Description

Four comfortable rooms, as cozy as only "grandma's house" can be, in the old historic center of the town, Massa D'Albe, near Monte Velino.

The rooms can accommodate up to a maximum of 10 people.

The structure is very versatile and also offers the possibility of using the rooms according to one's needs. Being developed on two levels with independent services, the guest can indeed take advantage of a whole apartment.

On each level, the guest will have at their disposal a kitchen, a bathroom, and two bedrooms; therefore, they can choose the solution that best suits their needs.

Every type of solution will be agreed upon with the management.

A spacious and bright living room where you can enjoy breakfast and spend moments of relaxation in the enveloping tranquility of the mountains, read, work, etc.

During the summer months, breakfast can be enjoyed in the pergola adjacent to the structure.

A spacious warehouse to be used as a storage for mountain equipment, skis, bicycles, etc.

Our facility is conveniently located as it is right in the center of Abruzzo, less than 30 minutes from L'Aquila and an hour from Rome and Pescara. The Avezzano and Magliano dei Marsi highway exits (A25 highway) are just 5 minutes away from our B&B. We are approximately 15 minutes away from the Ovindoli ski resorts.

During the Cammino di San Tommaso, from Rome to Ortona, I chose the B&B A Casa di Nonna and I must say that I did not expect to find such a wonderfully welcoming and satisfying accommodation. With exquisite hospitality, the owners welcomed me and showed me my accommodation, with new furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen available, a large living room for relaxation and breakfast, a magnificent large room with a double bed and very comfortable mattresses, and a nice bathroom with a shower. Also, an external area, inside the courtyard, for laundry use adds value to the house. Massa D'Albe has a decent size but few shops and facilities and being out of the tourist season and unable to buy groceries, I was facing an evening without dinner, but Mrs. Paola solved the situation by bringing me some dishes she had cooked specifically for me. Exquisite kindness! With a well-stocked table of sweets and delicacies prepared by her, even the morning breakfast was well appreciated. Excellent, then, the value for money. I could not have asked for more. I resumed my Cammino very satisfied and full of energy. Thanks to the owners, Mr. Federico and Paola.

For a beautiful excursion organized by Cai di Viterbo on Mount Velino, the ideal starting point is Massa d'Alba; and staying at the B&B A Casa di Nonna made it wonderful! The structure is new and equipped with all comforts. The owners are very kind and, having to get up early in the morning for the excursion, they had everything ready for us with a selection of excellent homemade pastries, espresso coffee, tea, herbal teas, and even a snack upon our return. What can I say, my next excursion in the area will include a stop at the B&B A Casa di Nonna! Well done Paola and the whole family.
