Description
B&B Girasole is a residential dwelling affording an independent entrance and spacious garden, located at Introdacqua. This town, on the list as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, surrounded by luxuriant vegetation, is located in the heart of the Abruzzo Natural Parks, enjoying a splendid panoramic view, facing Monte Morrone, Maiella and Gran Sasso. It is close to Sulmona, an excellent fine arts centre, and only a short drive from inspiring Lake Scanno, the Roccaraso-Rivisondoli skier's paradise (totalling 110 km of suitable runs) and Pescocostanzo.

All this makes Introdacqua a valued tourist attraction and an ideal destination for summer and winter hiking. Upon entering the ancient gate Porta della Terra with the bastions of the old fortress, the visitor is carried back to the past while working his way through the charming, narrow streets of the old district, known as il Castello and to the landing of the thirteenth century tower Torre Medievale.

Worth mentioning are also the mother church Chiesa Madre (1474-1510) with its Romanesque bell tower (1600), the Marchese Trasmondi Palace (1400) and Fontavecchia, the old fountain. The town's sleepy hollow atmosphere is conducive to a pleasant and relaxing stay, enhanced by the many cultural events made of folklore, music, good wine and savoury cooking displayed by the local associations throughout the year.

The House
Built in the 70s, this facility underwent complete renovation in 2008. It affords a spacious garden (300 sq. mt.) an independent access, adjacent parking. It occupies an area of 90 sq. mts. Which comprises living room, three bedrooms, one bathroom and a spacious cooking/dining area overlooking the garden, literally surrounded by wooded hills and luscious pine Forests.

The bus stop to nearby Sulmona is only a short walk from the facility; just as close are the mini market and the bank.

It takes only 5 minutes to the village centre, where a concentration of conveniences includes: city hall, municipal guards quarters, police station, children playground, two churches, barber shop, newspaper stand, post office/bank, pharmacy, two coffee-bars, tobacco shop, grocery store, butcher shop, bakery and an open market on Thursday morning.

Kind and helpful owner. The structure is close to Sulmona and other nice little villages and has an excellent price and quality ratio. There is also the possibility of using the very well-equipped kitchen. Highly recommended.

Cozy and well-kept structure with a very charming garden, located at the entrance of the village from where you can reach the center in a few steps. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and each with its own bathroom. Franco is an excellent host and always available for any need. Highly recommended for those who want to spend a few days in tranquility in a small village just minutes from Sulmona.

We stayed at B&B Il Girasole on the 24th and 25th of August. The structure is very welcoming, with spacious room and bathroom equipped with every comfort (even a washing machine for those who want to stay longer). Francesco is a true host, very hospitable and during this Covid period very meticulous and attentive to all the rules to be respected. He is also an excellent mentor to whom you can ask for any advice on places to visit or outdoor activities to do. Moreover, the B&B is strategically well positioned because the secluded and peaceful Introdacqua, surrounded by greenery, is just 10 minutes from monumental villages like Sulmona and Pacentro, and it is also close to some of the most suggestive Hermitages of Celestine V. It is definitely a B&B where we will return on the next trip to Abruzzo.

We stayed at the B&B The Sunflower occupying the double room with bathroom. Excellent cleanliness, quality of the rooms, very relaxing to spend some time in the evening in the back garden, well-kept and with a pleasant view. We stayed a week in Introdacqua, the location of the facility allows for easy parking even during the week of August, which should not be underestimated! Excellent starting point for excursions to Maiella, Gran Sasso, etc... It is located 10 minutes from Sulmona and is convenient to all the services of the town. Franco is a kind and serious person (we stayed from 11th to 18th August 2020, therefore in phase-3 of the Covid-19 pandemic), the cleanliness of the apartment was impeccable and prevention measures were strictly followed. Everything perfect and nothing out of place, highly recommended!

B&B in the center of Introdacqua, recently renovated, equipped with three rooms with private bathrooms and a common area. The kitchen is very spacious and there is also a well-kept garden; the owner is a friendly and affable person, giving the feeling of being at home. I highly recommend it.

Nice property, at the entrance of the town. Mr. Francesco maintains Il Girasole very clean and efficient. Outside area with a green lawn where you can enjoy some evening freshness. Francesco is a lovely person, kind and willing to provide suggestions on possible itineraries to follow during the stay. Recommended.

A stone's throw from Sulmona, the village is quiet and peaceful, very nice and clean. The structure is like the village. The room is very clean, there is everything without too many frills. The manager was courteous and as soon as I can, I plan to go back because there are plenty of excursions to do in the area and the location is strategic.

Good location for those who, like us, enjoy vacationing by moving between characteristic towns and naturalistic points of interest. Sulmona is a few minutes away by car for shopping and more. Extremely kind owner willing to provide information about the surrounding areas. We really enjoyed our stay and feel like recommending it for those who, like us, enjoy moving around to visit as much as possible.

We stayed for two days in this B&B with our 1 and 4 year old children. We immediately felt at home, everything was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, also child-friendly. A large garden at the back, comfortable and functional rooms. Mr. Franco very helpful and kind. A weekend that lasted too short for how good we felt. I highly recommend it.

I stayed at the accommodation taking advantage of the Bed and Breakfast day and I was very satisfied: excellent value for money, clean and comfortable room and bathroom, perfect location to visit Sulmona or go skiing, but above all great kindness and availability of the owner who every morning gave advice while serving a pleasant Abruzzese breakfast. I hope to come back soon, maybe in summer to enjoy the splendid landscapes of Abruzzo.

Abbiamo scelto questa struttura come base per visite nel parco nazionale dell'Abruzzo e nella Maiella e precisamente nelle città di Anversa degli Abruzzi (Oasi splendida del WWF) Scanno, Pescasseroli, Sulmona, Pacentro, Roccamorice (splendidi gli eremi di San Bartolomeo e di S. Spirito) e Caramanco Terme prevalentemente tutte città tra i "borghi più belli d'Italia". Le indicazioni e gli approfondimenti del titolare sono stati preziosissimi. Il soggiorno nel B&B e nel paese è stato molto piacevole e positivo per una conoscenza non solo turistica del territorio abruzzese e dell'Abruzzo. Siamo davvero lieti di consigliarlo.
