The Bed & Breakfast Giardino Agritourist is located on the outskirts of Controguerra and features a well-kept garden that can also be enjoyed in the evening due to its thoughtful lighting.

The property spans 4 hectares of agricultural land and offers a spacious, fenced parking area from which guests can access the large garden.

Bed & Breakfast Giardino is housed in a historic Abruzzese farmhouse that has been extensively renovated and decorated by the owners while preserving its original rustic features.

We provide our guests with five rooms, including two double rooms, one twin room, one triple room, and one quadruple room. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom with a shower, a minibar, and a TV.

Bed & Breakfast Giardino is the perfect place to explore coastal and inland areas.

We are situated in Controguerra, at an elevation of 267 meters above sea level, just 10 km from the sandy beaches of Alba Adriatica, between the provinces of Ascoli Piceno and Teramo. The location is scenic and hilly, nestled among the gentle ridges of the Marche and Abruzzo regions, and enjoys a mild climate thanks to its proximity to the sea and the Laga mountains. The establishment was founded in 2003, inspired by the family that has owned the house for generations, and is conveniently located near the town center within a completely and beautifully restored rustic farmhouse dating back to the 1800s, with an even older grotto at its heart. For decades, wines from the region, such as Montepulciano and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, were celebrated here, produced from the agricultural land directly in front of the Bed & Breakfast, which covers about 4 hectares and is an integral part of the property. Today, the olive trees surrounding the house yield excellent olive oil, which can be tasted alongside the wines and many other genuine local products. The nearest airport is in Pescara, approximately 60 km away, and from Controguerra, visitors can quickly reach seaside tourist spots like San Benedetto del Tronto or historical medieval cities such as Ascoli Piceno, both around 20 km away, or visit the nearby Abruzzo National Park, the majestic Gran Sasso d'Italia, or take advantage of local recreational facilities such as the water park with an attached nightclub, riding schools, and sports lakes.

The B&B is immersed in greenery and tranquility, offering guests a single room, two double rooms, two triple rooms, and one quadruple room, all with private bathrooms featuring showers and TVs. A breakfast featuring local products is served in the rustic and spacious common room, and the property also boasts a large, well-maintained garden with outdoor lighting, wooded areas, fountains, and gazebos, perfect for enjoying the harmony of the surroundings and the panoramic view over the wide valley along the Tronto River. The B&B is ideal for a vacation with a group of friends. For the month of August, a minimum stay of three nights is required.

The property is located on the outskirts of Controguerra (TE) and features a beautifully maintained garden that can be enjoyed in the evening due to its thoughtful lighting. The four-hectare property has a spacious fenced parking lot, providing access to the stunning garden that gives the Bed & Breakfast its name.

Upon request, guests can make use of a convenient barbecue for outdoor dining.

The establishment occupies two floors, both equipped with independent heating, a kitchen, and a fireplace, which can be used after coordinating with the owners.

Thanks to these features, the apartments are well-suited for gatherings of friends or families for special occasions, ceremonies, and celebrations.

As shown in the photos, the interior of the house retains the original characteristics of ancient brick masonry dating back to the early 20th century, visible in the barrel vault of the living room; the antique furniture adorning two bedrooms and the large breakfast room is also original.

The property is in a scenic, hilly location, where amidst the gentle slopes of Marche and Abruzzo, you will find your oasis of peace.

What guests say

Traveler reviews for this property are mixed. The location and spectacular views are highly praised, especially by nature lovers seeking peace and quiet. However, several guests point out major cleanliness issues in both rooms and shared spaces, along with concerns about maintenance and overall management. The property is considered affordable, and those looking for a quiet, natural setting may appreciate it, but attention should be paid to the feedback regarding cleanliness and upkeep.

We stayed at this facility for one night, between August 17 and 18. Unfortunately, we had not read the previous reviews, we trusted the photos seen on the website. The location of the facility would be great, it is the rest that does not work. As soon as we arrived at the place we immediately noticed the abandonment of the garden and the pool. Upon entering the facility for a moment we changed our minds seeing the breakfast room which is the best part to look at, but as we were escorted to the room on the upper floor we were shocked. Already from the opening of the gate it is a problem to enter, not to mention the broken shutter missing several slats, but this is nothing because the door has a broken handle and it was necessary to use pliers to be able to open it and access after making the mistake of closing it (it had been closed by the owner and he told us that he was not aware of the defect). Once inside we were attacked by wasps, he killed three and then I killed seven...the room was full of wasp corpses. And we come to the worst part, cleaning is optional, despite the seven euros we paid extra on the cost of the room, the dirt on the kitchen is indescribable, the chandelier is a graveyard of insects, the smell of the linen leaves us perplexed, we slept with a beach towel to avoid lying directly on the sheets. The toilet is unrecognizable in color, the door of the sink cabinet falls on the feet, the only thing that is acceptable in the bathroom is the shower. We put the bottles of water in the refrigerator only because they were sealed, I would not have put food even under threat. The breakfast can be abundant in quantity, but the milk containers are all open, half empty, left on the tables, with the current heat, we do not know for how long. The cake and pie containers are not the cleanest. This was our worst experience in a B&B Giardino Agritourist. It is a shame to see a facility in such a beautiful panoramic place left to abandonment. The photos seen on the site are not real, in the sense that they should be many years old. I advise the manager to try harder, in his place I would feel mortified and still potentially have a good business. Good luck manager.

The answer from the host:
Forse chi ha la fobia degli insetti tanto da volersi chiudere ermeticamente dentro all' alloggio assegnato, non dovrebbe prenotare soggiorni presso strutture agrituristiche che gia' dal nome evocano il contatto con la natura. Grazie.
