Description
We are located in the historical centre of Pescasseroli, in the province of L’Aquila, the historical capital of the National Park of Abruzzo- Lazio- and Molise, one of the most important protected areas of Italy.Pescasseroli is situated in the upper valley of the Sangro River, 1167m above sea level among ancient beech forests and suggestive mountains.
The urban context next to our facility is typical of mountain villages of the Abruzzi with houses in stone and brick.
At ten or so metres away there is the parish church of medieval origins. The ruins of the Mancino Castle which dominate the mountain slopes are clearly visible from the windows of some of our rooms.
The house has recently been renovated to make it comfortable and welcoming, with a private bathroom in each room. At the same time extreme care has been taken to preserve all the elements which characterized it as a middle-class dwelling of the beginning of last century; from the door and window frames, original doors to the ancient terracotta tiled floors, most of the furniture, furnishings, and paintings and photos of the period. Certain architectural elements have also been restored, such as the walls and brick and stone fireplaces.

B&B located in the center of the village, quiet and cool on summer days. The room has a small kitchenette with a small fridge. The small bathroom with a functioning shower. Salvatore very kind and extremely helpful.

Very welcoming structure in the center of Pescasseroli with adjacent parking. Typical late nineteenth-century building, with terracotta and wooden floors, offers the warmth of an ancient place and the discreet but always kind and helpful presence of the owner. Rich and quality Italian breakfast.

I stayed at the B&B Via della Piazza with my husband and daughter last weekend and we had a great time. The B&B is very central, the room is spacious and tastefully decorated, the breakfast is abundant and varied, not to mention the kindness and availability of the manager. We will definitely come back.

Before anything else, Salvatore, the manager is a helpful, attentive, and generous person. The structure is a kind of castle disguised as a palace inside of which there is a maze of stairs and rooms that wind from the bottom to the top, surrounded by real antique furniture from the beginning of the last century. The palace is completely renovated and very comfortable, with no drafts of cold in the well-heated rooms. Obviously, in a structure of this quality, one cannot and should not expect conveniences like an elevator for strollers or luggage. The beauty of the place makes you forget all fatigue. The rooms are cleaned daily, including changing of towels. Breakfast boasts typical local sweets that the manager renews every morning and are excellent both in taste and quantity. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat in the Abruzzo National Park, this B&B has everything you need.
