic to fruit jams,I found cherry jam every morning. Bed sheets were worn and had several holes. Kitchen curtains were stained,and there were many cobwebs both in the bedroom and in the kitchen. Wi‑Fi not working. External lights around the house were not working,so at night you return in the dark with an entrance gate that remains open day and night. Some towels,although clean,had old stains that did not come out with washing. On public holidays (15/08) there is no room tidy service. Payment was requested immediately on arrival. Cleaning was limited to visible areas;corners had cobwebs and dust. Positive aspects: comfortable mattresses and pillows. Location a few kilometers from the center and very close to the hospital if needed. Large parking.

Very welcoming house, close to San Salvatore Hospital, you can walk there. Well heated, the rooms are essential with an espresso machine. There is a private parking in the garden and the entrance is right on the street. I had a great time, I even went back. The only flaw is the breakfast, really basic.

The structure, comfortably reachable from the highway exit, is in a fairly quiet location. The welcome is friendly and familiar. The room is really spacious and so is the bathroom. In the room, there is a machine for espresso coffee, cappuccino, and microwave, along with croissants, jams, and rusks; essential but more than enough for the price paid. Overall, excellent value for money. Convenient private parking.

The property, located a few kilometers from the center, is pleasant, with a surrounding garden and a front space for convenient parking. The two-day stay was excellent: spacious and bright room (only the bathroom a bit limited, but clean), quiet. Impeccable cleanliness. Pleasant welcome from the friendly owner, punctual and precise. Well-stocked kitchen available. Packaged breakfast items in the room. The only forgivable downside is the slightly awkward entrance from the road. We definitely recommend it for the service and the optimal quality-price ratio. You will certainly be satisfied.

All ok, everything super organized. Central location. The bathroom in front of the room but in any case there were no problems (we were notified a few days before that we would be with the bathroom in front of the room). For breakfast, we went to the bar. If I can give a piece of advice, I wouldn't include breakfast in the stay. Anyway, all ok.

The structure is located a stone's throw from the hospital and the university. The rooms are spacious and bright, always very clean, with TV and wifi connection. In the room you will find a coffee machine and everything you need for breakfast. The lady who manages the b&b is always very welcoming and available for any need, even regarding the check-out time. Highly recommended.

Great value for money. Simple but clean room, presence of a lawn with a table and chairs convenient for smoking since it is rightly forbidden in the rooms. Also very useful the breakfast corner with the possibility to make a coffee while waiting for a more personalized breakfast! TV, wifi... I will remember it if I come back to the area!

Very kind and friendly, I spent two days at La Casa sul Fiume, which did not lack anything. Clean and sober, it has a perfect balance between cost and quality. With the possibility of internal parking, then, a perfect solution even for the car.

We stayed in the quadruple room, my husband and two daughters aged 19 and 15. Cozy, comfortable, and spacious room. Very warm at all times (outside was cold due to the season). We rested very well. The property is very close to the center of L'Aquila, reachable by car in a few minutes, and to the snow-covered mountains. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. We hope to return soon.

The structure is located a few minutes from the center of L'Aquila and in a convenient position to visit the Gran Sasso and the nearby villages. The owner was very kind and helpful. Very kind and extremely helpful manager who was willing to accommodate us for overnight stays after we had travel problems with the car, very quiet place with internal parking and 7/8 minutes by car from L'Aquila and restaurants/pizzeria, daily towel change and kitchen available to customers... recommended.

I highly recommend it to anyone in need of accommodation near the hospital or the University. Courtesy is a must, as well as the manager's availability to check in and out at any time. Very convenient for those, like me, coming from afar. The structure is comfortable, clean, and welcoming.

Ideal for those going to the university or hospital: only 400 meters away. Great availability from the owners. Very convenient use of the kitchen. The only downside, for those walking there, is a small part of the road without a sidewalk and on a curve.
