Description
The structure is located in the ancient historical centre of Pennapiedimonte, in the Majella National Park. The rooms are excavating in the rocks and the furnishings is very careful with the utilization of natural materials and local craftmanship. They are four, everyone different from each others and with private bathroom with traditional shower, independent heating.

The stay includes breakfast based on traditionally rustic homemade pastries, marmelade, honey, fresh bread, extra virgin olive oil of our territory. About 100 mt from our structure there is "Balzolo" a very nice place for trekking lovers, where many different paths start. Guardiagrele is far only 4 km from our B&B and this town is famous for its historical monuments, museums and craftmanship. At the distance of about 20 Km there are the ski-runs of Majelletta in Passolanciano. And also the sea is near: for reaching the nice beaches of "Costa dei Trabocchi" are 30 minutes enough. The B&B is born of renovation of an old house in old town and it is combination of today’s comforts with beauty of old houses.

Very nice welcome from the owner, Mrs. Antonella. Comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast with the lady available to indicate the various excursions to do. The only tiny suggestion is that I would put ceiling fans instead of standing fans, considering the heat that is unfortunately present even at that altitude. An experience to be done! Thank you.

Beautiful and very well-kept Bed & Breakfast, very kind and helpful owners. In the room, meticulously detailed, a very useful diary where you will find the history of the town and the B&B, the places to visit and the itineraries, what can I say... excellent experience to repeat!

Lo Gnomo is a fantastic B&B - a very old house built into the rock and beautifully restored. Our room was comfortable and quiet, and the shower worked well. Antonella is a lovely host who gave us information on car hire and where to eat, including booking our first night's dinner for us. She made us an amazing breakfast with home made cake and local parties, yogurt and fresh fruit. We could also use the kitchen to make tea or coffee when we wanted. Grazie mille.

The rooms are very spacious, of a studied and refined simplicity. The bathrooms are functional, with very comfortable showers and everything needed. The welcome from the B&B owner is particularly warm. Antonella is a person not only hospitable but also very helpful, always attentive to the needs of her guests for whom she prepares a daily sweet like a donut for breakfast. The opportunity to access the kitchen and its comforts at any time is priceless. Moreover, any request made, even questions about local flora and fauna, Antonella is always ready to meet the needs of her guests.\n\nOnly small downside, the humidity of a room, otherwise exceptionally cool in the summer heat, but unfortunately burdened by the problem of a sweating rock wall.\n\nThe pleasantness of the stay exceeded my expectations.

I spent a night during the Christmas holidays in this establishment. Unfortunately, it is not signposted in the town, so it is a bit difficult to reach. The satellite navigator made me take a rather challenging road. However, the kitchen offers a stunning view. Moreover, the place is very beautiful, very well taken care of even in the smallest details. The rooms with the rock view are fabulous. The room was perhaps a bit damp, but the blankets and duvets hold up well. You have the feeling of being at home, the soft lights and the Christmas decorations gave me a great sense of warmth. It is true that breakfast is to be prepared on your own, but there is everything you could wish for. I prefer to have the privacy of preparing my warm breakfast rather than having someone do it for me. We left at 1 PM and the property did not raise any objections. In short, although it is a bit expensive, it is definitely worth the money spent. Recommended!
