Il Palazzo is a guesthouse with bed and breakfast on the second floor of Palazzo Parente, from the second half of the eighteenth century, with access from both Via Ciorla (Port of the Cross) that via Naples. Entrance to the parking lot from via Napoli. No elevator.

The property has six double rooms with private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, and there is the possibility of adding a third bed. They are furnished with antiques and overlooking the mountains surrounding the town.

The breakfast buffet is served in a large room with frescoed ceiling.

An enchanting and elegant place where time seems to have stood still. Every corner of this B&B breathes history, culture and refinement. Every detail — from the carefully chosen furniture to the hand-painted headboard, to the quiet and enveloping atmosphere — tells of an age-old local tradition, preserved and passed on with passion. Breakfast was served with taste and care, in a setting that recalls a small palace of yesteryear. The structure is located in a strategic position to visit the enchanting Scanno. The rooms are very clean and Mrs. Matilde is an extremely attentive person to the needs of her guests. The breakfast is very good. We will definitely come back.

Very convenient location, with rear parking on the road open to traffic and a pedestrian entrance to the medieval village. The two entrances are connected inside the Palazzo. The structure is well-kept, spotless, and full of charm. Comfortable bed, abundant breakfast with cake and homemade sweets. The host is kind and helpful. We could not have wished for better!

Structure located in a strategic position in the historic center but just a step away from the road leading to Villetta Barrea. Perfect, hospitable, helpful owner with an elegant management style. Comfortable, quiet, and cool rooms. Abundant breakfast in a beautiful setting (frescoed room). I will come back.

Matilde's Palace is fantastic, I rate it 10 out of 10 for everything, welcoming, kindness, room and bathroom cleanliness, abundant breakfast, central location, private parking. Compared to other structures I have visited in previous years, this is the best in Scanno. I recommend it.

The rooms, located in an ancient palace, are spacious and furnished with antique furniture; there is a desk, armchair, TV, and kettle for tea; the large bathroom had a window. The breakfast room was decorated with frescoes and, also, in the anteroom, a portion of the ancient chapel was still visible. The location of the property is strategic because it is located in the historic center in the ZTL, but it has a convenient fenced parking that is closed in the evening. Great availability from the landlady, Mrs. Matilde. The only downside, to consider when booking, is that the rooms are located on the second floor so there are two flights of stairs.

We stayed in a wonderful room at "Il Palazzo" and it had a nice space for us. The place was quiet, the breakfast was delicious, and the host was very friendly and welcoming. She provided us with good directions, parking was on private grounds. Our short time was perfect for us. Everything was very good. Great place to stay, we will be back. I stayed for only four days with my husband and little Erika. We had a great time, starting from the kindness of Francesca and Matilde, the very central location of the property, the excellent breakfast to the meticulous cleaning of the rooms. I offered a stay in this facility to my parents, who declared themselves extremely satisfied, in every respect. They found the atmosphere of the "good old days" combined with modern comforts, as well as a refined yet warmly familiar welcome. The room, very comfortable and airy, with sturdy antique furniture, offers the utmost relaxation, the bathroom is comfortably spacious and modern. The location, in the heart of old Scanno, is truly evocative, as is the view from the breakfast room, overlooking the greenery of the mountain and the roofs of the old houses. A highly recommended stay, both for rest and for tackling challenging mountain routes or immersing oneself - as in this case - in the unique atmosphere of international sports events like the beautiful "XTerra Scanno".

This B&B was in a historic building, furnished with lovely antique furniture, was centrally located but quiet. The hosts were very sweet and efficient. The breakfast included a nice assortment of fruit, cereal, cakes, and beverages. There are restaurants nearby. Scanno is a very picturesque village, and Il Palazzo is a very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Thank you.

My wife and I spent only one night at 'Il Palazzo', finding the place very beautiful, very quiet, and the room spacious and comfortable. We were especially impressed by the welcome from the owner Francesca who treated us as if we were old friends, unlike large establishments where the staff, although efficient, generally show a certain detachment.

Tons of hospitality and kindness. Possibility of internal parking; an excellent quality-price ratio and especially a lot of cleanliness. I chose only overnight stay, so I only had breakfast: abundant and exquisite, with homemade pastries and a wide selection. I highly recommend spending at least one night there.
